1 Eny, izany no mampitepotepo ny foko ka mampiemponempona azy hiala amin’ ny fitoerany.
Yea, at this, my heart quaketh, and starteth up out of its place.
2 Mihainoa dia mihainoa ny fikotrokotroky ny feony sy ny rohona izay mivoaka avy amin’ ny vavany.
Hear! oh hear! the raging of his voice, A growling sound also, out of his mouth, goeth forth;
3 Mandefa izany ho eny ambanin’ ny lanitra rehetra Izy, ary ny helatra hatramin’ ny faran’ ny tany.
Under the whole heavens, he letteth it loose, His lightning also, unto the wings of the earth;
4 Manarakaraka izany, dia misy feo mirohondrohona; Mampikotrokotroka ny feon’ ny fahalehibiazany Izy, ka rehefa re ny feony, dia tsy sakanany ny helatra.
After it, roareth a voice, He thundereth with his voice of majesty, Nor will he hold them back, when his voice is heard.
5 Mahagaga ny fikotrokotrok’ Andriamanitra amin’ ny feony; Manao zava-dehibe tsy takatry ny saintsika Izy.
GOD thundereth with his voice, wonderfully, Doing great things, which we cannot know;
6 Fa ny oram-panala baikoiny hoe: Milatsaha eny ambonin’ ny tany ianao; Ary toy izany koa ny ranonorana mivatravatra, eny, dia ny ranonorany mivatravatra mafy.
For, to the snow, he saith, Fall earthwards, —Also to the downpour of rain, yea the downpour of his mighty rains.
7 Mampiohona ny tanan’ ny olona rehetra Izy, mba samy hahalala izany ny olona rehetra izay nataony;
On the hand of every man, he setteth a seal, that all men may take note of his doing.
8 Ary miditra ao am-piereny koa ny bibidia ka mamitsaka ao an-davany.
So then the wild-beast hath gone into covert, and, in its lairs, doth it remain.
9 Avy any atsimo ny tadio, ary entin’ ny rivotra avy any avaratra ny hatsiaka.
Out of a chamber cometh a storm-wind, and, out of the north, cold.
10 Ny fofonain’ Andriamanitra mahamisy ranomandry, ka voageja ny rano malalaka.
By the breath of GOD, is given—frost, and, the breadth of waters, is congealed;
11 Ny rahona matevina tambesarany rano, ary ny rahon’ ny helatra dia ampieleziny;
Also, with moisture, burdeneth he the thick cloud, He disperseth his lightning-cloud;
12 Dia mihodinkodina araka ny fitarihany azy ireo hanatanteraka izay rehetra andidiany azy eny ambonin’ ny tany eran’ izao tontolo izao,
Yea, the same, in circles, turneth itself to and fro, by his steering them to their work, whithersoever he commandeth them, over the face of the world, towards the earth.
13 Na alatsany ho famaizana raha tokony ho an’ ny taniny izany na ho famindram-po kosa.
Whether, as a rod, or for his earth, or in lovingkindness, he causeth it to come.
14 Mihainoa izany, ry Joba; Mijanona, ka mba diniho ny fahagagana ataon’ Andriamanitra.
Give thou ear unto this, O Job, Stay, and consider well the wonders of GOD: —
15 Fantatrao va ny fanamboaran’ Andriamanitra ireny sy ny fampitselatselany ny helatry ny rahony?
Canst thou got to know of GOD’S giving charge over them, or of the causing of the lightning of his cloud to shine forth?
16 Fantatrao va ny fihevahevan’ ny rahona matevina, dia ny fahagagana avon’ Ilay tanteraka amin’ ny fahalalana?
Canst thou get to know concerning the poisings of the thick cloud, the wonders of one who is perfect in knowledge?
17 Hianao izay mahatsiaro ny fitafianao ho mafana, raha migaingaina ny andro azon’ ny rivotra avy any atsimo,
That thy garments should be hot when he quieteth the earth from the south?
18 Moa ianao niara-nanao taminy va, raha namelatra ny habakabaka Izy, izay mitoetra mafy toy ny zavatra manganohano natao an-idina?
Didst thou spread out, with him, the skies, strong as a molten mirror?
19 Mba ampianaro anay ary izay holazainay aminy; Fa tsy hitanay izay halahatray noho ny aizina,
Let us know what we shall say to him, We cannot set in order, by reason of darkness.
20 Holazaina aminy va, raha miteny aho? Moa misy olona maniry ho levona tokoa va?
Shall it be declared to him—that I would speak? Were any man to say aught, he might he destroyed?
21 Tsy hita ankehitriny ny mazava, Izay mamirapiratra any amin’ ny rahona: Nefa raha mandalo ny rivotra, dia mampisava azy ihany izany.
Yet, now, men see not the light, bright though it is in the skies, when, a wind, hath passed over, and cleansed them.
22 Avy any avaratra no ihavian’ ny mazava mitarehim-bolamena; Ao amin’ Andriamanitra ny voninahitra mahatahotra.
Out of the north, a golden light cometh, Upon GOD, is fearful splendour:
23 Ny Tsitoha, tsy mahita Azy isika; Izay lehibe amin’ ny hery sy ny fitsarana mbamin’ ny fahamarinana tanteraka dia tsy mba mampahory.
The Almighty, whom we have not fully found out, is great in vigour, —Neither, justice nor abounding righteousness, will he weaken.
24 Koa izany no atahoran’ ny olona Azy; Tsy mety mijery izay manao azy ho hendry Izy.
Therefore, do men revere him, He will not regard any who are wise in heart.
