< Levitikosy 13 >

1 Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy sy Arona ka nanao hoe:
Yahweh said this to Aaron and Moses/me:
2 Raha misy mamontsina eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofon’ ny olona, na misy manako-pery na misy mifaritra mangirana, ka eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony tahaka ny habokana izany, dia ho entina ho eo amin’ i Arona mpisorona izy, na ho eo amin’ izay iray amin’ ny mpisorona, zanak’ i Arona;
“When someone has on his skin a swelling or a rash or a shiny/bright spot that may become (contagious/a dreaded skin disease), he must be brought to Aaron or to one of his sons who are also priests.
3 koa raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ny aretina eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofo, ka efa niova ho fotsy ny volo eo amin’ ny aretina, ary efa lalina noho ny hoditry ny nofo no fijeriny ny aretina, dia habokana izany; ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, dia hataony hoe maloto.
The priest must examine that part of the person’s skin. If the hair in that area has become white and it appears that the sore is deeper than just on the skin, it is a contagious skin disease. When the priest sees that, he must declare that the person must stay away from other people [MTY].
4 Fa raha misy mifaritra fotsy mangirana kosa eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony, nefa tsy lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, ary tsy niova ho fotsy ny volony, dia hatokan’ ny mpisorona toerana hafitoana ilay marary.
If the spot on the person’s skin is white but it does not appear that the sore is deeper than just on the skin, the priest must tell him to stay away from other people for seven days.
5 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona amin’ ny andro fahafito izy, ka hitany fa tsy mitombo ny aretina sady tsy manitatra eo amin’ ny hoditra, dia hatokany toerana hafitoana indray izy;
Then the priest must examine the person again. If the priest sees that the sore has not changed and has not spread, he must tell the person to stay away from people for seven more days.
6 ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona indray amin’ ny andro fahafito izy, ka hitany fa matromatroka ny aretina sady tsy manitatra eo amin’ ny hoditra, dia hataony hoe madio izy: manako-pery ihany izany, ka hanasa ny fitafiany izy, dia hadio.
Then the priest must examine him again. If the sore has faded and has not spread, the priest will allow him to be with other people again; it is only a rash. After the person washes his clothes, he will be allowed to be with other people again.
7 Fa raha nanitatra teo amin’ ny hodiny kosa ny manako-pery, taorian’ ny nisehoany tamin’ ny mpisorona ny amin’ ny fanadiovana azy, dia hiseho amin’ ny mpisorona indray izy.
But if the sore spreads after the priest has examined him, he must go to the priest again.
8 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka hitany fa manitatra eo amin’ ny hoditra ny manako-pery, dia hataony hoe maloto izy: habokana izany.
The priest will examine him; and if the sore has spread to more of the skin, it is a contagious skin disease, and the priest will declare that he must stay away from other people.
9 Raha misy habokana amin’ ny olona, dia ho entina any amin’ ny mpisorona izy;
When anyone has a contagious skin disease, he must be brought to the priest.
10 ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka hitany fa misy mamontsina fotsy eo amin’ ny hoditra, sady efa niova ho fotsy ny volo, ary misy nofo mangenahena hita eo amin’ ny mamontsina,
The priest must examine him. And if there is a white swelling in the skin that has caused the hair in that swelling to become white, and if the flesh in that area is painful/sensitive,
11 dia habokana efa ela teo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony izany, ka hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto izy; tsy hatokany toerana akory izy, fa efa maloto.
it is a permanent skin disease, and the priest will declare that he must stay away from other people. The priest does not need to tell that person that he must avoid other people, because other people already are wanting to stay away from him.
12 Ary raha mipoipoitra mihitsy eo amin’ ny hoditra ny habokana, ary manenika ny hoditr’ ilay marary hatramin’ ny lohany ka hatramin’ ny tongony, na aiza na aiza zahan’ ny mpisorona,
‘If the disease spreads all over someone’s body, and the priest examines that person and sees that it is covering his skin from his head to his feet,
13 ary zahan’ ny mpisorona, ka hitany fa manenika ny tenany rehetra ny habokana, dia hataony hoe madio ilay marary; fa efa niova ho fotsy avokoa izy, ka dia madio.
and it has caused all his skin to become white [which will indicate that the disease has ended], the priest will declare that the person does not have to stay away from other people.
14 Fa raha misy nofo mangenahena miseho eo aminy, dia haloto izy.
But if the person has open sores and they are very painful/sensitive, he has a contagious skin disease,
15 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ny nofo mangenahena, dia hataony hoe maloto izy; fa maloto ny nofo mangenahena: habokana izany.
and when the priest sees that, he will declare that the person must stay away from other people.
16 Ary raha miova ny nofo mangenahena ka tonga fotsy, dia hankeo amin’ ny Mpisorona izy;
But if the person’s flesh changes and becomes white, he must go to the priest again.
17 ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ilay marary, ka hitany fa tonga fotsy ny aretina, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio izy, fa efa madio.
The priest must examine him again; and if the sores have become white, the priest will declare that the person who had been infected is now permitted to be with other people again.
18 Ary raha misy fery sitrana eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofo,
‘Then someone has a boil on his skin and it has healed,
19 ary misy fotsy mamontsina eo amin’ ny holatry ny fery, na misy holamena, dia hiseho amin’ ny mpisorona izy.
but in the place where the boil was a white swelling or a bright/shiny spot appears, he must go to the priest.
20 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, ary efa niova ho fotsy ny volony, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto izy: habokana efa mipoitra eo amin’ ny fery izany.
The priest must examine it. And if it seems to be deeper than just on the skin, and if the hair in that spot has become white, it is a contagious skin disease that has appeared where the boil had been. And the priest will declare that the person must stay away from other people.
21 Fa raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka hitany fa tsy misy volo fotsy eo, ary tsy lalina noho ny hoditra izy sady matromatroka ihany, dia hatokan’ ny mpisorona toerana hafitoana izy;
But when the priest examines it, if there is no white hair in that spot and it is only on the surface of the skin and has become less bright/shiny, then the priest will order him to stay away from other people for seven days.
22 ary raha nanitra mihitsy teo amin’ ny hoditra izany, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto izy: habokana izany.
But if it is spreading, it is contagious and the priest will declare that the person must stay away from other people.
23 Fa raha tsy mitombo ny faritra mangirana, ka tsy manitatra, dia fahamaimaizana eo amin’ ny fery izany; ary hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio.
But if that spot is unchanged and has not spread, it is only a scar from the boil, and the priest will declare that the person is permitted to be with other people again.
24 Ary raha misy main’ ny afo eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofo, ary hita ny may, fa mitarehi-kola-mena,
‘Then someone has a burn on his skin and a bright/shiny or white spot appears, and the flesh in that area is sensitive/painful,
25 ary zahan’ ny mpisorona ka hitany fa efa niova ho fotsy ny volo eo amin’ ny itoeran’ ny mifaritra mangirana, ary lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, dia habokana efa mipoipoitra eo amin’ ny may izany, ka hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto, habokana izany.
the priest must examine the spot. If the hair in that spot has turned white and it seems to be deeper than just on the surface of the skin, it is a contagious skin disease that has appeared where the burn was, and that person must stay away from other people.
26 Fa raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka hitany fa tsy misy volo fotsy eo amin’ ny mifaritra mangirana, ary tsy lalina noho ny hoditra izy sady matromatroka ihany, dia hatokan’ ny mpisorona toerana hafitoana izy,
But when the priest examines it and sees that there is no white hair in that spot and it is only on the surface of the skin, and has faded, the priest will declare that the person must stay away from people for seven days.
27 ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona amin’ ny andro fahafito izy, ka nanitatra mihitsy teo amin’ ny hoditra izany, dia hataony hoe maloto: habokana izany.
On the seventh day, the priest will examine him again. If the sore is spreading, it is a contagious skin disease, and the priest will declare that the person must stay away from other people.
28 Ary raha tsy mitombo ny faritra fotsy mangirana ka tsy nanitatra teo amin’ ny hoditra, fa matromatroka ihany, dia mamontsina eo amin’ ny may izany; ary hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio izy fa fahamaimaizana ihany izany.
However, if the spot is not changed and has not spread but has faded, it is only a scar from the burn, and the priest will declare that the person is permitted to be with other people again.
29 Ary raha misy lehilahy na vehivavy manana aretina eo amin’ ny lohany na eo amin’ ny saokany,
‘If a man or a woman has a sore on his head or on his chin,
30 ary zahan’ ny mpisorona ny aretina, ka lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, ary misy volo madinika tomamotamo eo, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto izy, olona kongonina izany, dia habokana eo amin’ ny loha na eo amin’ ny saoka izy.
the priest must examine it. If it appears to be deeper than [just on the surface of] the skin, and the hair in that spot has thinned out and has become yellowish, it is a contagious skin disease that causes itching. And the priest will declare that the person must stay away from other people.
31 Fa raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ny kongonina, ka tsy lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, nefa tsy misy volo mainty eo, dia hatokany toerana hafitoana ilay olona kongonina.
But when the priest examines that kind of sore, if it seems to be only on the surface of the skin and there is no healthy hair in it, the priest will tell the person to stay away from other people for seven days.
32 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ny aretina amin’ ny andro fahafito, ka hitany fa tsy nanitatra ny aretina, atỳ tsy misy volo tomamotamo eo, ary tsy lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy,
On the seventh day, the priest will examine the sore again. If it has not spread and if there is no yellow hair in that spot and if it appears to be only on the surface of the skin,
33 dia hiharatra izy, fa ny misy ny aretina tsy hoharatany; ary hatokan’ ny mpisorona toerana hafitoana indray ilay olona kongonina.
the person must shave the hair near the sore but not the hair on the sore. And the priest will tell him to stay away from other people for seven more days.
34 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona amin’ ny andro fahafito ny kongonina, ka hitany fa tsy nanitatra teo amin’ ny hoditra ny aretina, ary tsy lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio izy; ary hanasa ny fitafiany izy, dia hadio.
On the seventh day, the priest will examine that spot again. If it has not spread and it appears to be only on the surface of the skin, the priest will declare that the person is permitted to be with people again. The person must wash his clothes, and then he can be with other people.
35 Fa raha nanitatra teo amin’ ny hoditra mihitsy ny aretina, rehefa natao hoe madio izy,
But if the sore later spreads,
36 dia hozahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka raha nitany fa nanitatra teo amin’ ny hoditra ny aretina, dia tsy hitady ny volo tomamotamo intsony ny mpisorona; efa maloto izy.
the priest must examine him again. If the itch/sore has spread, the priest does not need to look for yellow hair, because it is clear that the person has a contagious skin disease.
37 Nefa raha hitany fa tsy mitombo ny aretina, ka misy volo mainty maniry eo, dia sitrana ny kongonina, ka madio izy; ary hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio.
However, if the priest thinks that the spot has not changed, and healthy hair is growing in that area, it is clear that the itch has healed, and the priest will declare that the person is permitted to be with other people again.
38 Ary raha misy lehilahy na vehivavy misy mifaritra mangirana eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony, dia mifaritra fotsy mangirana,
‘Then a man or a woman has white spots on the skin,
39 ary zahan’ ny mpisorona, ka hitany fa misy mifaritra fotsy eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony mangirana, nefa matromatroka, dia aretina mamentimpetina fotsy mipoipoitra eo amin’ ny hoditra izany, madio izany.
the priest should examine them. But if the spots are dull white, it is only a rash, and [the priest will declare that] the person is permitted to be with other people.
40 Ary ny amin’ ny lehilahy mihintsam-bolon-doha, dia sola ihany izy ka madio.
‘If a man loses the hair on any part of his head, he does not need to stay away from other people.
41 Ary raha mihintsana ny volony eo ambonin’ ny handriny, dia mazavaray ihany izy ka madio.
42 Fa raha misy aretina tera-mena sady fotsy, na eo amin’ ny loha sola, na eo amin’ ny mazavaray, dia boka mipoipoitra amin’ ny loha sola, na amin’ ny mazavaray izany
But if he gets a bright/shiny sore on his bald head or on his forehead, he has a contagious skin disease.
43 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy ka hitany fa tera-mena somary fotsy no famontsin’ ny aretina eo amin’ ny loha sola, na eo amin’ ny mazavaray, tahaka ny fisehon’ ny habokana eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofo,
The priest must examine him. If the swollen sore is a bright spot like [the spot on someone who has] a contagious skin disease,
44 dia lehilahy boka izy ka maloto; hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto tokoa izy: eo amin’ ny lohany ny aretina.
the priest will declare that the man has a contagious skin disease and must not be with other people.
45 Ary ny amin’ izay efa boka mihitsy, dia lamba triatra no ho fitafiany, ary hirakaraka ny volony, dia hisarom-bava izy sady hiantsoantso hoe: Maloto e! maloto e!
‘Anyone who has a contagious skin disease must wear torn clothes and not comb his hair. [When he is near other people], he must cover the lower part to his face and call out, “Do not come near me! I have a contagious skin disease!”
46 Amin’ ny andro rehetra izay haharariany amin’ izany aretina izany dia haloto izy; eny, maloto izy, dia hitoetra mitokana, ka eny ivelan’ ny toby no itoerany.
He is not allowed to be with other people as long as he has the disease. He must live alone, outside the camp.’”
47 Amin’ ny fitafiana izay misy habokana, na fitafiana volon’ ondry, na fitafiana rongony,
“Sometimes a person’s clothing gets mildew on it. It may be clothing that is woven from wool or made from linen or from leather.
If the contaminated/mildewed part is greenish or reddish, it is a spreading mildew, and it must be shown to the priest.
50 Ary hozahan’ ny mpisorona ny aretina ka hatokana toerana hafitoana ilay zavatra misy azy.
The priest will examine it, and then put it in a separate place by itself for seven days.
51 Ary raha zahany ny aretina amin’ ny andro fahafito, ka nanitatra teo amin’ ny fitafiana ny aretina, na teo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na teo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, dia habokana mafy izany, ka dia maloto.
On the seventh day he must examine it again. If the mildew has spread, it is clear that it is a type of mildew that destroys clothing, and that clothing must not be worn again.
The owner must burn completely the item that has the mildew in it, whatever kind of item it is.
53 Ary raha mizaha azy ny mpisorona, ka hitany fa ny aretina tsy nanitatra teo amin’ ny fitafiana, na teo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na teo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra,
But when the priest examines it, if the mildew has not spread,
54 dia hasain’ mpisorona hosasana izay misy izany, ary hatokana toerana hafitoana indray izy;
he will tell the person [who owns it] to wash it. Then he must put it in a separate place for another seven days.
55 ary rehefa voasasa izy, dia hozahan’ ny mpisorona indray ny aretina; ka raha hitany fa tsy niova tarehy ny aretina, na dia tsy nanitatra aza, dia maloto izy ka hodoranao amin’ ny afo; aretina mafy izany, na amin’ ny atiny, na amin’ ny ivelany.
Then the priest will examine it again. If the color of the mildew has not changed, even though it has not spread, that item must not be worn again. It does not matter if the mildew is on the inside of the clothing or on the outside; it must be burned.
56 Fa raha mizaha azy ny mpisorona, ka hitany fa matromatroka ny aretina, rehefa voasasa izy, dia hesorina ho afaka amin’ ny fitafiana ny misy izany, na ho afaka amin’ ny hoditra, na ho afaka amin’ ny tenany, na izay ho fahany.
But when the priest examines it [after it has been washed], if the mildew has faded, he must tear out that part that had the mildew in it.
57 Ary raha mbola misy miseho eo amin’ ny fitafiana indray izy, na eo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na eo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, dia aretina mipoipoitra izany, ka hodorana amin’ ny afo izay misy izany.
But if the mildew reappears in that item, it is clear that it is spreading, and the whole item must be burned.
58 Ary ny fitafiana, na izay ho an’ ny tenany, na izay ho fahany, na izay zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, izay hosasanao, raha afaka taminy ny aretina, dia hosasana fanindroany izy ka hadio.
But after the clothing is washed and the mildew disappears, it must be washed again, and then it can be worn again.
59 Izany no lalàna ny amin’ ny habokana eo amin’ ny fitafiana volon’ ondry na rongony, na eo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na eo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, hanaovana azy hoe madio, na hanaovana azy hoe maloto.
Those are the regulations concerning mildew on things made of wool or linen or leather, for deciding whether those things can continue to be worn or not.”
