< Marka 9 >
1 Ary hoy Izy taminy: Lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa: Misy ny sasany eto izay tsy mba hanandrana fahafatesana mandra-pahitany ny fanjakan’ Andriamanitra tonga amin’ ny hery.
“I tell you,” he added, “that some of those who are standing here will not know death until they have seen the kingdom of God come in power.”
2 Ary nony afaka henemana, Jesosy dia naka an’ i Petera sy Jakoba ary Jaona ka nitondra azy nitokana niakatra ho any an-tendrombohitra avo anankiray; dia niova tarehy teo anatrehany Izy,
Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain alone by themselves. There his appearance was transformed before their eyes,
3 ary ny fitafiany niova nanelatrelatra sady fotsy indrindra, ka tsy misy mpamotsy lamba ambonin’ ny tany mahafotsy toy izany.
and his clothes became whiter than any launderer in the whole world could bleach them.
4 Ary Elia sy Mosesy niseho taminy ka niresaka tamin’ i Jesosy.
And Elijah appeared to them, in company with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.
5 Ary niteny Petera ka nanao tamin’ i Jesosy hoe: Raby ô, tsara raha mitoetra eto isika; ary aoka hanao lay telo izahay: ny anankiray ho Anao, ny anankiray ho an’ i Mosesy, ary ny anankiray ho an’ i Elia.
“Rabbi,” said Peter, interposing, “it is good to be here; let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
6 Fa tsy fantany izay havaliny, satria efa raiki-tahotra izy rehetra.
For he did not know what to say, because they were much afraid.
7 Ary nisy rahona niseho nanarona azy; ary dia nisy feo avy tao amin’ ny rahona nanao hoe: Ity no Zanako malalako, Izy no henoy.
Then a cloud came down and enveloped them; and from the cloud there came a voice – “This is my dearly loved son; listen to him.”
8 Ary niaraka tamin’ izay, nony nijery manodidina izy ireo, dia tsy nisy hitany intsony na iza na iza afa-tsy Jesosy irery ihany, Izay teo aminy.
And suddenly, on looking around, they saw that there was now no one with them but Jesus alone.
9 Ary nony nidina avy teo an-tendrombohitra Izy, dia nandrara azy Jesosy mba tsy hilazalaza amin’ olona izay zavatra efa hitany mandra-pitsangan’ ny Zanak’ olona amin’ ny maty.
As they were going down the mountainside, Jesus cautioned them not to relate what they had seen to anyone, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
10 Ary nitana izany teny izany izy ka nifampaka saina ny amin’ izay hevitr’ izany fitsanganana amin’ ny maty izany.
They seized on these words and discussed with one another what this ‘rising from the dead’ meant.
11 Dia nanontany an’ i Jesosy izy ka nanao hoe: Lazain’ ny mpanora-dalàna fa Elia tsy maintsy ho avy aloha.
“How is it,” they asked Jesus, “that our teachers of the Law say that Elijah has to come first?”
12 Ary Izy nanao taminy hoe: Elia dia avy aloha ihany ka mampody ny zavatra rehetra. Ary ahoana kosa no nanoratana ny amin’ ny Zanak’ olona fa tsy maintsy mijaly mafy Izy ka hatao tsinontsinona?
“Elijah does indeed come first,” answered Jesus, “and re-establish everything; and does not scripture speak, with regard to the Son of Man, of his undergoing much suffering and being utterly despised?
13 Nefa lazaiko aminareo: Efa tonga Elia, sady nataon’ ny olona taminy izay sitraky ny fony araka ny nanoratana azy.
But I tell you that Elijah has come, and people have treated him just as they pleased, as scripture says of him.”
14 Ary nony tonga teo amin’ ny mpianatra izy, dia nahita vahoaka betsaka manodidina azy sy mpanora-dalàna niady hevitra taminy.
When they came to the other disciples, they saw a great crowd around them, and some teachers of the Law arguing with them.
15 Ary niaraka tamin’ izay, nony nahita Azy ny vahoaka rehetra, dia talanjona ka nihazakazaka nanatona sy niarahaba Azy.
But, as soon as they saw Jesus, all the people, in great astonishment, ran up and greeted him.
16 Ary Izy nanontany azy hoe: Inona no iadianareo hevitra amin’ ireto?
“What are you arguing about with them?” Jesus asked.
17 Ary ny anankiray tamin’ ny vahoaka namaly ka nanao hoe: Mpampianatra ô, nentiko ho etỳ aminao ny zanako-lahy, izay azom-panahy moana;
“Teacher,” answered a man in the crowd, “I brought my son to see you, as he has a spirit in him that makes him mute;
18 ary na aiza na aiza no ahazoany azy, dia ampihinjitrinjiriny izy, ary mandoa vory, dia mikitro-nify sady valaka dia valaka; ary niteny tamin’ ny mpianatrao aho mba hamoaka izany; fa tsy hainy.
and, wherever it seizes him, it dashes him down; he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth, and he is pining away. I asked your disciples to drive the spirit out, but they failed.”
19 Ary Jesosy namaly azy hoe: Ry taranaka tsy mino, mandra-pahoviana no hitoerako aminareo? Mandra-pahoviana no handeferako aminareo? Ento etỳ amiko izy.
“Faithless generation!” exclaimed Jesus. “How long must I be with you? How long must I have patience with you? Bring the boy to me.”
20 Dia nentiny teo aminy izy; fa nony nahita an’ i Jesosy izy, dia nampifanintontsintona ny tenany niaraka tamin’ izay ny fanahy. Dia lavo tamin’ ny tany izy sady nitsinkasinkasina sy nandoa vory.
They brought him to Jesus; but no sooner did the boy see him than the spirit threw him into convulsions; and he fell on the ground, and rolled about, foaming at the mouth.
21 Ary Jesosy nanontany an-drainy hoe: Hoatrinona izay no nahatongavan’ izao taminy? Ary hoy izy: Hatry ny fony izy mbola zaza.
“How long has he been like this?” Jesus asked the boy’s father.
22 Ary nazerany matetika tao anaty afo sy tao anaty rano izy hamonoany azy; fa raha mba misy hainao, dia mamindrà fo aminay, ka vonjeo izahay.
“From his childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire and into water to put an end to his life; but, if you can possibly do anything, take pity on us, and help us!”
23 Fa hoy Jesosy taminy: Hainao hoe? Ny zavatra rehetra dia hain’ ny mino.
“Why say ‘possibly’?” Jesus replied. “Everything is possible for one who has faith.”
24 Ary niaraka tamin’ izay dia niantso ny rain-drazazalahy ka nanao hoe: Mino aho; vonjeo mba ho afaka amin’ ny tsi-finoako.
The boy’s father immediately cried out, “I have faith; help my want of faith!”
25 Ary nony hitan’ i Jesosy fa nihazakazaka nanatona azy ny vahoaka, dia niteny mafy ny fanahy maloto Izy ka nanao taminy hoe: Ry fanahy moana sy marenina! Izaho mandidy anao: Mivoaha aminy, ka aza miditra ao anatiny intsony.
But, when Jesus saw that a crowd was quickly collecting, he rebuked the foul spirit, “Deaf and dumb spirit, it is I who command you. Come out from him and never enter him again.”
26 Ary rehefa ninananana izy sady nampifanintontsintona mafy ilay zazalahy, dia nivoaka taminy; ary efa toy ny maty, ka dia nataon’ ny maro hoe: Maty.
With a loud cry the spirit threw the boy into repeated convulsions, and then came out from him. The boy looked like a corpse, so that most of them said that he was dead.
27 Fa Jesosy nandray ny tànany ka nanarina azy; dia nitsangana izy.
But Jesus took his hand, and lifted him; and he stood up.
28 Ary rehefa tonga tao an-trano Jesosy, dia nanontany Azy mangingina ny mpianany hoe: izahay tsy nahavoaka azy.
When Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
29 Ary hoy Izy taminy: Iny karazana iny tsy mba azo avoaka na amin’ inona na amin’ inona, afa-tsy amin’ ny fivavahana ihany.
“A spirit of this kind,” he said, “can be driven out only by prayer.”
30 Dia niala teo izy ka nizotra namaky an’ i Galilia, ary tsy tian’ i Jesosy ho fantatry ny olona izany.
Leaving that place, Jesus and his disciples went on their way through Galilee; but he did not wish anyone to know it,
31 Fa nampianatra ny mpianany Izy ka nanao taminy hoe: Ny Zanak’ olona dia hatolotra eo an-tànan’ ny olona ka hovonoiny; ary rehefa voavono Izy, dia hitsangana rehefa afaka hateloana.
for he was instructing his disciples, and telling them – “The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of his fellow men, and they will put him to death, but, when he has been put to death, he will rise again after three days.”
32 Fa izy ireo tsy nahafantatra izany teny izany sady natahotra hanontany Azy.
But the disciples did not understand his meaning and were afraid to question him.
33 Ary tonga tao Kapernaomy izy; ary rehefa mby tao an-trano Jesosy, dia nanontany ny mpianany hoe: Inona no niadianareo hevitra teny an-dalana?
They came to Capernaum. When Jesus had gone into the house, he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”
34 Fa tsy nahateny izy, satria efa niady hevitra teny an-dalana izy ny amin’ izay lehibe indrindra.
But they were silent; for on the way they had been arguing with one another which was the greatest.
35 Ary rehefa tafapetraka Jesosy, dia niantso ny roa ambin’ ny folo lahy Izy ka nanao taminy hoe: Raha misy te-ho voalohany, dia hatao farany amin’ izy rehetra sy ho mpanompo’ izy rehetra izy.
Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “If anyone wishes to be first, he must be last of all, and servant of all.”
36 Ary nandray zaza Izy ka nametraka azy teo afovoany; ary raha notrotroiny ilay zaza, dia hoy Izy tamin’ ny mpianany:
Then Jesus took a little child, and placed it in the middle of them. Taking it in his arms, he said to them,
37 Na zovy na zovy no mandray zaza iray tahaka itony amin’ ny anarako, dia mandray Ahy; ary na zovy na zovy no mandray Ahy, dia tsy mandray Ahy, fa Izay naniraka Ahy.
“Anyone who, for the sake of my name, welcomes even a little child like this is welcoming me, and anyone who welcomes me is welcoming not me, but him who sent me as his messenger.”
38 Ary hoy Jaona taminy: Mpampianatra ô, nahita olona anankiray namoaka demonia tamin’ ny anaranao izahay, ka noraranay izy, satria tsy nanaraka antsika.
“Teacher,” said John, “we saw a man driving out demons by using your name, and we tried to prevent him, because he did not follow us.”
39 Fa hoy Jesosy: Aza mandrara azy; fa tsy misy olona izay hanao asa lehibe amin’ ny anarako ka hahateny ratsy Ahy vetivety.
“None of you must prevent the man,” answered Jesus, “for no one will use my name in working a miracle, and yet find it easy to speak evil of me.
40 Fa izay tsy manohitra antsika dia momba antsika.
He who is not against us is for us.
41 Fa na iza na iza no manome anareo rano eran’ ny kapoaka hosotroinareo, satria an’ i Kristy ianareo, dia lazaiko aminareo marina tokoa fa tsy ho very ny valim-pitiany.
If anyone gives you a cup of water because you belong to Christ, I tell you, he will assuredly not lose his reward.
42 Ary na iza na iza no mahatafintohina na iray aza amin’ ireo madinika mino Ahy ireo, dia tsara ho azy, raha anantonana vato lehibe fikosoham-bary ny vozony, ka hatsipy ao anaty ranomasina izy.
“And, if anyone puts temptation in the way of one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be far better for him if he had been thrown into the sea with a great millstone around his neck.
43 Ary raha ny tananao no manafintohina anao, tapaho izy; fa tsara ho anao ny hiditra kilemaina any amin’ ny fiainana noho ny manana tanana roa, nefa hariana any amin’ ny helo, dia any amin’ ny afo tsy azo vonoina. (Geenna )
If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It would be better for you to enter the life maimed, than to have both your hands and go into Gehenna, into the fire that cannot be put out. (Geenna )
45 Ary raha ny tongotrao no manafintohina anao, tapaho izy; fa tsara ho anao ny hiditra mandringa any amin’ ny fiainana noho ny manana tongotra roa, nefa hariana any amin’ ny helo. (Geenna )
If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It would be better for you to enter the life lame, than to have both your feet and be thrown into Gehenna. (Geenna )
47 Ary raha ny masonao no manafintohina anao, esory hiala izy: fa tsara ho anao ny hiditra toka-maso amin’ ny fanjakan’ Andriamanitra noho ny manana maso roa, nefa hariana any amin’ ny helo; (Geenna )
If your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It would be better for you to enter the kingdom of God with only one eye, than to have both eyes and be thrown into Gehenna, (Geenna )
48 any ny kankany tsy maty, ary ny afo tsy vonoina.
where their worm does not die, and the fire is not put out.
49 Fa samy ho voasira amin’ ny afo izy rehetra.
For it is by fire that everyone will be salted.
50 Tsara ny sira, fa raha tonga matsatso izy, inona no ho entinareo mampody ny tsirony? Aoka hisy sira ao anatinareo, ka mihavàna tsara ianareo.
Salt is good, but, if the salt should lose its saltiness, what will you use to season it? You must have salt in yourselves, and live at peace with one another.”
