1 Haleloia. Miderà ny anaran’ i Jehovah; Miderà, ianareo mpanompon’ i Jehovah,

Praise ye the name of the Lord: O you his servants, praise the Lord:

2 Hianareo izay mpitoetra ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah, Eo anatin’ ny kianjan’ ny tranon’ Andriamanitsika.

You that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.

3 Miderà an’ i Jehovah, fa tsara Izy; Mankalazà ny anarany, fa mahafinaritra izany.

Praise ye the Lord, for the Lord is good: sing ye to his name, for it is sweet.

4 Fa Jakoba nofidin’ i Jehovah ho Azy, Ary Isiraely ho rakitra soa ho Azy,

For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself: Israel for his own possession.

5 Fa fantatro fa lehibe Jehovah, Ary ambonin’ ny andriamanitra rehetra ny Tompontsika.

For I have known that the Lord is great, and our God is above all gods.

6 Manao izay sitrapony rehetra Jehovah, Na any amin’ ny lanitra, na etỳ ambonin’ ny tany, Na any amin’ ny ranomasina sy ny rano lalina rehetra.

Whatsoever the Lord hath pleased he hath done, in heaven, in earth, in the sea, and in all the deeps.

7 Mampiakatra zavona avy amin’ ny faran’ ny tany Izy; Manao helatra arahin-dranonorana Izy; Mamoaka ny rivotra avy ao an-trano fitehirizany Izy,

He bringeth up clouds from the end of the earth: he hath made lightnings for the rain. He bringeth forth winds out of his stores:

8 Dia Ilay namely ny voalohan-terak’ i Egypta, Na olona, na biby.

He slew the firstborn of Egypt from man even unto beast.

9 Nanatitra famantarana sy fahagagana teo aminao Izy, ry Egypta ô, Eny, tamin’ i Farao sy ny mpanompony rehetra,

He sent forth signs and wonders in the midst of thee, O Egypt: upon Pharao, and upon all his servants.

10 Dia Ilay namely ny jentilisa maro Ka nahafaty mpanjaka mahery,

He smote many nations, and slew mighty kings:

11 Dia Sihona, mpanjakan’ ny Amorita, Sy Oga, mpanjakan’ i Basana, Ary ny fanjakan’ i Kanana rehetra;

Sehon king of the Amorrhites, and Og king of Basan, and all the kingdoms of Chanaan.

12 Ary ny taniny nomeny ho lova, Eny, ho lovan’ ny Isiraely olony.

And gave their land for an inheritance, for an inheritance to his people Israel.

13 Jehovah ô, mandrakizay ny anaranao; Jehovah ô, hihatra amin’ ny taranaka fara mandimby ny fahatsiarovana Anao.

Thy name, O Lord, is for ever: thy memorial, O Lord, unto all generations.

For the Lord will judge his people, and will be entreated in favour of his servants.

The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, the works of men’s hands.

16 Manam-bava izy, fa tsy miteny; Mana-maso izy, fa tsy mahita;

They have a mouth, but they speak not: they have eyes, but they see not.

17 Manan-tsofina izy, fa tsy mandre; Ary tsy misy fofonaina ao am-bavany.

They have ears, but they hear not: neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18 Ho tahaka azy izay manao azy Sy izay rehetra matoky azy.

Let them that make them be like to them: and every one that trusteth in them.

19 Misaora an’ i Jehovah, ry taranak’ Isiraely; Misaora an’ i Jehovah, ry taranak’ i Arona;

Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: bless the Lord, O house of Aaron.

20 Misaora an’ i Jehovah, ry taranak’ i Levy; Hianareo izay matahotra an’ i Jehovah, misaora an’ i Jehovah.

Bless the Lord, O house of Levi: you that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.

21 Isaorana avy any Ziona anie Jehovah, Izay mitoetra any Jerosalema. Haleloia.

Blessed be the Lord out of Sion, who dwelleth in Jerusalem.
