Matio 24
1 Ary nony niala teo an-kianjan’ ny tempoly Jesosy, dia lasa nandeha; ary ny mpianany nanatona Azy hampizaha Azy ny rafitry ny tempoly.
AND Jesus departing was going his way from the temple: and his disciples came to him, to point out to his observation the buildings of the temple.
2 Fa Izy namaly ka nanao taminy hoe: Tsy hitanareo va ireo rehetra ireo? Lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa: Tsy havela hisy vato hifanongoa eto ka tsy horavana.
But Jesus said unto them, Do you not see all these things? I tell you of a certainty, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, which shall not be utterly thrown down.
3 Ary nipetraka teo an-tendrombohitra Oliva Izy, dia nanatona Azy mangingina ny mpianany ka nanao hoe: Lazao aminay izay andro hahatongavan’ izany, ary izay ho famantarana ny fihavianao sy ny fahataperan’ izao tontolo izao. (aiōn g165)
Then as he was sitting upon the mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall there things be? and what is the sign of thy coming, and of the consummation of the age? (aiōn g165)
4 Ary Jesosy namaly ka nanao taminy hoe: Mitandrema, fandrao hisy hamitaka anareo.
And Jesus answering said unto them, Beware that no man deceive you.
5 Fa maro no ho avy amin’ ny anarako hanao hoe: Izaho no Kristy, ka maro no ho voafitany.
For many will come in my name, saying, I am the Messiah; and shall deceive multitudes.
6 Ary handre ady sy filazana ady ianareo; koa mitandrema, aza matahotra; fa tsy maintsy ho tonga izany; nefa tsy mbola tonga ny farany.
And ye shall hear of wars, and rumours of wars: see that ye be not terrified: for these things must first be, but the end is not yet.
7 Fa hisy firenena hitsangana hamely firenena, ary hisy fanjakana hitsangana hamely fanjakana; ary hisy mosary sy horohorontany amin’ ny tany samy hafa.
For nation shall be roused up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places.
8 Fa izany rehetra izany no fiandohan’ ny fahoriana.
Now all these things are the beginning of the travailing pangs.
9 Ary dia hatolony ho amin’ ny fahoriana ianareo ka hovonoiny; ary ho halan’ ny firenena rehetra ianareo noho ny anarako.
Then shall they deliver you up to affliction, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 Ary amin’ izany andro izany dia ho tafintohina ny maro, ary hifampiampanga sy hifankahala izy.
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and hate one another.
11 Ary hisy mpaminany sandoka maro hitsangana ka hamitaka ny maro.
And many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many.
12 Ary noho ny haben’ ny tsi-fankatoavan-dalàna dia hihamangatsiaka ny fitiavan’ ny maro.
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will grow cool.
13 Fa izay maharitra hatramin’ ny farany no hovonjena.
But he that endureth to the end, that man will be saved.
14 Ary hotorina amin’ izao tontolo izao ity filazantsaran’ ny fanjakana ity ho vavolombelona amin’ ny firenena rehetra, dia vao ho tonga ny farany.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached through the whole world for a testimony to all the nations: and then shall come the final close.
15 Koa raha hitanareo mitsangana ao amin’ izay fitoerana masìna ny fahavetavetan’ ny fandravana, izay nampilazaina an’ i Daniela mpaminany (aoka hisaina izay mamaky izany),
When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, erected in the holy place, (let him that readeth, mark this, )
16 dia aoka izay olona any Jodia handositra ho any an-tendrombohitra;
then let such as are in Judea flee into the mountains.
17 ary izay ao an-tampon-trano aoka tsy hidina haka ny ao an-tranony;
Let not him who is upon the roof go down to take any thing out of his house.
18 ary izay any an-tsaha aoka tsy hiverina haka ny lambany.
And he that is in the field, let him not turn back to take his garment.
19 Ary lozan’ ny bevohoka sy ny mampinono amin’ ireo andro ireo!
But wo to those who are with child, and have an infant at their breasts in those days!
20 Fa mivavaha ianareo mba tsy ho amin’ ny ririnina na ho amin’ ny Sabata no handosiranareo.
And pray that your flight be not in winter, nor on the sabbath.
21 Fa amin’ izany andro izany dia hisy fahoriana lehibe, izay tsy mbola nisy toa azy hatrizay niandohan’ izao tontolo izao ka mandraka ankehitriny, sady tsy hisy intsony.
For then the tribulation will be great, such as never was from the beginning of the world, and never more shall be.
22 Ary raha tsy efa nohafohezina izany andro izany, dia tsy nisy nofo hovonjena; fa noho ny olom-boafidy dia hohafohezina izany andro izany.
And except those days were shortened, there would be no flesh saved: but for the elect’s sake these days shall be shortened.
23 Koa raha misy manao aminareo hoe: Indro, y Kristy, na: Indro, ar; aza mino ianareo.
Then if any man say unto you, Lo! here is the Messiah, or there; believe it not:
24 Fa hisy Kristy sandoka sy mpaminany sandoka hitsangana ka haneho famantarana lehibe sy fahagagana, ary raha azo atao, na dia ny olom-boafidy aza dia hofitahiny.
for false Messiahs and false prophets shall arise, and give out great signs and wonders; so as to deceive, if it were possible, even the elect.
25 Indro, voalazako aminareo rahateo izany.
Behold, I have forewarned you.
26 Ary amin’ izany, raha misy manao aminareo hoe: Indro, any an-efitra Izy, aza mankany ianareo; Indro, ao amin’ ny efi-trano Izy, aza mino.
Therefore if they say to you, He is in the wilderness; go not out: lo! he is in the secret closets; believe it not.
27 Fa tahaka ny helatra avy any atsinanana ka hita hatrany andrefana, dia ho tahaka izany ny fihavian’ ny Zanak’ olona.
For as the lightning cometh out from the east, and flashes to the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.
28 Fa izay itoeran’ ny faty, dia any no hiangonan’ ny voromahery.
For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Ary raha vao afaka ny fahoriana amin’ ireo andro ireo, ny masoandro dia hohamaizinina, ary ny volana tsy hahazava; ny kintana hiraraka avy any an-danitra, ary ny herin’ ny lanitra hohozongozonina.
Then, immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
30 Ary amin’ izany andro izany dia hiseho eo amin’ ny lanitra ny famantarana ny Zanak’ olona, ka dia hitomany ny firenena rehetra ambonin’ ny tany, ary hahita ny Zanak’ olona avy amin-kery sy voninahitra lehibe eo amin’ ny rahon’ ny lanitra izy.
And then shall the sign of the Son of man appear in the heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth lament bitterly, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 Ary amin’ ny ampanenoana mafy ny trompetra dia haniraka ny anjeliny Izy, ary hangonin’ ireo ny olom-boafidy avy amin’ ny vazan-tany efatra hatramin’ ny faravodilanitra rehetra.
And he shall send forth his angels with a trumpet, and a great shout, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the extremities of the heavens to the extremities of the same.
32 Ary mianara ny fanoharana ny amin’ ny aviavy: Raha vao manaroka ny rantsany ka mandravina, dia fantatrareo fa efa akaiky ny lohataona.
Learn then a parable from the fig-tree; when its branch is now tender, and the leaves shoot forth, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 Dia tahaka izany koa ianareo, raha vao hitanareo izany rehetra izany, dia aoka ho fantatrareo fa efa akaiky mby eo am-baravarana Izy.
just so ye, when ye behold these things, know that it is near, even at the gates.
34 Lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa: Tsy mba ho lany izao taranaka izao mandra-pahatongan’ izany rehetra izany.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away until all these things shall be done.
35 Ny lanitra sy ny tany ho levona, fa ny teniko tsy mba ho levona.
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.
36 Fa ny amin’ izany andro sy ora izany dia tsy misy mahalala, na dia ny anjelin’ ny lanitra aza, [ary na ny Zanaka aza, ] afa-tsy ny Ray ihany.
But of that day and hour no man knoweth, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father alone.
37 Fa tahaka ny andron’ i Noa, dia ho tahaka izany koa ny fihavian’ ny Zanak’ olona.
But as the days of Noah were, so also shall the coming of the Son of man be.
38 Fa tahaka ny tamin’ ny andro fony tsy mbola tonga ny Safo-drano, ka nihinana sy nisotro ny olona ary nampaka-bady sy namoaka ny ampakarina, mandra-pihavin’ ny andro izay nidiran’ i Noa tao amin’ ny sambo-fiara,
For as they were in the days preceding the deluge, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
39 ary tsy fantany mandra-pihavin’ ny Safo-drano izay nandringana ny olona rehetra, dia ho tahaka izany ny fihavian’ ny Zanak’ olona.
and they knew it not till the deluge came, and swept them all away; such also shall the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Ary amin’ izany hisy roa lahy any an-tsaha; ny anankiray horaisina, ary ny anankiray havela.
Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other dismissed.
41 Ary hisy roa vavy manodina ny fikosoham-bary; ny anankiray horaisina, ary ny anankiray havela.
Two women grinding at the mill; the one taken, the other dismissed.
42 Koa amin’ izany miambena ianareo; fa tsy fantatrareo izay andro hihavian’ ny Tomponareo.
Watch therefore: for ye know not at what hour your Master cometh.
43 Nefa aoka ho fantatrareo izao: Raha fantatry ny tompon-trano ny fiambenana amin’ ny alina izay hihavian’ ny mpangalatra, dia ho niambina izy ka tsy namela ny tranony hotamina.
And this observe, that if the master of the family had known in which watch of the night the thief would have come, he would have watched, and not have suffered him to break into his house.
44 Koa miomana kosa ianareo; fa amin’ izay ora tsy ampoizinareo no hihavian’ ny Zanak’ olona.
Therefore be ye also prepared: for in an hour that ye think not, the Son of man cometh.
45 Iza moa no mpanompo mahatoky sy manan-tsaina, izay notendren’ ny tompony hifehy ny mpanompony mba hanome azy hanina amin’ ny fotoana?
Who then is the faithful and provident servant, whom his Lord hath appointed over his household, to give them meat in the proper time?
46 Sambatra izany mpanompo izany, raha avy ny tompony ka hahita azy manao izany.
Blessed is that servant whom his Lord when he cometh shall find thus occupied.
47 Lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa: Hotendreny ho mpanapaka ny fananany rehetra izy.
Verily I say unto you, that he will place him over all his substance.
48 Fa raha manao anakampo izany mpanompo ratsy fanahy izany hoe: Maharitra ela ny tompoko,
But if that wicked servant say in his heart, My master will be a long while ere he comes;
49 ka dia mikapoka ny mpanompo namany izy ary mihinana sy misotro amin’ ny mpimamo,
and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 dia ho avy ny tompon’ izany mpanompo izany amin’ ny andro izay tsy ampoiziny sy amin’ ny ora izay tsy fantany,
the master of that servant will come in a day that he doth not expect him, and at an hour which he knoweth not.
51 dia hotapahiny roa izy ka homeny anjara any amin’ ny mpihatsaravelatsihy; any no hisy ny fitomaniana sy ny fikitroha-nify.
And will cut him asunder, and give him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
