1 Ary niaraka tamin’ izay raha vao maraina ny andro, ny lohan’ ny mpisorona sy ny loholona sy ny mpanora-dalàna mbamin’ ny Synedriona rehetra dia niara-nisaina ary namatotra an’ i Jesosy ka nitondra Azy, dia nanolotra Azy teo amin’ i Pilato.
And anone in ye dawnynge the hye prestes helde counsell wt ye elders and ye scribes and ye whoole cogregacion and bounde Iesus and ledde him awaye and delivered him to Pilate.
2 Ary Pilato nanontany Azy hoe: Hianao va no Mpanjakan’ ny Jiosy? Ary Izy namaly ka nanao taminy hoe: Voalazanao.
And Pilate axed him: arte thou the kynge of the Iewes? And he answered and sayde vnto him: thou sayest it.
3 Ary ny lohan’ ny mpisorona niampanga Azy zavatra maro.
And the hye prestes accused him of many thinges.
4 Ary Pilato dia nanontany Azy indray hoe: Tsy mety mamaly akory va Hianao? He! izao hamaroan’ ny zavatra iampangany Anao izao!
Wherfore Pilate axed him agayne sayinge: Answerest thou nothinge? Beholde how many thinges they lay vnto thy charge.
5 Fa Jesosy tsy namaly intsony, na dia indraim-bava akory aza, ka dia gaga Pilato.
Iesus yet answered never aworde so that Pilate merveled.
6 Ary isaky ny avy ny andro firavoravoana dia fanaony ny mandefa mpifatotra iray izay angatahin’ ny vahoaka.
At that feast Pilate was wont to delivre at their pleasure a presoner: whomsoever they wolde desyre.
7 Ary nisy anankiray ilay atao hoe Barabasy, nifatotra tao mbamin’ ny mpikomy sasany, izay efa nahafaty olona tamin’ ny fikomiana.
And ther was one named Barrabas which laye bounde with the that made insurreccion and in the insurreccion comitted murther.
8 Ary ny vahoaka niakatra ka nangataka azy hanao araka izay fanaony aminy.
And ye people called vnto him and began to desyre accordinge as he had ever done vnto them.
9 Fa Pilato namaly azy ka nanao hoe: Tianareo va mba ny Mpanjakan’ ny Jiosy no halefako ho anareo?
Pylate answered them and sayd: Will ye that I lowse vnto you the kynge of the Iewes?
10 Fa fantany fa fialonana no nanoloran’ ny lohan’ ny mpisorona Azy.
For he knewe that the hye Prestes had delyvered him of envy.
11 Fa ny lohan’ ny mpisorona nanome fo ny vahoaka, fa aleo Barabasy no halefan’ i Pilato ho azy.
But the hye prestes had moved the people that he shuld rather delyvre Barrabas vnto them.
12 Ary Pilato namaly ka nanao taminy indray hoe: Ka inona ary no hataoko amin’ ilay ataonareo hoe: Mpanjakan’ ny Jiosy?
And Pylate answered agayne and sayd vnto the: What will ye then that I do wt him whom ye call ye kynge of ye Iewes?
13 Ary ny vahoaka niantso indray hoe: Homboy amin’ ny hazo fijaliana Izy!
And they cryed agayne: crucifie him.
14 Ary hoy Pilato taminy: Fa inona moa no ratsy nataony? Nefa vao mainka niantsoantso izy ka nanao hoe: Homboy amin’ ny hazo fijaliana Izy!
Pylate sayde vnto them: What evell hath he done? And they cryed ye moore fervently: crucifie him.
15 Ary Pilato ta-hahazo sitraka tamin’ ny vahoaka, ka dia nandefa an’ i Barabasy ho azy; fa Jesosy nasainy nokapohina, dia natolony azy mba hohomboana amin’ ny hazo fijaliana.
And so Pylate willinge to content the people lowsed them Barrabas and delyvered Iesus when he had scourged him for to be crucified.
16 Ary ny miaramila nitondra an’ i Jesosy ho eo an-kianja, dia ao anati-rova, sady nanangona ny miaramila namany rehetra.
And the souddeers ledde him awaye into ye commen hall and called togedder the whoole multitude
17 Ary dia nampitafy Azy lamba volomparasy izy, sady nandrandrana satroka tsilo, ka nasatrony ny lohany.
and they clothed him with purple and they platted a croune of thornes and crouned him with all
18 Ary dia niarahaba Azy hoe izy: Arahaba, ry Mpanjakan’ ny Jiosy!
and beganne to salute him. Hayle kynge of the Iewes.
19 Ary dia nikapoka ny lohany tamin’ ny volotara izy sady nandrora Azy, dia nandohalika sy niankohoka teo anatrehany.
And they smoote him on the heed wt a rede and spat apon him and kneled doune and worsheped him.
20 Ary rehefa nanao Azy ho fihomehezana izy, dia nanala ilay lamba volomparasy teny aminy, ka nampitafiny Azy indray ny fitafiany; ary dia nentiny hohomboany amin’ ny hazo fijaliana Izy.
And when they had moocked him they toke the purple of him and put his awne cloothes on him and ledde him oute to crucifie him.
21 Ary Simona Kyreniana (rain’ i Aleksandro sy Rofosy) izay nandalo avy tany an-tsaha, no notereny hitondra ny hazo fijalian’ i Jesosy.
And they compelled one that passed by called Symon of Cyrene (which cam oute of the felde and was father of Alexander and Rufus) to beare his crosse.
22 Ary Jesosy dia nentiny teo amin’ ny tany Golgota, izany hoe, raha adika, Fitoeran-karan-doha.
And they brought him to a place named Golgotha (which is by interpretacion the place of deed mens scoulles)
23 Dia notolorany divay miharo miora Izy; nefa tsy nety nisotro Izy.
and they gave him to drinke wyne myngled with myrte but he receaved it not.
24 Ary rehefa voahombony tamin’ ny hazo fijaliana Izy, dia nanaovany loka no fizara ny fitafiany, hahitany izay ho azony avy.
And when they had crucified him they parted his garmentes castinge loottes for them what every man shulde have.
25 Ary tamin’ ny ora fahatelo no nanomboany tamin’ ny hazo fijaliana.
And it was aboute ye thyrde houre and they crucified him.
26 Ary ny soratra milaza ny nanamelohana Azy dia voasoratra teo amboniny hoe: MPANJAKAN’ NY JIOSY.
And the tytle of his cause was wrytten: The kynge of the Iewes.
27 Ary nisy jiolahy roa nohomboany tamin’ ny hazo fijaliana koa, ny anankiray teo amin’ ny ankavanany, ary ny anankiray teo amin’ ny ankaviany.
And they crucified with him two theves: the one on the ryght honde and the other on his lyfte.
And the scripture was fulfilled which sayeth: he was counted amonge the wicked.
29 Ary izay nandalo niteny ratsy Azy sady nihifikifi-doha ka nanao hoe: Hià! ry Ilay maharava ny tempoly sy mahatsangana azy amin’ ny hateloana,
And they that went by rayled on him: waggynge their heedes and sayinge: A wretche that destroyest the temple and byldest it in thre dayes:
30 vonjeo ny tenanao, ka midìna hiala amin’ ny hazo fijaliana.
save thy sylfe and come doune from the crosse.
31 Ary toy izany koa no faneson’ ny lohan’ ny mpisorona, fa niresaka izy sy ny mpanora-dalàna nanao hoe: Namonjy ny sasany Izy, fa ny tenany tsy hainy vonjena.
Lyke wyse also mocked him ye hye preestes amonge them selves with the scribes and sayde: He saved other men him sylfe he cannot save.
32 Aoka Kristy, Mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely, hidina hiala amin’ ny hazo fijaliana ankehitriny mba ho hitantsika ka hinoantsika. Ary ireo niaraka nohomboana taminy tamin’ ny hazo fijaliana dia naneso Azy koa.
Let Christ the kynge of Israel now descende from the crosse that we maye se and beleve. And they that were crucified with him checked him also.
33 Ary nony tamin’ ny ora fahenina, dia tonga maizina ny tany rehetra, ka naharitra hatramin’ ny ora fahasivy izany.
And when the sixte houre was come darknes aroose over all the erth vntyll ye nynthe houre.
34 Ary tamin’ ny ora fahasivy Jesosy dia niantso tamin’ ny feo mahery ka nanao hoe: Eloy, Eloy, lamà sabaktany! izay hoe, raha adika: Andriamanitro ô, Andriamanitro ô, nahoana no mahafoy Ahy Hianao?
And at the nynthe houre Iesus cryed with a loude voyce sayinge: Eloi Eloi lamaasbathani which is yf it be interpreted: my God my God why hast thou forsaken me?
35 Ary ny sasany izay nijanona teo, raha nandre izany, dia nanao hoe: Indro, miantso an’ i Elia Izy.
And some of them that stode by when they hearde yt sayde: beholde he calleth for Helyas
36 Ary ny anankiray nihazakazaka, dia nanatsoboka sipaonjy tamin’ ny vinaingitra, ka notohiziny tamin’ ny volotara, dia natohony hotsentsefin’ i Jesosy, fa hoy izy: Aoka ho hizahantsika, na ho avy hampidina Azy Elia, na tsia.
And one ran and filled a sponge full of veneger and put it on a rede and gave him to drinke sayinge: let him alone let vs se whether Helyas will come and take him doune.
37 Ary Jesosy niantso tamin’ ny feo mahery, dia afaka ny ainy.
But Iesus cryed with aloude voyce and gave vp the gooste.
38 Ary ny efitra lamba tao amin’ ny tempoly dia triatra nizara roa hatrany ambony ka hatrany ambany.
And the vayle of the temple dyd rent in two peces from the toppe to the boottome.
39 Ary ny kapiteny izay nijanona tandrifiny, raha nahita fa afaka toy izany ny ainy, dia nanao hoe: Marina tokoa fa Zanak’ Andriamanitra io Lehilahy io.
And when the Centurion which stode before him sawe that he so cryed and gave vp the gooste he sayd: truly this man was the sonne of God.
40 Ary nisy vehivavy koa nitsinjo teny lavidavitra eny, ary isan’ ireny Maria Magdalena sy Salome ary Maria, renin’ i Jakoba kely sy Josesy,
Ther were also wemen a good waye of beholdinge him: amonge whom was Mary Magdalen and Mary the mother of Iames the lytle and of Ioses and Mary Salome
41 izay nanaraka Azy ka nanompo Azy, fony Izy tany Galilia, mbamin’ ny vehivavy maro koa izay niaraka taminy niakatra tany Jerosalema.
which also when he was in Galile folowed him and ministred vnto him and many other wemen which came vp with him to Hierusalem.
42 Ary nony hariva (satria andro fiomanana ny andro, dia ny andro alohan’ ny Sabata),
And now when nyght was come (because it was ye even that goeth before ye saboth)
43 dia avy Josefa avy any Arimatia, lehilahy manan-kaja, izay isan’ ny Synedriona sady niandry ny fanjakan’ Andriamanitra koa; ary sahy niditra tao amin’ i Pilato izy ka nangataka ny fatin’ i Jesosy.
Ioseph of Arimathia a noble councelour which also loked for ye kyngdome of God came and went in booldly vnto Pylate and begged ye boddy of Iesu.
44 Ary gaga Pilato raha maty sahady Jesosy, ka dia niantso ny kapiteny hankao aminy izy ka nanontaniany azy na efa maty ela Izy, na tsia.
And Pylate merveled that he was alredy deed and called vnto him ye Centurion and axed of him whether he had bene eny whyle deed.
45 Ary rehefa nahare tamin’ ny kapiteny izy, dia nomeny an’ i Josefa ny faty.
And when he knewe the trueth of the Centurion he gave ye body to Ioseph.
46 Ary izy nividy hariry madinika, dia nampidininy ny fatin’ i Jesosy ka nofonosiny hariry madinika, ary naleviny tao amin’ ny fasana, izay nolavahana tamin’ ny vatolampy, dia nanakodia vato ho eo amin’ ny varavaran’ ny fasana izy.
And he bought a lynnen cloothe and toke him doune and wrapped him in ye lynnen cloothe and layde him in a tombe yt was hewen oute of ye rocke and rolled a stone vnto the doze of the sepulcre.
47 Ary Maria Magdalena sy Maria, renin’ i Josesy, dia nijery izay nametrahany Azy.
And Mary Magdalen and Mary Ioses beheld where he was layde.
