1 Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:

And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,

2 Mandidia ny Zanak’ Isiraely hoe: Raha tonga any amin’ ny tany Kanana ianareo, dia izao no tany izay ho azonareo ho lova, dia ny tany Kanana araka izay fari-taniny.

“Command the sons of Israel, and you have said to them: When you are coming into the land of Canaan—this [is] the land which falls to you by inheritance, the land of Canaan, by its borders—

3 Ary ny lafiny atsimo amin’ ny taninareo dia hatramin’ ny efitra Zina, izay mifanolotra amin’ i Edoma. Ary ny fari-taninareo atsimo dia hatramin’ ny faran’ ny Ranomasin-tsira any atsinanana,

then the south quarter has been to you from the wilderness of Zin, by the sides of Edom, indeed, the south border has been to you from the extremity of the Salt Sea eastward;

4 dia miolaka eo atsimon’ ny fiakarana Akrabima, dia mandroso hatrany Zina, dia mahazo any atsimon’ i Kadesibarnea, dia mahazo an’ i Hazar-adara ka mandroso hatrany Azmona,

and the border has turned around to you from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and has passed on to Zin, and its outgoings have been from the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and it has gone out at Hazar-Addar, and has passed on to Azmon;

5 ary miolaka hatrany Azmona ka hatramin’ ny lohasahan-driak’ i Egypta, ka dia mihatra amin’ ny ranomasina.

and the border has turned around from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its outgoings have been at the sea.

6 Ary ny amin’ ny fari-tany andrefana, dia indro ny Ranomasina Lehibe sy ny amorony, ka hatreo no ho fari-taninareo andrefana.

As for the west border, even the Great Sea has been a border to you; this is the west border to you.

7 Ary izao no ho fari-taninareo avaratra: hatramin’ ny Ranomasina Lehibe dia aoka ny tendrombohitra Hora no hotandrifinareo;

And this is the north border to you: from the Great Sea you mark out for yourselves Mount Hor;

8 ary hatramin’ ny tendrombohitra Hora dia aoka ny lalana mankany Hamata no hotandrifinareo, ary aoka ny fari-tany hahazo an’ i Zedada,

from Mount Hor you mark out to go to Hamath, and the outgoings of the border have been to Zedad;

9 dia hahazo an’ i Zifrona, ka dia hihatra an’ i Hazar-enana; izany no ho faritaninareo avaratra.

and the border has gone out to Ziphron, and its outgoings have been at Hazar-Enan; this is the north border to you.

10 Ary ny ho fari-taninareo atsinanana dia ampifanitsio amin’ i Hazar-enana ka hatrany Sefama,

And you have marked out for yourselves for the border eastward, from Hazar-Enan to Shepham;

11 dia hidina hatrany Sefama ka hatrany Ribla any atsinanan’ i Aina, dia mbola hidina ihany koa ka hipaka amin’ ny Ranomasin’ i Kinereta atsinanana,

and the border has gone down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east of Ain, and the border has gone down, and has struck against the shoulder of the Sea of Chinnereth eastward;

12 dia hidina ihany indray hatrany Jordana, ka dia hihatra amin’ ny Ranomasin-tsira. Izany no ho taninareo araka ny fari-taniny manodidina.

and the border has gone down to the Jordan, and its outgoings have been at the Salt Sea; this is the land for you by its borders all around.”

13 Ary Mosesy nandidy ny Zanak’ Isiraely ka nanao hoe: Izany no tany izay hozarainareo araka ny filokana, dia izay andidian’ i Jehovah homena ny firenena sivy sy sasany;

And Moses commands the sons of Israel, saying, “This [is] the land which you inherit by lot, which YHWH has commanded to give to the nine tribes and the half of the tribe;

14 fa ny firenena taranak’ i Robena araka ny fianakaviany sy ny firenena taranak’ i Gada araka ny fianakaviany dia efa nandray ny zara-taniny, ary ny antsasaky ny firenen’ i Manase koa dia efa nandray ny zara-taniny;

for the tribe of the sons of Reuben, by the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad, by the house of their fathers, have received [their inheritance]; and [those of] the half of the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance;

15 dia ny firenena roa sy sasany samy efa nandray ny zara-taniny atỳ an-dafy atsinanan’ i Jordana, hitsin’ i Jeriko, tandrifin’ ny fiposahan’ ny masoandro.

the two tribes and the half of the tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan, [near] Jericho, eastward, at the [sun]-rising.”

16 Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy ka nanao hoe:

And YHWH speaks to Moses, saying,

17 Izao no anaran’ ny lehilahy izay hizara ny tany ho anareo: Eleazara mpisorona sy Josoa, zanak’ i Nona.

“These [are] the names of the men who give the inheritance of the land to you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.

18 Ary loholona iray avy amin’ ny isam-pirenena koa no halainareo hizara ny tany.

And one prince—you take one prince from a tribe to give the land by inheritance.

19 Ary izao no anaran’ ireo lehilahy ireo: ny avy amin’ ny firenen’ i Joda dia Kaleba, zanak’ i Jefone;

And these [are] the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

20 ary ny avy amin’ ny firenena taranak’ i Simeona dia Semoela, zanak’ i Amihoda;

and of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Aminihud;

21 ary ny avy amin’ ny firenen’ i Benjamina dia Elidada, zanak’ i Kislona;

of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

22 ary ny lohan’ ny firenena taranak’ i Dana dia Boky, zanak’ i Jogly;

and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki son of Jogli;

23 ary ny avy amin’ ny taranak’ i Josefa: ny lohan’ ny firenena taranak’ i Manase dia Haniela, zanak’ i Efoda;

of the sons of Joseph, a prince of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, Hanniel son of Ephod;

24 ary ny lohan’ ny firenena taranak’ i Efraima dia Kemoela, zanak’ i Siftana;

and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, Kemuel son of Shiphtan;

25 ary ny lohan’ ny firenena taranak’ i Zebolona dia Elizafana, zanak’ i Parnaka;

and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, Elizaphan son of Parnach;

26 ary ny lohan’ ny firenena taranak’ Isakara dia Paltiela, zanak’ i Azana;

and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, Paltiel son of Azzan;

27 ary ny lohan’ ny firenena taranak’ i Asera dia Ahihoda, zanak’ i Selomy;

and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Asher, Ahihud son of Shelomi;

28 ary ny lohan’ ny firenena taranak’ i Naftaly dia Pedahela, zanak’ i Amihoda.

and a prince of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, Pedahel son of Ammihud.”

29 Ireo no nodidian’ i Jehovah hizara ny tany Kanana ho an’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely.

These [are] those whom YHWH has commanded to give the sons of Israel inheritance in the land of Canaan.
