Mika 5

1 Koa mivory ho andiany ianao, ry zanakavavin’ ny andiany! Manao fahirano antsika izy, Mamely tsorakazo ny takolaky ny mpitsaran’ ny Isiraely izy.

Yet now gather yourselves in troops, O people of troops! They lay siege against us; With a rod they smite the cheek of the judge of Israel.

2 Fa ianao, ry Betlehema Efrata, Izay kely tsy tokony ho isan’ ny arivon’ i Joda akory, Dia avy ao aminao no hivoahan’ Izay anankiray ho Mpanapaka ho Ahy ao amin’ ny Isiraely; Hatry ny fahagola no efa nivoahany, dia hatrizay hatrizay.

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, Who art small to be among the thousands of Judah, Out of thee shall he come forth for me to be ruler in Israel, Whose origin is from the ancient age, from the days of old!

3 Koa dia hatolony ireny, Ambara-pihavin’ ny fotoana hiterahan’ izay anankiray hiteraka; Ary izay sisa amin’ ny rahalahiny dia hiverina mbamin’ i ny Zanak’ Isiraely.

But He [[Jehovah]] shall deliver them up, Until she that bringeth forth hath brought forth; Then shall the residue of his brethren return to the children of Israel.

4 Ary hitsangana Izy hiandry ny ondriny amin’ ny herin’ i Jehovah. Sy amin’ ny voninahitry ny anaran’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny, Ka handry fahizay ireny, Fa izao dia ho lehibe hatrany amin’ ny faran’ ny tany Izy.

He shall stand and rule in the strength of Jehovah, In the majesty of Jehovah, his God; And they shall dwell in security, For he shall be great even to the ends of the earth.

5 Ary Izy no ho fiadanana; Raha tonga eto amin’ ny tanin-tsika ny Asyriana Ka miditra ao amin’ ny tranobentsika, Dia hanangana mpiandry ondry fito sy mpanapaka valo hisakana azy isika.

And he shall be peace. When the Assyrian shall come into our land, To trample upon our palaces, Then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, And eight leaders of the people,

6 Ary handany ny tany Asyria amin’ ny sabatra Sy ny tanin’ i Nimroda ao an-tanànany ireo; Ary Izy hamonjy amin’ ny Asyriana, Raha tonga amin’ ny tanintsika sady manitsaka ato amin’ ny fari-tanintsika ireny.

And they shall devour the land of Assyria with the sword, The land of Nimrod within her gates. Thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, And treadeth in our borders.

7 Ary izay sisa amin’ i Jakoba ao amin’ ny firenena maro Dia ho tahaka ny ando avy amin’ i Jehovah, Sy tahaka ny ranonorana eny amin’ ny ahitra, Izay tsy manantena mpaniraka, Na miandry zanak’ olombelona.

The residue of Jacob shall be in the midst of many nations As the dew which cometh from Jehovah, As drops of rain upon the grass, Which tarrieth not for man, Nor waiteth for the sons of men.

8 Ary izay sisa amin’ i Jakoba ao amin’ ny jentilisa, Ao amin’ ny firenena maro, Dia ho tahaka ny liona amin’ ny biby any an’ ala, Sy ho tahaka ny liona tanora ao amin’ ny andian’ ny ondry aman’ osy: Raha mamaky eo izy, dia manitsakitsaka sy mamiravira, ka tsy misy mahavonjy.

The residue of Jacob shall be among the nations, In the midst of many kingdoms, As a lion among the beasts of the forest, As a young lion among flocks of sheep, Who, when he assaulteth, treadeth down and teareth, and none can deliver.

9 Aoka haingaina amin’ ny rafilahinao ny tananao, Ary aoka ho ringana ny fahavalonao rehetra.

Thy hand shall be lifted up over thine adversaries, And all thine enemies shall be destroyed!

10 Ary amin’ izany andro izany, hoy Jehovah, Dia haringako tsy ho eo aminao intsony ny soavalinao, Ary hofonganiko ny kalesinao,

It shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah, That I will destroy thy horses from the midst of thee, And I will consume thy chariots;

11 Hofoanako ny tanàna amin’ ny taninao, Ary harodako ny tanànanao mimanda rehetra;

I will destroy the fortified cities of thy land, And throw down all thy strongholds;

12 Hofoanako tsy hisy amin’ ny tananao ny fankatovanao, Ary tsy hanana mpanandro intsony ianao.

I will destroy sorceries from thy borders, And soothsayers shall not be with thee.

13 Hofoanako tsy hisy aminao koa ny sampinao voasokitra Sy ny tsangam-baton-tsampinao; Ary tsy hiankohoka eo anatrehan’ ny asan’ ny tananao intsony ianao.

I will destroy thy graven images and thy statues from the midst of thee, And thou shalt no more bow down to the work of thine hands;

14 Hongotako tsy ho eo aminao ny Aserahanao; Ary horavako koa ny tanànanao.

I will root out thy Astartes from the midst of thee, And I will destroy thy fortified cities;

15 Ary ny fahatezerana sy ny fahavinirana no hamaliako ny firenena izay tsy mihaino.

And I will execute vengeance in anger and in fury Upon the nations which have not hearkened to me.
