< Levitikosy 13 >

1 Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Mosesy sy Arona ka nanao hoe:
The Lord told Moses and Aaron,
2 Raha misy mamontsina eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofon’ ny olona, na misy manako-pery na misy mifaritra mangirana, ka eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony tahaka ny habokana izany, dia ho entina ho eo amin’ i Arona mpisorona izy, na ho eo amin’ izay iray amin’ ny mpisorona, zanak’ i Arona;
“Anyone who has a swelling, a rash, or a spot on the skin that may be an infectious skin disease must be taken to Aaron the priest or to one of his descendants.
3 koa raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ny aretina eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofo, ka efa niova ho fotsy ny volo eo amin’ ny aretina, ary efa lalina noho ny hoditry ny nofo no fijeriny ny aretina, dia habokana izany; ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, dia hataony hoe maloto.
The priest will inspect whatever is on the skin. If the hair there has turned white and if the issue seems to be more than something on the surface, it is a serious skin disease, and the priest who inspects it will declare the person unclean.
4 Fa raha misy mifaritra fotsy mangirana kosa eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony, nefa tsy lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, ary tsy niova ho fotsy ny volony, dia hatokan’ ny mpisorona toerana hafitoana ilay marary.
But if the spot is only a white discoloration and doesn't seem to be more than superficial, and if the hair on the spot has not turned white, the priest will place the person in isolation for seven days.
5 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona amin’ ny andro fahafito izy, ka hitany fa tsy mitombo ny aretina sady tsy manitatra eo amin’ ny hoditra, dia hatokany toerana hafitoana indray izy;
On the seventh day the priest will conduct another inspection, and if he discovers that the spot hasn't changed and hasn't spread on the skin, the priest must place the person in isolation for another seven days.
6 ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona indray amin’ ny andro fahafito izy, ka hitany fa matromatroka ny aretina sady tsy manitatra eo amin’ ny hoditra, dia hataony hoe madio izy: manako-pery ihany izany, ka hanasa ny fitafiany izy, dia hadio.
On the seventh day after this the priest will inspect it again. If the spot has faded and has not spread on the skin, the priest will declare the person clean since it was a rash. They must wash their clothes and will be clean.
7 Fa raha nanitatra teo amin’ ny hodiny kosa ny manako-pery, taorian’ ny nisehoany tamin’ ny mpisorona ny amin’ ny fanadiovana azy, dia hiseho amin’ ny mpisorona indray izy.
However, if the rash does spread after the person has been inspected by the priest and has been declared clean, the person must go back to be inspected again.
8 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka hitany fa manitatra eo amin’ ny hoditra ny manako-pery, dia hataony hoe maloto izy: habokana izany.
If the priest discovers that the rash has spread, he must declare the person unclean because it is certainly a skin disease.
9 Raha misy habokana amin’ ny olona, dia ho entina any amin’ ny mpisorona izy;
Anyone who develops an infectious skin disease must be taken to the priest.
10 ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka hitany fa misy mamontsina fotsy eo amin’ ny hoditra, sady efa niova ho fotsy ny volo, ary misy nofo mangenahena hita eo amin’ ny mamontsina,
The priest will inspect them, and if there is a white swelling on the skin and the hair there has turned white, and there is an open wound in the swelling,
11 dia habokana efa ela teo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony izany, ka hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto izy; tsy hatokany toerana akory izy, fa efa maloto.
it is a serious skin disease and the priest must declare them unclean. He doesn't need to place the person in isolation because they are unclean.
12 Ary raha mipoipoitra mihitsy eo amin’ ny hoditra ny habokana, ary manenika ny hoditr’ ilay marary hatramin’ ny lohany ka hatramin’ ny tongony, na aiza na aiza zahan’ ny mpisorona,
However, if the skin disease affects all their skin so that it covers their skin from head to toe, everywhere the priest can see,
13 ary zahan’ ny mpisorona, ka hitany fa manenika ny tenany rehetra ny habokana, dia hataony hoe madio ilay marary; fa efa niova ho fotsy avokoa izy, ka dia madio.
the priest shall inspect them, and if the disease has covered their entire body, he will declare the person clean. As it has all turned white, they are clean.
14 Fa raha misy nofo mangenahena miseho eo aminy, dia haloto izy.
But if when someone's inspected an open wound is found, they will be unclean.
15 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ny nofo mangenahena, dia hataony hoe maloto izy; fa maloto ny nofo mangenahena: habokana izany.
When the priest discovers an open wound, he must declare the person unclean. The open wound is unclean; it is an infectious skin disease.
16 Ary raha miova ny nofo mangenahena ka tonga fotsy, dia hankeo amin’ ny Mpisorona izy;
But if the open wound heals and becomes white, the person must go back to the priest.
17 ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ilay marary, ka hitany fa tonga fotsy ny aretina, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio izy, fa efa madio.
The priest will inspect them again, and if the wound has turned white, the priest is to declare the person clean; then they are clean.
18 Ary raha misy fery sitrana eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofo,
When a boil comes up on someone's skin and then it heals,
19 ary misy fotsy mamontsina eo amin’ ny holatry ny fery, na misy holamena, dia hiseho amin’ ny mpisorona izy.
and a white swelling or a reddish-white spot appears in its place, they must show themselves to the priest.
20 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, ary efa niova ho fotsy ny volony, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto izy: habokana efa mipoitra eo amin’ ny fery izany.
The priest shall inspect it, and if it seems to be more than something on the surface, and if the hair there has turned white, the priest shall declare him unclean. It is a serious skin disease that has infected the boil.
21 Fa raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka hitany fa tsy misy volo fotsy eo, ary tsy lalina noho ny hoditra izy sady matromatroka ihany, dia hatokan’ ny mpisorona toerana hafitoana izy;
However, if when the priest inspects it, it doesn't have white hair in it and doesn't seem to be more than superficial, and has faded, the priest is to place the person in isolation for seven days.
22 ary raha nanitra mihitsy teo amin’ ny hoditra izany, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto izy: habokana izany.
If then the spot has spread further on the skin, the priest will declare them unclean; it is a disease.
23 Fa raha tsy mitombo ny faritra mangirana, ka tsy manitatra, dia fahamaimaizana eo amin’ ny fery izany; ary hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio.
But if the spot stays the same and doesn't spread, it's just the scar from the boil, and the priest will declare them clean.
24 Ary raha misy main’ ny afo eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofo, ary hita ny may, fa mitarehi-kola-mena,
If someone has a burn on their skin and where it's raw changes into a reddish-white or white spot,
25 ary zahan’ ny mpisorona ka hitany fa efa niova ho fotsy ny volo eo amin’ ny itoeran’ ny mifaritra mangirana, ary lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, dia habokana efa mipoipoitra eo amin’ ny may izany, ka hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto, habokana izany.
the priest must inspect it. If the hair in the spot has turned white and the spot seems to be more than something on the surface, it is a serious skin disease that has infected the burn, and the priest who inspects it will declare the person unclean. It is an infectious skin disease.
26 Fa raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka hitany fa tsy misy volo fotsy eo amin’ ny mifaritra mangirana, ary tsy lalina noho ny hoditra izy sady matromatroka ihany, dia hatokan’ ny mpisorona toerana hafitoana izy,
However, if when the priest inspects it, it doesn't have white hair in it and doesn't seem to be more than superficial, and has faded, the priest is to place the person in isolation for seven days.
27 ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona amin’ ny andro fahafito izy, ka nanitatra mihitsy teo amin’ ny hoditra izany, dia hataony hoe maloto: habokana izany.
On the seventh day the priest will inspect the person again. If then the spot has spread further on the skin, the priest will declare them unclean; it is a serious skin disease.
28 Ary raha tsy mitombo ny faritra fotsy mangirana ka tsy nanitatra teo amin’ ny hoditra, fa matromatroka ihany, dia mamontsina eo amin’ ny may izany; ary hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio izy fa fahamaimaizana ihany izany.
But if the spot stays the same and hasn't spread on the skin, but has faded, it's the swelling from the burn, and the priest will declare them clean because it's just the scar from the burn.
29 Ary raha misy lehilahy na vehivavy manana aretina eo amin’ ny lohany na eo amin’ ny saokany,
If someone, man or woman, has a sore on the head or chin,
30 ary zahan’ ny mpisorona ny aretina, ka lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, ary misy volo madinika tomamotamo eo, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto izy, olona kongonina izany, dia habokana eo amin’ ny loha na eo amin’ ny saoka izy.
the priest shall inspect it, and if it appears to be more than superficial and the hair in it has become pale and thin, the priest must declare them unclean; it is an infection producing scabs, a serious disease of the head or chin.
31 Fa raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ny kongonina, ka tsy lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, nefa tsy misy volo mainty eo, dia hatokany toerana hafitoana ilay olona kongonina.
However, if the priest inspects the scabby infection and it doesn't seem to be more than superficial and has no pale hair in it, the priest is to place the person in isolation for seven days.
32 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona ny aretina amin’ ny andro fahafito, ka hitany fa tsy nanitatra ny aretina, atỳ tsy misy volo tomamotamo eo, ary tsy lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy,
On the seventh day the priest will inspect the person again and if the scabby infection has not spread and there is no pale hair in it, and it doesn't seem to be more than superficial,
33 dia hiharatra izy, fa ny misy ny aretina tsy hoharatany; ary hatokan’ ny mpisorona toerana hafitoana indray ilay olona kongonina.
then the person must shave themselves except for the scaly area. The priest is to place the person in isolation for another seven days.
34 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona amin’ ny andro fahafito ny kongonina, ka hitany fa tsy nanitatra teo amin’ ny hoditra ny aretina, ary tsy lalina noho ny hoditra no fijeriny azy, dia hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio izy; ary hanasa ny fitafiany izy, dia hadio.
On the seventh day the priest will inspect the scabby infection, and if it has not spread on the skin and doesn't seem to be more than superficial, the priest is to pronounce the person clean. They must wash their clothes and will be clean.
35 Fa raha nanitatra teo amin’ ny hoditra mihitsy ny aretina, rehefa natao hoe madio izy,
However, if the scabby infection has spread on the skin after been declared clean,
36 dia hozahan’ ny mpisorona izy, ka raha nitany fa nanitatra teo amin’ ny hoditra ny aretina, dia tsy hitady ny volo tomamotamo intsony ny mpisorona; efa maloto izy.
the priest must inspect them, and if the scabby infection has indeed spread on the skin, the priest doesn't need to check for pale hair; the person is unclean.
37 Nefa raha hitany fa tsy mitombo ny aretina, ka misy volo mainty maniry eo, dia sitrana ny kongonina, ka madio izy; ary hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe madio.
But if the priest sees that the scabby infection hasn't changed, and black hair has grown in it, then it has healed. The person is clean, and the priest must declare it.
38 Ary raha misy lehilahy na vehivavy misy mifaritra mangirana eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony, dia mifaritra fotsy mangirana,
If someone, man or woman, has white spots on the skin,
39 ary zahan’ ny mpisorona, ka hitany fa misy mifaritra fotsy eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofony mangirana, nefa matromatroka, dia aretina mamentimpetina fotsy mipoipoitra eo amin’ ny hoditra izany, madio izany.
the priest shall inspect them, and if the spots appear a dull white, it's just a rash that has developed on the skin; the person is clean.
40 Ary ny amin’ ny lehilahy mihintsam-bolon-doha, dia sola ihany izy ka madio.
If a man loses his hair and goes bald, he is still clean.
41 Ary raha mihintsana ny volony eo ambonin’ ny handriny, dia mazavaray ihany izy ka madio.
If he has a receding hairline and he goes bald on his forehead, he is still clean.
42 Fa raha misy aretina tera-mena sady fotsy, na eo amin’ ny loha sola, na eo amin’ ny mazavaray, dia boka mipoipoitra amin’ ny loha sola, na amin’ ny mazavaray izany
But if a reddish-white sore appears on his bald head or forehead, it is an infectious disease developing.
43 Ary raha zahan’ ny mpisorona izy ka hitany fa tera-mena somary fotsy no famontsin’ ny aretina eo amin’ ny loha sola, na eo amin’ ny mazavaray, tahaka ny fisehon’ ny habokana eo amin’ ny hoditry ny nofo,
The priest must inspect him, and if the swelling of the sore on his bald head or forehead looks reddish-white like a skin disease,
44 dia lehilahy boka izy ka maloto; hataon’ ny mpisorona hoe maloto tokoa izy: eo amin’ ny lohany ny aretina.
then he is has an infectious disease; he is unclean. The priest must declare him unclean because of the infection on his head.
45 Ary ny amin’ izay efa boka mihitsy, dia lamba triatra no ho fitafiany, ary hirakaraka ny volony, dia hisarom-bava izy sady hiantsoantso hoe: Maloto e! maloto e!
Anyone who has such diseases must wear clothes that are torn and let their hair remain uncombed. They must cover their faces and shout out, ‘Unclean, unclean!’
46 Amin’ ny andro rehetra izay haharariany amin’ izany aretina izany dia haloto izy; eny, maloto izy, dia hitoetra mitokana, ka eny ivelan’ ny toby no itoerany.
They remain unclean as long as the infection lasts. They have to live alone somewhere outside the camp.
47 Amin’ ny fitafiana izay misy habokana, na fitafiana volon’ ondry, na fitafiana rongony,
The following regulations relate to any material that becomes affected by mold, such as wool or linen clothing,
48 sy izay ho an’ ny tenany, na izay ho fahany, na rongony, na volon’ ondry, ary ny hoditra, na izay zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra,
anything woven or knitted made from linen or wool, or anything made of leather:
49 raha maitsomaitso na menamena eo amin’ ny fitafiana ny aretina, na eo amin’ ny hoditra, na eo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na eo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, dia habokana izany ka haseho amin’ ny mpisorona.
If the spot is green or red on the material, whether it's leather, woven, or knitted or some other leather item, then it is infected with mold and must be shown to the priest.
50 Ary hozahan’ ny mpisorona ny aretina ka hatokana toerana hafitoana ilay zavatra misy azy.
The priest must inspect the mold and place the item in isolation for seven days.
51 Ary raha zahany ny aretina amin’ ny andro fahafito, ka nanitatra teo amin’ ny fitafiana ny aretina, na teo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na teo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, dia habokana mafy izany, ka dia maloto.
On the seventh day the priest shall inspect it again, and if the patch of mold has spread in the material, whether it's leather, woven, or knitted or some other leather item, then it is a harmful mold; the article is unclean, whatever it is being used for.
The priest is to burn it, whether the affected item is wool or linen or leather. Because the mold is harmful, the article must be burned.
53 Ary raha mizaha azy ny mpisorona, ka hitany fa ny aretina tsy nanitatra teo amin’ ny fitafiana, na teo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na teo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra,
However, if when the priest inspects it again it, the patch mold has not spread,
54 dia hasain’ mpisorona hosasana izay misy izany, ary hatokana toerana hafitoana indray izy;
the priest shall order that the affected item is washed and placed in isolation for another seven days.
55 ary rehefa voasasa izy, dia hozahan’ ny mpisorona indray ny aretina; ka raha hitany fa tsy niova tarehy ny aretina, na dia tsy nanitatra aza, dia maloto izy ka hodoranao amin’ ny afo; aretina mafy izany, na amin’ ny atiny, na amin’ ny ivelany.
Once it has been washed, the priest is to inspect again it, and if the item with the mold hasn't changed how it looks, it is unclean. Though the mold hasn't spread, you must burn the item, whether the mold damage is on the inside or the outside.
56 Fa raha mizaha azy ny mpisorona, ka hitany fa matromatroka ny aretina, rehefa voasasa izy, dia hesorina ho afaka amin’ ny fitafiana ny misy izany, na ho afaka amin’ ny hoditra, na ho afaka amin’ ny tenany, na izay ho fahany.
If the priest inspects it and the patch of mold has faded after it has been washed, he is to cut out the affected part the material, whether it's leather, woven, or knitted.
57 Ary raha mbola misy miseho eo amin’ ny fitafiana indray izy, na eo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na eo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, dia aretina mipoipoitra izany, ka hodorana amin’ ny afo izay misy izany.
However, if the mold comes back then it is spreading. In that case you must burn the affected item.
58 Ary ny fitafiana, na izay ho an’ ny tenany, na izay ho fahany, na izay zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, izay hosasanao, raha afaka taminy ny aretina, dia hosasana fanindroany izy ka hadio.
If the mold disappears after washing, then have it washed again, and it will be clean.
59 Izany no lalàna ny amin’ ny habokana eo amin’ ny fitafiana volon’ ondry na rongony, na eo amin’ izay ho tenany, na izay ho fahany, na eo amin’ ny zavatra natao tamin’ ny hoditra, hanaovana azy hoe madio, na hanaovana azy hoe maloto.
These are the regulations regarding what needs to be done when mold contaminates wool or linen material, whether woven or knitted, or any leather item, as to declaring it clean or unclean.”
