Nehemia 7

And it came to pass, when the wall was built, that I set up the doors; and then were appointed the gatekeepers and the singers and the [other] Levites [to their office].

And I gave my brother Chanani, and Chananyah the commander of the fortress, charge over Jerusalem; for he was esteemed a faithful man, and one that feared God these many days.

And I said unto them, The gates of Jerusalem must not be opened until the sun be hot; and while ye stand by, let them shut the doors, and do ye bar them; and station watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one opposite to his house.

The children of Reayah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda.

61 Ary izao no niakatra avy tany Tela-mela sy Tela-harsa sy Kerofa sy Adona ary Imera (fa tsy nahalaza ny fianakaviany sy ny firazanany, na avy tamin’ ny Isiraely na tsia, izy):
And these were they who came up from Thel-melach, Thelcharsha, Kerub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not tell their family division and their descent, whether they were of Israel.

These sought for their family register, but it was not found: wherefore they were excluded, as unfit, from the priesthood.
65 Ary ny governora nilaza fa tsy mahazo mihinana ny zava-masìna indrindra izy mandra-pitsangan’ izay mpisorona anankiray mitondra ny Orima sy Tomima.
And the Thirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there should stand up a priest with the Urim and Thummim.
66 Ny tontalin’ ny olona rehetra dia enim-polo amby telon-jato amby roa arivo sy efatra alina,
The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and sixty:
67 afa-tsy ny ankizilahiny sy ny ankizivaviny fito amby telo-polo amby telon-jato sy fito arivo; ary nanana mpihiralahy sy mpihiravavy dimy amby efa-polo amby roan-jato izy;
Besides these were their man-servants and their maid-servants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred and forty and five singing men and singing women.
68 ny soavaliny dia enina amby telo-polo amby fiton-jato; ny ampondrany dia dimy amby efa-polo amby roan-jato;
Their horses were seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five;

[Their] camels, four hundred thirty and five: [their] asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
70 Ary ny sasany tamin’ ny lohan ny fianakaviana dia nahafoy hanaovana ny asa. Ny governora nanome darika volamena arivo sy lovia famafazana dimam-polo sy akanjo-mpisorona telo-polo amby dimam-jato ho ao amin’ ny rakitra.
And a portion of the chiefs of the divisions gave unto the work. The Thirshatha gave to the treasure, of gold one thousand drachms, fifty bowls, five hundred and thirty coats for the priests.
71 Ary ny sasany tamin’ ny lohan’ ny fianakaviana dia nanome darika volamena roa alina sy mane volafotsy roan-jato sy roa arivo ho ao amin’ ny rakitra hanaovana ny asa.
And some of the chiefs of the divisions gave to the treasury of the work, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand and two hundred manehs.
72 Ary izay nomen’ ny olona sisa dia darika volamena roa alina sy mane volafotsy roa arivo ary akanjo-mpisorona fito amby enim-polo.
And what the rest of the people gave was, of gold twenty thousand drachms, and of silver two thousand manehs, and priests coats sixty and seven.
73 Ary samy tafapetraka teny an-tanànany avy ny mpisorona sy ny Levita sy ny mpiandry varavarana sy ny mpihira sy ny sasany amin’ ny vahoaka ary ny Netinima, dia ny Isiraely rehetra.
So the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and some of the people, and the temple-servants, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities: and so came round the seventh month, while the children of Israel were in their cities.
