< Joba 39 >
1 Fantatrao va ny fotoana fiterahan’ ny osi-dia any amin’ ny harambato? Voahevitrao va ny fiterahan’ ny dieravavy?
Knowest thou the season when the Wild Goats of the crags beget? The bringing forth of the hinds, canst thou observe?
2 Mahisa ny andro ahatanterahany va ianao? Ary fantatrao va ny fotoana fiterahany?
Canst thou count the months they fulfil? Or knowest thou the time when they give birth?
3 Miondrika izy ka teraka, sady alefany ny faharariany.
They kneel down, their young, they bring forth; their pains, they throw off;
4 Donga ny zanany, mihalehibe any an-efitra ireny; Mivoaka izy ka tsy mety miverina intsony.
Their young become strong, they grow up in the open field, they go out, and return not unto them.
5 Iza moa no nandefa ny boriki-dia ho karenjy? Ary iza no namaha ny fatoran’ ny boriki-dia,
Who hath sent forth the Wild Ass free? And, the bands of the swift-runner, who hath loosed?
6 Izay nomeko ny tani’ hay ho fitoerany ary ny tanin-tsira ho fonenany?
Whose house I have made the waste plain, and his dwellings, the land of salt:
7 Ihomehezany ny fitabatabana ao an-tanàna; Tsy ahoany akory ny fiantsoantson’ ny mpampandeha;
He laugheth at the throng of the city, The shoutings of the driver, he heareth not;
8 Any an-tendrombohitra rehetra any no fihinanany, ary mitady ny zava-maitso rehetra izy.
He espieth the mountains, his pasture-ground, and, after every green thing, maketh search.
9 Mba mety manompo anao va ny ombimanga na handry ao am-pahitrao amin’ ny alina?
Will the Wild-Ox be pleased to be thy servant? or lodge for the night by thy crib?
10 Mahafatotra ny ombimanga amin’ ny mahazaka ho ao am-bavasanao va ianao? Na mety manaraka anao handravona bainga any an-dohasaha va izy?
Canst thou bind the wild-ox, so that—with the ridge—shall run his cord? Or will he harrow the furrows after thee?
11 Azonao itokiana va izy satria lehibe ny heriny? Ary havelanao hataony va ny asanao?
Wilt thou trust in him, because of the greatness of his strength? Wilt thou leave unto him thy toil?
12 Azonao itokiana hitondra ny varinao mody va izy sy hanangona izany ho eo am-pamoloanao?
Wilt thou put faith in him, that he will bring back thy seed? and that, corn for thy threshing-floor, he will gather?
13 Mikopakopaka noho ny fifaliana ny elatry ny ostritsa; Nefa mahalemy fanahy azy va ny elany sy ny volony?
The wing of the Ostrich that waveth itself joyfully, Is it the pinion of lovingkindness or the plumage?
14 Tsia, fa mandao ny atodiny ao amin’ ny tany izy ka mamela azy ho afanain’ ny vovoka,
For she leaveth—to the earth—her eggs, and, on the dust, she letteth them be warmed;
15 Ary tsy ahiny izay ho voaporitry ny tongotra ireo. Na ho voahitsaky ny bibi-dia.
And hath forgotten, that, a foot, may crush them, —or, the wild beast, tread on them!
16 Tsy tia ny zanany izy fa ataony hoatra ny tsy azy ireny; Efa very foana izay nisasarany, nefa tsy ahoany akory izany;
Dealing hardly with her young, as none-of-hers, In vain, her labour, without dread.
17 Fa efa nampanadinoin’ Andriamanitra ny fahendrena izy, ary Tsy nomeny anjara fahalalana.
For GOD hath suffered her to forget wisdom, and given her no share in understanding.
18 Raha mikopakopak’ elatra toa hanidina izy, dia ihomehezany ny soavaly sy ny mpitaingina azy.
What time, on high, she vibrateth her wings, she laugheth at the horse and his rider.
19 Moa manome hery ny soavaly va ianao, na manarona vombo mihofahofa ny vozony?
Couldst thou give—to the Horse—strength? Couldst thou clothe his neck with the quivering mane?
20 Mahay mampitsipika azy tahaka ny valala va ianao? Mahatsiravina ny hamafin’ ny fiefonefony!
Couldst thou cause him to leap like a locust? The majesty of his snort, is a terror!
21 Mihehy ao amin’ ny lohasaha izy ka mifalifaly noho ny heriny; Mandroso hanetra ny ady izy.
He diggeth into the plain, and rejoiceth in vigour, he goeth forth to meet armour;
22 Mihomehy ny tahotra izy, fa tsy mety mivadi-po. Ary tsy mianotra amin’ ny sabatra.
He laugheth at dread, and is not dismayed, neither turneth he back, from the face of the sword;
23 Mifioka eny amboniny ny zana-tsipìka sy ny lefona manelatselatra ary ny lefom-pohy.
Against him, whiz [the arrows of] the quiver, the flashing head of spear and javelin;
24 Miriotra mafy amin’ ny fahavinirana sy ny fahatezerana izy ka tsy mety mijanona intsony, rehefa maneno ny anjomara.
With stamping and rage, he drinketh up the ground, —he will not stand still when the horn soundeth;
25 Na oviana na oviana no anenoan’ ny anjomara dia mihiaka izy. Ary manimbolo ny ady izy, raha mbola lavitra, dia ny akoralava sy ny fitabataban’ ny manamboninahitra.
As oft as the horn soundeth, he saith, Aha! And, from afar, he scenteth the battle, —the thunder of commanders and the war-cry.
26 Ny fahendrenao va no mampanidina ny hitsikitsika sy mampamelatra ny elany hianatsimo?
Is it, by thine understanding, that the Bird of Passage betaketh him to his pinions? spreadeth out his wings to the south?
27 Noho ny didinao va no iakaran’ ny voromahery sy anaovany ny akaniny eny an-dringiringy?
Or, at thy bidding, that the Eagle mounteth, and that he setteth on high his nest?
28 Eny amin’ ny harambato no itoerany sy anaovany ny akaniny, dia eo an-tampon’ ny harambato sy ao amin’ ny fiarovana.
The crag, he inhabiteth, and so lodgeth himself, on the tooth of the crag, and high fort;
29 Any no itazanany remby; Mahatsinjo lavitra ny masony.
From thence, he searcheth out food, far away, his eyes do pierce;
30 Mitsentsitra rà ny zanany, ary izay itoeran’ ny faty dia any izy.
And, his young brood, suck up blood, and, where the slain are, there, is he.
