L’Éternel appela Moïse, et lui parla, de la Tente d’assignation, en ces termes:
2 Mitenena amin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely hoe: Raha misy aminareo manatitra biby fiompy ho fanatitra ho an’ i Jehovah, dia omby na ondry na osy no haterinareo ho fanatitrareo.
"Parle aux enfants d’Israël et dis-leur: Si quelqu’un d’entre vous veut présenter au Seigneur une offrande de bétail, c’est dans le gros ou le menu bétail que vous pourrez choisir votre offrande.
3 Raha omby no ateriny ho fanatitra dorana, dia lahy tsy misy kilema no hateriny; eo anoloan’ ny varavaran’ ny trano-lay fihaonana no hanaterany azy, mba hankasitrahana eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah izy.
Si cette offrande est un holocauste pris dans le gros bétail, il l’offrira mâle, sans défaut. Il le présentera au seuil de la Tente d’assignation, pour être agréable au Seigneur.
4 Ary hametraka ny tànany eo amin’ ny lohan’ ny fanatitra dorana izy, dia hahazoany fankasitrahana izany, hanaovana fanavotana ho azy.
Il appuiera sa main sur la tête de la victime, et elle sera agréée en sa faveur pour lui obtenir propitiation.
5 Dia hamono ny zanak’ omby eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah izy; ary ireo mpisorona, zanak’ i Arona, dia hanatitra ny rà ka hanopy azy manodidina amin’ ny lafin’ ny alitara, izay eo anoloan’ ny varavaran’ ny trano-lay fihaonana;
On immolera le taureau devant le Seigneur; les fils d’Aaron, les pontifes, offriront le sang, dont ils aspergeront le tour de l’autel qui est à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation.
6 ary hohodirany ny fanatitra dorana, dia horasainy tsara.
Alors on dépouillera la victime, et on la dépècera par quartiers.
7 Ary ireo zanak’ i Arona mpisorona dia hanisy afo eo ambonin’ ny alitara ka handahatra kitay eo amin’ ny afo.
Les fils d’Aaron le pontife mettront du feu sur l’autel, et disposeront du bois sur ce feu;
8 Ary ireo mpisorona, zanak’ i Arona, dia handahatra ny voarasa mbamin’ ny lohany sy ny saborany eo ambonin’ ny kitay eo amin’ ny afo izay eo ambonin’ ny alitara;
puis les fils d’Aaron, les pontifes, arrangeront les membres, la tête et la graisse sur le bois, disposé sur le feu qui sera sur l’autel.
9 fa ny taovany, sy ny tongony kosa hosasany amin’ ny rano; dia hodoran’ ny mpisorona ho fofona izy rehetra eo ambonin’ ny alitara; fanatitra dorana izany, dia fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho hanitra ankasitrahana ho an’ i Jehovah.
On lavera dans l’eau les intestins et les jambes; alors le pontife fera fumer le tout sur l’autel comme holocauste, combustion d’une odeur agréable au Seigneur.
10 Ary raha ondry na osy no ateriny ho fanatitra dorana, dia lahy tsy misy kilema koa no hateriny.
Si l’offrande destinée à l’holocauste provient du menu bétail, des brebis ou des chèvres, on la présentera mâle, sans défaut.
11 Dia hamono azy eo avaratry ny alitara eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah izy; ary ireo mpisorona, zanak’ i Arona, dia hanopy ny rà manodidina amin’ ny lafin’ ny alitara.
On l’immolera au côté nord de l’autel, devant le Seigneur; et les fils d’Aaron, les pontifes, aspergeront de son sang le tour de l’autel.
12 Dia horasainy tsara izy mbamin’ ny lohany sy ny saborany; ary halahatry ny mpisorona eo ambonin’ ny kitay izy eo amin’ ny afo izay eo ambonin’ ny alitara;
On la dépècera par quartiers, séparant là tête et la graisse; le pontife les arrangera sur le bois, disposé sur le feu qui sera sur l’autel.
13 fa ny taovany sy ny tongony kosa hosasany amin’ ny rano; dia ho entin’ ny mpisorona izy rehetra ka hodorany ho fofona eo ambonin’ ny alitara; ho fanatitra dorana izany, dia fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho hanitra ankasitrahana ho an’ i Jehovah.

14 Ary raha vorona no ateriny ho an’ i Jehovah ho fanatitra dorana, dia domohina na zana-boromailala no hateriny ho fanatiny.
Si c’est un oiseau qu’on veut offrir en holocauste au Seigneur, qu’on choisisse l’offrande parmi les tourterelles ou les jeunes colombes.
15 Ary haterin’ ny mpisorona ho eo amin’ ny alitara izany, ka hotapahiny amin’ ny hoho ny lohany, dia hodorany ho fofona eo ambonin’ ny alitara, ary hofiazany eo amin’ ny rindrin’ ny alitara ny ràny;
Le pontife la présentera à l’autel et lui rompra la tête, qu’il fera fumer sur l’autel après que son sang aura été exprimé sur la paroi de l’autel.
16 ary hesoriny ny takorobabony sy ny ao anatiny, ka hariany eo atsinanan’ ny alitara, dia eo amin’ ny fitoeran-davenona;
Il enlèvera le jabot avec ses plumes, et le jettera à côté de l’autel, à l’orient, dans le dépôt des cendres.
17 ary hosamahany amin’ ny elany no fameraka azy, fa tsy hohenteriny; ary ny mpisorona handoro azy ho fofona eo ambonin’ ny alitara, ambonin’ ny kitay izay eo amin’ ny afo; fanatitra dorana izany, dia fanatitra atao amin’ ny afo ho hanitra ankasitrahana ho an’ i Jehovah.
Alors le pontife ouvrira l’oiseau du côté des ailes, sans les détacher, puis le fera fumer sur l’autel, sur le bois du brasier. Ce sera un holocauste, combustion d’une odeur agréable au Seigneur.
