< Salamo 115 >

1 Jehovah ô, aza izahay, aza izahay no omena voninahitra, Fa ny anaranao ihany, Noho ny famindram-ponao sy ny fahamarinanao.
Not unto us, O Yahweh, not unto us, —but, unto thine own Name, give glory, concerning thy lovingkindness, concerning thy faithfulness.
2 Nahoana ny jentilisa no manao hoe: Aiza izay Andriamaniny?
Wherefore should the nations say, Pray where is their God?
3 Nefa any an-danitra Andriamanitsika; Efa nanao izay sitrapony rehetra Izy.
When, our God, is in the heavens, Whatsoever he pleased, hath he done.
4 Volafotsy sy volamena ny sampin’ ireny, Asan’ ny tanan’ olona:
Their idols, are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men, —
5 Manam-bava izy, fa tsy miteny; Mana-maso izy, fa tsy mahita;
A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;
6 Manan-tsofina izy, fa tsy mandre; Manana orona izy, fa tsy manimbolo:
Ears, have they, but they hear not, A nose, have they, but they smell not:
7 Manan-tanana izy, fa tsy mandray; Manan-tongotra izy, fa tsy mandeha; Ary tsy mahaloa-peo ny tendany.
Their hands! but they feel not Their feet! but they walk not, No sound make they in their throat.
8 Ho tahaka azy izay manao azy Sy izay rehetra matoky azy.
Like unto them, shall be they who make them, Every one who trusteth in them.
9 Ry Isiraely ô, matokia an’ i Jehovah; Heriny sy ampingany Izy.
O Israel! trust thou in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
10 Ry taranak’ i Arona ô, matokia an’ i Jehovah; Heriny sy ampingany Izy.
O house of Aaron! trust ye in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
11 Hianareo izay matahotra an’ i Jehovah, matokia an’ i Jehovah; Heriny sy ampingany Izy.
Ye that revere Yahweh! trust in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
12 Jehovah mahatsiaro ka mitahy antsika; Hitahy ny taranak’ i Isiraely Izy; Hitahy ny taranak’ i Arona Izy;
Yahweh, hath remembered us, he will bless—He will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron;
13 Hotahiny izay matahotra an’ i Jehovah, Na ny kely na ny lehibe.
He will bless them who revere Yahweh, the small with the great.
14 Jehovah anie hampitombo anareo, Dia ianareo mbamin’ ny zanakareo.
Yahweh multiply you, You, and your children.
15 Hitahy anareo anie Jehovah, Mpanao ny lanitra sy ny tany.
Blessed are ye of Yahweh, who made the heavens and the earth:
16 Ny lanitra dia an’ i Jehovah: fa ny tany nomeny ho an’ ny zanak’ olombelona.
As for the heavens, the heavens, belong to Yahweh, but the earth, hath he given to the sons of men.
17 Ny maty tsy mba hidera an’ i Jehovah. Na izay midìna any amin’ ny mangingina;
The dead, cannot praise Yah, nor any that go down into silence;
18 Fa izahay hisaotra an’ i Jehovah Hatramin’ izao ka ho mandrakizay. Haleloia.
But, we, will bless Yah, from henceforth even unto times age-abiding. Praise ye Yah.
