1 Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy sy Arona ka nanao hoe:
And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2 Alao isa ny taranak’ i Kehata eo amin’ ny taranak’ i Levy, araka ny fokony sy ny fianakaviany,
Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, according to their fathers' houses,
3 hatramin’ ny telo-polo taona ka hatramin’ ny dimam-polo taona, dia izay rehetra miditra amin’ ny antokony hanao raharaha ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana.
from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, all that enter into the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.
4 Izao no ho fanompoan’ ny taranak’ i Kehata ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana, dia ny zavatra masìna indrindra:
This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting: it is most holy.
5 Ary raha hifindra ny toby, dia hiditra Arona sy ny zanany ka hampidina ny efitra lamba fanakonana; ary hasarony ny fiaran’ ny Vavolombelona’ izany;
And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron and his sons shall go in, and they shall take down the veil of separation and cover the ark of testimony with it;
6 ary hodi-takasy no hataony sarona eo amboniny, ka lamba volon’ ondry manga tokam-bolo no hovelariny hasarony eo ambonin’ io, dia hataony eo aminy ny baony.
and shall put thereon a covering of badgers' skin, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put its staves [to it].
7 Ary hamelatra lamba, volon’ ondry manga eo ambonin’ ny latabatry ny mofo aseho izy, ka hataony eo ny lovia sy ny lovia kely sy ny kapoaka ary ny fitoeran-divay ho fanidinana; ary ny mofo aseho dia hataony eo amboniny.
And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue; and put thereon the dishes, and the cups, and the bowls, and goblets of the drink-offering; and the continual bread shall be thereon.
8 Dia hovelarany lamba jaky eo amboniny izy, ka hosaronany amin’ ny sarona hodi-takasy izany; dia hataony eo aminy ny baony.
And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skin, and shall put its staves [to it].
9 Dia haka lamba volon’ ondry manga izy, ka hasarony ny fanaovan-jiro fanazavana sy ny lela fanaovan-jirony sy ny hetin-jirony sy ny fitoeran-davenon-jirony ary ny fitoeran-diloilo rehetra eo, izay anaovana ny fanompoam-pivavahana;
And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff-trays, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they perform its service;
10 ary ireo sy ny fanaka rehetra momba azy dia hataony ao anatin’ ny sarona hodi-takasy ka hatainginy eo ambonin’ ny filanjana azy.
and they shall put it and all the utensils thereof within a covering of badgers' skin, and shall put it upon a pole.
11 Ary hamelatra lamba manga eo ambonin’ ny alitara volamena izy, dia hosaronany sarona hodi-takasy, ary hataony eo aminy ny baony;
And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skin, and shall put its staves [to it].
12 dia halainy ny fanaka rehetra enti-manompo, dia izay fanaovany fanompoam-pivavahana ao amin’ ny fitoerana masìna, ka hataony ao anaty lamba volon’ ondry manga ka hosaronany sarona hodi-takasy, dia hatainginy eo ambonin’ ny filanjana azy.
And they shall take all the instruments of service, wherewith they serve in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skin, and shall put them upon a pole.
13 Dia hanaisotra ny lavenona amin’ ny alitara izy ka hamelatra lamba volomparasy eo amboniny.
And they shall cleanse the altar of the ashes, and spread a purple cloth thereon;
14 Ary hapetrany eo amboniny avokoa ny fanaka rehetra momba azy, izay fanaovana fanompoan-pivavahana eo, dia ny fitondran’ afony sy ny fitrebiny sy ny sotron’ afony ary ny loviany famafazana, dia ny fanaka rehetra momba ny alitara; ary hovelarany sarona hodi-takasy eo amboniny izy, dia hataony eo aminy ny baony.
and they shall put upon it all the utensils thereof, wherewith they perform service about it: the firepans, the forks, and the shovels, and the bowls, — all the utensils of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skin, and put its staves [to it].
15 Ary rehefa vitan’ i Arona sy ny zanany ny manarona ny fitoerana masìna sy ny fanaka rehetra momba azy, ka efa hifindra ny toby, dia vao izay no ho avy ny zanak’ i Kehata hitondra azy; fa tsy hikasika ny fitoerana masìna izy, fandrao maty. Izany zavatra momba ny trano-lay fihaonana izany no ho anjara entan’ ny taranak’ i Kehata.
And when Aaron and his sons have ended covering the sanctuary, and all the utensils of the sanctuary, when the camp setteth forward, then afterwards the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it; but they shall not touch the holy things, lest they die. This is what the sons of Kohath have to carry in the tent of meeting.
16 Ary ny raharahan’ i Eleazara, zanak’ i Arona mpisorona, dia ny diloilo hatao fanazavana sy ny ditin-kazo mani-pofona sy ny fanatitra hohanina fanao isan’ andro ary ny diloilo fanosorana, dia ny raharaha rehetra amin’ ny tabernakely sy izay rehetra ao anatiny amin’ ny fitoerana masìna sy ny fanaka momba azy.
And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall have the oversight of the oil for the light, and the fragrant incense, and the continual oblation, and the anointing oil, — the oversight of the whole tabernacle, and of all that is therein, over the sanctuary, and over its furniture.
17 Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy sy Arona ka nanao hoe:
And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
18 Ataovy izay tsy hahafongotra ny fokon’ ny Kehatita tsy ho amin’ ny Levita:
Ye shall not cut off the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites,
19 fa izao no hataonareo aminy, mba ho velona izy ka tsy ho faty, raha manatona ny zavatra masìna indrindra: Arona ny ny zanany ihany no hahazo miditra ka hanendry azy rehetra samy ho amin’ ny fanompoany avy sy amin’ ny entany avy;
but this shall ye do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they draw near unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden;
20 fa izy dia tsy hiditra hijery ny fitoerana masìna, na dia indray mipi-maso akory aza, fandrao maty.
but they shall not go in and see for a moment the holy things, lest they die.
21 Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
22 Alao isa koa ny taranak’ i Gersona, araka ny fianakaviany sy ny fokony avy;
Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, according to their fathers' houses, after their families.
23 ny hatramin’ ny telo-polo taona ka hatramin’ ny dimam-polo taona no halaminao, dia izay rehetra miditra amin’ ny antokony hanao fanompoana ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana.
From thirty years old and upward to fifty years old shalt thou number them; every one that cometh to labour in the work, to perform the service in the tent of meeting.
24 Izao no ho fanompoan’ ny fokon’ ny Gersonita hanompoany sy hitondrany entana:
This shall be the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving, and in carrying:
25 ny ambain’ ny tabernakely sy ny trano-lay fihaonana sy ny firakony sy ny sarona hodi-takasy izay eo amboniny, ary ny varavarana lamba amin’ ny varavaran’ ny trano-lay fihaonana,
they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tent of meeting, its covering, and the covering of badgers' skin that is above upon it, and the curtain of the entrance to the tent of meeting,
26 ary ny fefy lamban’ ny kianja sy ny vavahady lamba amin’ ny vavahadin’ ny kianja, izay manodidina ny tabernakely sy ny alitara, ary ny kofehiny mbamin’ ny fiasana rehetra momba azy; ary izay rehetra hatao amin’ ireo no ho fanompoany.
and the hangings of the court, and the curtain of the entrance, of the gate of the court, which surroundeth the tabernacle and the altar, and the cords thereof, and all the instruments of their service; and all that is to be done for these things shall they perform.
27 Araka ny tenin’ i Arona sy ny zanany no hanaovan’ ny Gersonita ny fanompoany amin’ ny entany rehetra sy ny fanompoany rehetra; ary hatolotrao azy ho anjara-raharahany ny zavatra rehetra izay ho entiny.
At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their carrying, and in all their service; and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their carrying.
28 Izany no ho fanompoan’ ny fokon’ ny Gersonita ny amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana; ary ny ho mpifehy azy amin’ izany anjara-raharahany izany dia Itamara, zanak’ i Arona mpisorona.
This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting, and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29 Ny amin’ ny taranak’ i Merary, dia araka ny fokony sy ny fianakaviany no handaminanao azy;
The sons of Merari: after their families, according to their fathers' houses shalt thou number them;
30 ny hatramin’ ny telo-polo taona ka hatramin’ ny dimam-polo taona no halaminao, dia izay rehetra miditra amin’ ny antokony hanao ny fanompoana momba ny trano-lay fihaonana.
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the labour, to perform the service of the tent of meeting.
31 Ary izao no ho anjara-raharahany ny amin’ ny entana araka ny fanompoany rehetra ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana: ny zana-kazo amin’ ny tabernakely sy ny barany sy ny andriny sy ny faladiany,
And this shall be the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tent of meeting: the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and bases thereof,
32 sy ny tsangantsangan’ ny kianja manodidina sy ny faladiany sy ny tsimany rehetra ary ny kofehy momba ny fiasana rehetra sy ny zavatra rehetra enti-manao fanompoana ao; ary araka ny anarany avy no handaminanareo ny fanaka izay anjarany ho entina.
and the pillars of the court round about, and their bases, and their pegs, and their cords, all their instruments, according to all their service; and by name ye shall number to them the materials which are their charge to carry.
33 Izany no ho fanompoan’ ny fokon’ ny taranak’ i Merary, araka ny fanompoany rehetra ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana, ary Itamara, zanak’ i Arona mpisorona, no ho mpifehy azy.
This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the tent of meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
34 Ary Mosesy sy Arona ary ny lohan’ ny fiangonana nandamina ny taranaky ny Kehatita, araka ny fokony sy ny fianakaviany avy,
And Moses and Aaron and the princes of the assembly numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and according to their fathers' houses,
35 hatramin’ ny telo-polo taona ka hatramin’ ny dimam-polo taona, dia izay rehetra niditra tamin’ ny antokony hanao fanompoana ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana.
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that entered into the labour, for service in the tent of meeting.
36 Ary izay nalamina taminy, araka ny fokony, dia dimam-polo amby fiton-jato sy roa arivo.
And those that were numbered of them according to their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37 Ireo no nalamina tamin’ ny fokon’ ny Kehatita, dia izay rehetra manao fanompoana ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana, izay nalamin’ i Mosesy sy Arona araka ny didin’ i Jehovah nampitondrainy an’ i Mosesy.
These are they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, every one that served in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah through Moses.
38 Ary izay nalamina tamin’ ny taranak’ i Gersona, araka ny fokony sy ny fianakaviany,
And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, after their families, and according to their fathers' houses,
39 hatramin’ ny telo-polo taona ka hatramin’ ny dimam-polo taona, dia izay rehetra niditra amin’ ny antokony hanao fanompoana ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that entered into the labour, for service in the tent of meeting,
40 izay nalamina taminy, araka ny fokony sy ny fianakaviany, dia telo-polo amby enin-jato sy roa arivo.
even those that were numbered of them, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, were two thousand six hundred and thirty.
41 Ireo no nalamina tamin’ ny fokon’ ny taranak’ i Gersona, izay rehetra manao fanompoana ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana, dia izay nalamin’ i Mosesy sy Arona araka ny didin’ i Jehovah.
These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, all that served in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah.
42 Ary izay nalamina tamin’ ny fokon’ ny taranak’ i Merary, araka ny fokony sy ny fianakaviany
And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, after their families, according to their fathers' houses,
43 hatramin’ ny telo-polo taona ka hatramin’ ny dimam-polo taona, dia izay rehetra niditra tamin’ ny antokony, hanao fanompoana ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana,
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that entered into the labour, for service in the tent of meeting,
44 izay nalamina taminy, araka ny fokony, dia roan-jato sy telo arivo;
even those that were numbered of them according to their families, were three thousand two hundred.
45 ireo no nalamina tamin’ ny fokon’ ny taranak’ i Merary, izay nalamin’ i Mosesy sy Arona araka ny didin’ i Jehovah izay nampitondrainy an’ i Mosesy.
These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah through Moses.
46 Ny tontalin’ ny taranak’ i Levy izay nalamin’ i Mosesy sy Arona mbamin’ ny lohan’ ny Isiraely, araka ny fokony sy ny fianakaviany
All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel numbered, after their families and according to their fathers' houses,
47 hatramin’ ny telo-polo taona ka hatramin’ ny dimam-polo taona, dia izay rehetra niditra hanao raharaha amin’ ny fanompoana sy ny fitondrana entana ao amin’ ny trano-lay fihaonana,
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that came to serve [in] the work of the service, and [in] the work of carrying, in the tent of meeting,
48 izay nalamina taminy dia valo-polo amby diman-jato sy valo arivo.
even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand five hundred and eighty.
49 Araka ny didin’ i Jehovah izay nampitondrainy an’ i Mosesy no nandaminany azy samy ho amin’ ny fanompoany avy sy ny anjara-entany avy ary ny zavatra nalamina araka izay nandidian’ i Jehovah an’ i Mosesy.
According to the commandment of Jehovah they were numbered by Moses, every one for his service, and for his burden, and numbered by him, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
