< Ohabolana 11 >

1 Ny mizana mandainga dia fahavetavetana eo imason’ i Jehovah; Fa ny vato marina no ankasitrahany.
A deceitful scale is an abomination with the Lord, and a fair weighing is his will.
2 Raha tonga ny fiavonavonana, dia tonga koa ny fahafaham-baraka; Fa ao amin’ ny manetry tena no misy fahendrena.
Wherever arrogance may be, there too is insult. But wherever humility is, there too is wisdom.
3 Ny fahitsian’ ny mahitsy no mitarika azy; Fa ny faharatsian’ ny mpivadika mahatonga fandringanana amin’ ny tenany.
The simplicity of the just shall direct them, and the rebellion of the perverse will devastate them.
4 Ny harena dia tsy mahasoa amin’ ny andro fahatezerana; Fa ny fahamarinana no mamonjy tsy ho azon’ ny fahafatesana.
Wealth will not profit in the day of vengeance. But justice shall liberate from death.
5 Ny fahamarinan’ ny marina mandamina ny alehany; Fa ny ratsy fanahy lavon’ ny haratsiany ihany.
The justice of the simple shall direct his way. And the impious will fall in his impiety.
6 Ny fahamarinan’ ny mahitsy mamonjy azy; Fa ny mpivadika dia voafandriky ny filàny.
The justice of the upright shall free them. And the iniquitous will be seized by their own treachery.
7 Raha maty ny ratsy fanahy, dia foana ny fanantenany, Eny, foana ny fanantenan’ ny mpanao ratsy.
When the impious man is dead, there will no longer be any hope. And the expectation of the anxious will perish.
8 Ny marina dia vonjena amin’ ny fahoriana; Fa ho avy kosa ny ratsy fanahy hisolo azy.
The just one is freed from anguish. And the impious one will be handed over instead of him.
9 Ny vavan’ ny mpihatsaravelatsihy no animbany ny namany; Fa ny fahalalana no hanafahana ny marina.
The pretender deceives his friend by mouth. But the just shall be freed by knowledge.
10 Raha miadana ny marina, dia ravoravo ny tanàna; Fa raha ringana ny ratsy fanahy, dia velona ny hoby.
In the good of the just, the city shall exult. And in the perdition of the impious, there shall be praise.
11 Ny fisaoran’ ny marina no isandratan’ ny tanàna; Fa ny vavan’ ny ratsy fanahy no aharavany.
By the blessing of the just, the city shall be exalted. And by the mouth of the impious, it will be subverted.
12 Tsy ampy saina izay manamavo ny namany; Fa izay hendry dia mangìna.
Whoever despises his friend is destitute in heart. But the prudent man will remain silent.
13 Izay mandehandeha manaratsy dia manambara ny hevitra afenina; Fa ny olona mahatoky tsy mba tia lazalaza.
Whoever walks dishonestly reveals secrets. But whoever is of a faithful soul conceals what is confided by a friend.
14 Raha tsy misy mpitondra, dia rava ny firenena; Fa handry fahizay, raha maro ny mpanolo-tsaina.
Where there is no governor, the people shall fall. But where there is much counsel, well-being shall be.
15 Hahita loza tokoa ny mianto-bahiny: Fa mitoetra tsy manana ahiahy ny tsy tia antoka.
He will be afflicted with evil, who provides a guarantee for an outsider. But whoever is wary of traps shall be secure.
16 Ny vehivavy tsara tarehy mahazo dera; Ary ny mpanao an-keriny mahazo harena.
A gracious woman shall discover glory. And the robust will have wealth.
17 Ny olona mamindra fo dia mahazo soa ho an’ ny tenany; Fa ny lozabe dia todin’ ny halozany.
A merciful man benefits his own soul. But whoever is cruel casts out even his close relatives.
18 Ny ratsy fanahy dia mahazo valiny tsy mahasoa; Fa izay mamafy fahamarinana no mahazo izay tena tambiny tokoa.
The impious does work with inconstancy. But for the sower of justice, there is the reward of faithfulness.
19 Ny tena fahamarinana dia mamantana any amin’ ny fiainana; Fa izay fatra-panaraka ny ratsy dia iharan’ ny fahafatesana.
Clemency prepares life. And the pursuit of evils prepares death.
20 Fahavetavetana eo imason’ i Jehovah ny meloka am-po; Fa ankasitrahany kosa izay mandeha tsy misy tsiny.
A depraved heart is abominable to the Lord. And his will is with those who walk in simplicity.
21 Azo itompoana tokoa fa tsy maintsy hampijalina ny ratsy fanahy; Fa ny taranaky ny marina no hovonjena.
Hand in hand, the evil shall not be innocent. But the offspring of the just shall be saved.
22 Toy ny kavim-bolamena eo amin’ ny oron-kisoa Ny vehivavy tsara tarehy tsy manam-pahendrena.
A beautiful and senseless woman is like a gold ring in the snout of a swine.
23 Ny soa ihany no irin’ ny marina; Fa fahatezerana no fanantenan’ ny ratsy fanahy.
The desire of the just is entirely good. The anticipation of the impious is fury.
24 Misy mahafoy, nefa mitombo fananana ihany; Ary misy fatra-pahihitra loatra, nefa tonga malahelo ihany.
Some distribute their own goods, and they become wealthier. Others seize what is not their own, and they are always in need.
25 Izay manisy soa olona hohatavezina; Ary izay mandena dia mba holemana kosa.
The soul that blesses shall be made fat. And whoever inebriates will likewise be inebriated himself.
26 Izay tsy mamoaka ny variny dia ozonin’ ny olona; Fa saotra no ho amin’ ny lohan’ izay mivarotra.
Whoever hides away grain shall be cursed among the people. But a blessing is upon the head of those who sell it.
27 Izay fatra-pikatsaka ny tsara no mitady ny mahafinaritra; Fa izay mitady ny ratsy dia hiharan’ izany.
He does well to rise early, who seeks what is good. But whoever is a seeker of evils shall be oppressed by them.
28 Izay matoky ny hareny dia ho lavo; Fa ny marina ho tahaka ny ravina maitso.
Whoever trusts in his riches will fall. But the just shall spring up like a green leaf.
29 Izay mampidi-doza amin’ ny ankohonany dia mandova ny rivotra; Ary ny adala dia tonga mpanompon’ ny hendry.
Whoever troubles his own house will possess the winds. And whoever is foolish will serve the wise.
30 Ny vokatry ny marina dia hazon’ aina, Ary ny hendry dia mahataona olona.
The fruit of the just one is the tree of life. And whoever receives souls is wise.
31 Indro, ny marina aza dia valiana etỳ an-tany, Koa mainka fa ny ratsy fanahy sy ny mpanota!
If the just are repaid upon the earth, how much more the impious and the sinner!
