< Joba 6 >
1 Dia namaly Joba ka nanao hoe:
And Job answers and says:
2 Enga anie ka holanjaina tokoa ny fahasosorako, ka hampifandaniaina amin’ ny mizana izy sy ny fahoriako!
“O that my provocation were thoroughly weighed, And my calamity in balances They would lift up together!
3 Fa ankehitriny mavesatra noho ny fasika any an-dranomasina ny fahoriako, koa dia nirediredy aho.
For now it is heavier than the sands of the sea, Therefore my words have been rash.
4 Fa ny zana-tsipiky ny Tsitoha mitsatoka amiko, ka mifoka ny poizina avy aminy ny fanahiko; Ary ny fampitahorana Andriamanitra milahatra hamely ahy.
For arrows of the Mighty [are] with me, Whose poison is drinking up my spirit. Terrors of God array themselves [for] me!
5 Maneno va ny boriki-dia, raha eo amin’ ny vilona? Na mimàmà va ny omby, raha eo amin’ ny fihinany?
Does a wild donkey bray over tender grass? Does an ox low over his provender?
6 Azo hanina va ny matsatso, raha tsy asian-tsira? Na mba misy tsirony va ny tafotsin’ atody?
Is an insipid thing eaten without salt? Is there sense in the drivel of dreams?
7 Ny zavatra izay nolaviko tsy hotendrena, dia ireny no tsy maintsy haniko, na dia maharikoriko ahy aza.
My soul is refusing to touch! They [are] as my sickening food.
8 Enga anie ka ho azoko izay angatahiko, ary homen’ Andriamanitra ahy anie izay iriko!
O that my request may come, That God may grant my hope!
9 Ka ho sitrak’ Andriamanitra anie ny hanorotoro ahy! Eny, halefany anie ny tànany ka hahamaito ny aiko,
That God would please—and bruise me, Loose His hand and cut me off!
10 Dia hahita fiononana amin’ izany aho ka hiravoravo na dia amin’ ny fangirifiriana tsy mifaditrovana aza, satria tsy nandà ny tenin’ ny Iray Masìna aho.
And yet it is my comfort (And I exult in pain—He does not spare), That I have not hidden The sayings of the Holy One.
11 Inona moa ny heriko, no hanantena aho? Ary hanao ahoana moa ny farako, no hanindry fo aho?
What [is] my power that I should hope? And what [is] my end that I should prolong my life?
12 Herim-bato va ny heriko? Na varahina va ny nofoko?
Is my strength the strength of stones? Is my flesh bronze?
13 Tsy efa foana va ny hery ho entiko mamonjy tena, ary tsy efa nakifika hiala amiko va ny faharetana?
Is my help not with me, And substance driven from me?
14 Izay efa mivarahontsana dia tokony hiantran’ ny sakaizany. Fandrao mahafoy ny fahatahorana ny Tsitoha izy.
To a despiser of his friends [is] shame, And the fear of the Mighty he forsakes.
15 Ny rahalahiko mampihambo manana ahy tahaka ny ranotrambo, dia tahaka ny mason-drano any an-dohasahan-driaka, izay malaky ritra,
My brothers have deceived as a brook, As a stream of brooks they pass away.
16 Izay mainty azon’ ny ranomandry Sady iafenan’ ny oram-panala;
That are black because of ice, By them snow hides itself.
17 Fa raha taninin’ ny hainandro izy, dia levona; raha maina ny andro, dia ritra eo amin’ ny fitoerany izy;
By the time they are warm they have been cut off, By its being hot they have been Extinguished from their place.
18 Mivilivily no fandehany tankina izy ka levona.
The paths turn aside of their way, They ascend into emptiness, and are lost.
19 Ny antokon’ i Tema mitazana, ny andian’ i Sheba manantena azy;
Passengers of Tema looked expectingly, Travelers of Sheba hoped for them.
20 Very hevitra ireo, satria samy nanampo; tonga teo izy, kanjo nangaihay.
They were ashamed that one has trusted, They have come to it and are confounded.
21 Fa ankehitriny efa tsinontsinona ianareo; Nahita ny fahoriana ianareo ka raiki-tahotra.
Surely now you have become the same! You see a downfall, and are afraid.
22 Moa aho va efa nanao hoe: Omeo aho, ka mahafoiza zavatra ho ahy amin’ ny fanananareo,
Is it because I said, Give to me? And, By your power bribe for me?
23 Ary vonjeo amin’ ny tanan’ ny fahavalo aho, ka afaho amin’ ny tanan’ ny mpitohatoha?
And, Deliver me from the hand of an adversary? And, Ransom me from the hand of terrible ones?
24 Mampianara ahy, dia hangina aho; Ary ampahafantaro izay nahadisoako aho.
Show me, and I keep silent, And what I have erred, let me understand.
25 Endrey ny herin’ ny teny marina! Fa mba mahavoa inona kosa moa ny anatra ataonareo?
How powerful have been upright sayings, And what reproof from you reproves?
26 Ny amin’ ny teniko ihany va no ananaranareo ahy? Fa ho amin’ ny rivotra ny tenin’ ny olona mamoy fo.
For reproof—do you reckon words? And for wind—sayings of the desperate?
27 Eny, fa na dia ny kamboty aza dia ataonareo loka, ary ny sakaizanareo dia ataonareo varotra.
You cause anger to fall on the fatherless, And are strange to your friend.
28 Fa ankehitriny, masìna ianareo, mba atreho kely aho, dia ho hitanareo fa tsy handainga tsy akory aho.
And now, please, look on me, Even to your face do I lie?
29 Masìna ianareo, diniho indray aho, ary aoka tsy hisy fitsarana tsy marina; eny, diniho indray aho, fa mbola ao ihany ny fahamarinako.
Please turn back, let it not be perverseness, Indeed, turn back again—my righteousness [is] in it.
30 Moa misy heloka va eo amin’ ny lelako?
Is there perverseness in my tongue? Does my palate not discern calamity?”
