1 Fihirana fiakarana.

A Song of Ascents. I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come?

2 Ny famonjena ahy dia avy amin’ i Jehovah, Mpanao ny lanitra sy ny tany.

My help [cometh] from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

3 Tsy mba havelany hangozohozo anie ny tongotrao; Tsy ho rendrehana anie ny Mpiaro anao.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Indro, tsy matory na rendrehana Ny Mpiaro ny Isiraely.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 Jehovah no Mpiaro anao; Jehovah no fialofanao eo amin’ ny an-kavananao.

The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 Ny masoandro tsy mba hamely anao nony andro, Na ny volana nony alina.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 Jehovah hiaro anao amin’ ny ratsy rehetra; Eny, hiaro ny fanahinao Izy.

The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; he shall keep thy soul.

8 Jehovah hiaro anao, na mivoaka na miditra, Hatramin’ izao ka ho mandrakizay.

The LORD shall keep thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for evermore.
