Salamo 107
1 Miderà an’ i Jehovah, fa tsara Fa mandrakizay ny famindram-pony.
O give praise to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
2 Aoka hanao izany ny navotan’ i Jehovah, Dia izay navotany ho afaka tamin’ ny tanan’ ny fahavalo,
Let those whose cause the Lord has taken up say so, his people whom he has taken out of the hands of their haters;
3 Sy nangoniny avy tany amin’ ny tany maro, Dia avy tany atsinanana sy andrefana ary tany avaratra sy tany amin’ ny ranomasina.
Making them come together out of all the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
4 Nirenireny tany an-efitra ireny ka nanavatsava tany an-tany foana, Ary tsy nahita tanàna honenana.
They were wandering in the waste places; they saw no way to a resting-place.
5 Noana sy nangetaheta izy, Sady reraka ny ainy tao anatiny,
Their souls became feeble for need of food and drink.
6 Dia nitaraina tamin’ i Jehovah ireo, raha ory, Ka novonjeny tamin’ ny fahatereny;
Then they sent up their cry to the Lord in their sorrow, and he gave them salvation out of all their troubles;
7 Dia nitondra azy tamin’ ny lalana mahitsy Izy, Mba hankanesany any amin’ izay tanàna honenana.
Guiding them in the right way, so that they might come into the town of their resting-place.
8 Aoka hidera an’ i Jehovah ireo noho ny famindram-pony Sy ny fahagagana ataony amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona!
Let men give praise to the Lord for his mercy, and for the wonders which he does for the children of men!
9 Fa mahafa-po ny fanahy mangetaheta Izy, Ary ny fanahy noana dia vokisany soa.
He gives its desire to the unresting soul, so that it is full of good things.
10 Izay nipetraka tao amin’ ny maizina sy ny aloky ny fahafatesana, Voafato-pahoriana sy vy,
Those who were in the dark, in the black night, in chains of sorrow and iron;
11 Satria nandà ny tenin’ Andriamanitra Sady naniratsira ny anatry ny Avo Indrindra;
Because they went against the words of God, and gave no thought to the laws of the Most High:
12 Dia nampietreny tamin’ ny fahoriana ny fony; Ka potraka izy, nefa tsy nisy hamonjy;
So that he made their hearts weighted down with grief; they were falling, and had no helper.
13 Dia nitaraina tamin’ i Jehovah ireo, raha ory, Ka novonjeny tamin’ ny fahatereny.
Then they sent up their cry to the Lord in their sorrow, and he gave them salvation out of all their troubles.
14 Nitondra azy nivoaka avy tao amin’ ny maizina sy ny aloky ny fahafatesana Izy, Ary notosany ny fatorany.
He took them out of the dark and the black night, and all their chains were broken.
15 Aoka hidera an’ i Jehovah ireo noho ny famindram-pony Sy ny fahagagana ataony amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona!
Let men give praise to the Lord for his mercy, and for the wonders which he does for the children of men!
16 Fa nanorotoro ny varavarana varahina Izy, Ary ny hidy vy nohenteriny.
The doors of brass are broken by his arm, and the bands of iron are cut in two.
17 Mitondra fahoriana ny adala noho ny fahadisoany sy ny helony:
Foolish men, because of their sins, and because of their wrongdoing, are troubled;
18 Nahamonamonaina azy ny hanina rehetra; Ary nanakaiky ny vavahadin’ ny fahafatesana izy.
They are disgusted by all food, and they come near to the doors of death.
19 Dia nitaraina tamin’ i Jehovah ireo, raha ory, Ka novonjeny tamin’ ny fahatereny.
Then they send up their cry to the Lord in their sorrow, and he gives them salvation out of all their troubles.
20 Nandefa ny teniny Izy mba hahasitrana azy Ary nanafaka azy tamin’ ny longoa nianjerany.
He sent his word and made them well, and kept them safe from the underworld.
21 Aoka hidera an’ i Jehovah ireo noho ny famindram-pony Sy ny fahagagana ataony amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona!
Let men give praise to the Lord for his mercy, and for the wonders which he does for the children of men!
22 Ary aoka hanatitra fanati-pisaorana izy Sy hilaza ny asany amin’ ny fihobiana.
Let them make offerings of praise, giving news of his works with cries of joy.
23 Izay midìna any an-dranomasina ka mandeha an-tsambo Sy manao raharaha any amin’ ny rano lehibe
Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in the great waters;
24 No mahita ny asan’ i Jehovah Sy ny fahagagana ataony amin’ ny rano lalina.
They see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
25 Fa niteny Izy ka nanangana rivotra mahery, Izay nampisondrotra ny onjan-drano;
For at his word comes up the storm-wind, lifting high the waves.
26 Niakatra hatramin’ ny lanitra ny olona, ary nidina hatramin’ ny lalina; Ny fanahiny levona noho ny fahoriana.
The sailors go up to heaven, and down into the deep; their souls are wasted because of their trouble.
27 Nisangodingodina ireo sady nivembena toy ny mamo, Ka dia very ny sainy rehetra.
They are turned here and there, rolling like a man who is full of wine; and all their wisdom comes to nothing.
28 Dia nitaraina tamin’ i Jehovah ireo, raha ory, Ka nampiala azy tamin’ ny fahatereny Izy.
Then they send up their cry to the Lord in their sorrow, and he gives them salvation out of all their troubles.
29 Nanony ny rivotra mahery Izy, Ka nitsahatra ny onjan-drano.
He makes the storm into a calm, so that the waves are at peace.
30 Dia faly ireo, satria nitsahatra izany; Ary nentiny ho amin’ ny fitodiana niriny izy.
Then they are glad, because the sea is quiet, and he takes them to the harbour of their desire.
31 Aoka hidera an’ i Jehovah ireo noho ny famindram-pony Sy ny fahagagana ataony amin’ ny zanak’ olombelona!
Let men give praise to the Lord for his mercy, and for the wonders which he does for the children of men!
32 Ary aoka hanandratra Azy eo amin’ ny fiangonan’ ny olona izy Ka hidera Azy eo amin’ ny fipetrahan’ ny loholona.
Let them give glory to him in the meeting of the people, and praise among the chiefs.
33 Mampody ny ony ho efitra Izy Ary ny loharano ho tany mangentana,
He makes rivers into waste places, and springs of water into a dry land;
34 Ny tany mahavokatra ho tanin-tsira, Noho ny faharatsian’ ny mponina eo.
He makes a fertile country into a salt waste, because of the sins of those who are living there.
35 Mampody ny efitra ho rano monina Izy Sy ny tany maina ho loharano,
He makes a waste land into a place of water, and a dry land into water-springs.
36 Ary amponeniny eo izay noana, Mba hanamboatra tanana honenana;
And there he gives the poor a resting-place, so that they may make themselves a town;
37 Ary hamafy eny an-tsaha izy Sady hanao tanim-boaloboka Ka hahazo vokatra be.
And put seed in the fields and make vine-gardens, to give them fruit.
38 Dia mitahy azy Izy mba hitomboany betsaka, Ka tsy avelany hihavitsy ny biby fiompiny.
He gives them his blessing so that they are increased greatly, and their cattle do not become less.
39 Fa mihakely sy mietry indray izy Noho ny fampahoriana sy ny loza ary ny alahelo.
And when they are made low, and crushed by trouble and sorrow,
40 Mampidina fanamavoana amin’ ny mpanapaka Jehovah Ka mampirenireny azy any an-efitra tsy misy lalana;
He puts an end to the pride of kings, and sends them wandering in the waste lands where there is no way.
41 Fa manandratra ny malahelo ho afa-pahoriana kosa Izy, Ka mahamaro mianakavy azy toy ny ondry andiany.
But he puts the poor man on high from his troubles, and gives him families like a flock.
42 Hahita izany ny marina ka ho faly; Fa hihombom-bava kosa ny ratsy fanahy rehetra.
The upright see it and are glad: the mouth of the sinner is stopped.
43 Izay hendry dia aoka hahafantatra izany Ka hahalala ny famindram-pon’ i Jehovah.
Let the wise give thought to these things, and see the mercies of the Lord.
