< Levitikosy 3 >
1 Ary raha fanati-pihavanana no fanatiny, ka ombilahy na ombivavy no ateriny, dia izay tsy misy kilema no hateriny eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah.
[“Also tell the people], ‘When the offering that you bring to Yahweh is to maintain good fellowship [with him], you may bring a bull or a cow from your herd [of cattle], but what you present to Yahweh must be an animal that has no defects.
2 Ary hametraka ny tànany amin’ ny lohan’ ny fanatiny izy, dia hamono azy eo anoloan’ ny varavaran’ ny trano-lay fihaonana; ary ireo mpisorona, zanak’ i Arona, hanopy ny rà manodidina amin’ ny lafin’ ny alitara.
You must bring the animal to the entrance to the Sacred Tent. You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it [and drain some of its blood in a bowl]. Then one of Aaron’s sons, one of the priests, will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
3 Dia hangalan’ ny mpisorona ny fanati-pihavanana, ka hateriny ho fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho an’ i Jehovah, dia ny safodrorohany sy ny saboran-tsinainy
From that offering, you must offer to Yahweh, as a sacrifice that will be burned in the fire, all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal, or which is attached to them—
4 sy ny voany roa mbamin’ ny fonom-boany, izay eo amin’ ny takibany, ary ny ila-atiny lehibe; hataony indray manala amin’ ny voany no fanaisony izany.
the kidneys and the fat that is attached to them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
5 Ary ireo zanak’ i Arona dia handoro izany ho fofona eo ambonin’ ny alitara miaraka amin’ ny fanatitra dorana izay eo ambonin’ ny kitay eo amin’ ny afo; dia fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho hanitra ankasitrahana ho an’ i Jehovah izany.
Then one of the priests will burn those things on the altar, along with the other parts of the animal that will be completely burned to be an offering [to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh.
6 Ary raha ondry na osy no ateriny ho fanati-pihavanana ho an’ i Jehovah, dia izay tsy misy kilema, na lahy na vavy, no hateriny.
If that offering to maintain good fellowship with Yahweh is a sheep or a goat, it must also be an animal that has no defects.
7 Raha zanak’ ondry no hateriny ho fanatiny, dia hanatitra azy eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah izy.
If you offer a lamb, you must present it to Yahweh [at the entrance to the Sacred Tent]. You must lay your hands on the lamb’s head and then slaughter it. [‘You must drain some of its blood in a bowl].
8 Ary hametraka ny tànany amin’ ny lohan’ ny fanatiny izy, dia hamono azy eo anoloan’ ny trano-lay fihaonana; ary ireo zanak’ i Arona hanopy ny rà manodidina amin’ ny lafin’ ny alitara.
Then one of the priests will sprinkle that blood against all sides of the altar.
9 Ary hangalan’ ireo ny fanati-pihavanana ka hateriny ho fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho an’ i Jehovah, dia ny hofany manontolo (faranana hatreo amin’ ny faran’ ny taolan-damosina no fanaisony izany) sy ny saborany, dia ny safodrorohany sy ny saboran-tsinainy
You must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: Its fat, the fat tail that you must cut off close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the lamb or which is attached to them—
10 ary ny voany roa mbamin’ ny fonom-boany, izay eo amin’ ny takibany, sy ny ila-atiny lehibe; hataony indray manala amin’ ny voany no fanaisony izany.
the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
11 Ary ny mpisorona dia handoro izany ho fofona eo ambonin’ ny alitara; hanina avy amin’ ny fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho an’ i Jehovah izany.
One of the priests will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh].
12 Ary raha osy no fanatiny, dia hanatitra azy eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah izy.
‘If your offering is a goat, you must take/present it to Yahweh.
13 Ary hametraka ny tànany amin’ ny lohany izy, dia hamono azy eo anoloan’ ny trano-lay fihaonana; ary ireo zanak’ i Arona dia hanopy ny rà manodidina amin’ ny lafin’ ny alitara.
You must lay your hands on its head. Then you must slaughter it in front of the Sacred Tent. Then one of Aaron’s sons will sprinkle the blood against all sides of the altar.
14 Ary avy aminy no hanaterany ny fanatiny atao amin’ ny afo ho an’ i Jehovah, dia ny safodrorohany sy ny saboran-tsinainy
From that offering you must dedicate these things to be a sacrifice to Yahweh that is burned: All the fat that covers the inner parts of the animal or which is attached to them,
15 ary ny voany roa mbamin’ ny fonom-boany, izay eo amin’ ny takibany, sy ny ila-atiny lehibe; hataony indray manala amin’ ny voany no fanaisony izany.
the kidneys with the fat that is on them near the lower back muscle, and the fat that covers the liver.
16 Ary ny mpisorona handoro azy ho fofona eo ambonin’ ny alitara; hanina avy amin’ ny fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho hanitra ankasitrahana izany; an’ i Jehovah ny sabora rehetra.
The priest will burn those things on the altar to be an offering to Yahweh; [it will be as though] they will be a special food [given to Yahweh]. And the aroma while it burns will be pleasing to Yahweh. All the fat [of the animals that are sacrificed] belongs to Yahweh.
17 Izao no ho lalàna mandrakizay amin’ ny taranakareo hatramin’ ny fara mandimby eny amin’ izay rehetra itoeranareo: tsy hihinana sabora na rà akory ianareo.
‘This is a command that must be obeyed by you and your descendants forever, wherever you live: You must not eat the fat or the blood [of any animal].’”
