1 Izaho tia an’ i Jehovah, satria efa nandre Ny feon’ ny fifonako Izy.

It is lovely to me that the Lord heareth my voice, my supplications.

2 Satria efa nanongilana ny sofiny tamiko Izy, Dia hiantso aho, raha mbola velona koa.

For he hath inclined his ear unto me: therefore throughout all my days will I call on him.

3 Nihodidina tamiko ny famatoran’ ny fahafatesana, Ary nahazo ahy ny fahorian’ ny fiainan-tsi-hita; Nahita fahoriana sy alahelo aho. (Sheol h7585)

The bands of death had compassed me, and the pangs of the nether world had overtaken me; I had met with distress and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)

4 Dia niantso ny anaran’ i Jehovah hoe aho: Jehovah ô, mifona aminao aho, vonjeo ny fanahiko.

I then called on the name of the Lord, I beseech thee, O Lord, release my soul.

5 Mamindra fo sy marina Jehovah Eny, miantra Andriamanitsika.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; and our God is merciful.

6 Miaro ny kely saina Jehovah; Reraka aho, dia namonjy ahy Izy.

The Lord preserveth the simple: I was in misery, and he helped me.

7 Miverena ho amin’ ny fitsaharanao, ry fanahiko, Fa Jehovah efa nanisy soa anao,

Return, O my soul, unto thy rest; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 Dia namonjy ny fanahiko tamin’ ny fahafatesana Hianao Sy ny masoko tamin’ ny ranomaso Ary ny tongotro tamin’ ny fahatafintohinana.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.

9 Handeha eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah Eo amin’ ny tanin’ ny velona aho.

I will walk before the Lord in the land of life.

10 Nino aho; hiteny tokoa aho; Mahantra indrindra aho.

I believe, therefore will I speak: I was greatly afflicted;

11 Hoy izaho tamin’ ny fahatairako; Mpandainga ny olona rehetra.

I indeed said in my despondency, Every man is a liar.

12 Inona no havaliko an’ i Jehovah Noho ny soa rehetra nataony tamiko?

What shall I give in return unto the Lord for all his bounties toward me?

13 Handray ny kapoaky ny famonjena aho Ka hiantso ny anaran’ i Jehovah.

The cup of salvation will I lift up, and on the name of the Lord will I call.

14 Hanefa ny voadiko amin’ i Jehovah aho. Eny, eo anatrehan’ ny olony rehetra.

My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people.

15 Zava-dehibe eo imason’ i Jehovah Ny fahafatesan’ ny olony masìna.

Grievous in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his pious ones.

16 Indrisy! Jehovah ô, mpanomponao tokoa aho, Eny, mpanomponao sady zanaky ny ankizivavinao; Namaha ny fatorako Hianao.

O Lord, truly am I thy servant, I am thy servant, —the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosened my fetters.

17 Hianao no haterako fanati-pisaorana, Ary ny anaran’ i Jehovah no hantsoiko.

Unto thee will I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and on the name of the Lord will I call.

18 Hanefa ny voadiko amin’ i Jehovah aho, Eny, eo anatrehan’ ny olony rehetra,

My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people,

19 Dia eo an-kianjan’ ny tranon’ i Jehovah, Eo afovoanao, ry Jerosalema ô. Haleloia.

In the courts of the house of the Lord, in thy midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
