1 Dia namaly Joba ka nanao hoe:
Bvt Iob answered, and sayde,
2 Endrey! nanohana ny tsy manan-kery ianao sy nampahatanjaka ny sandry malemy!
Whom helpest thou? him that hath no power? sauest thou the arme that hath no strength?
3 Ary nanolo-tsaina ny tsy hendry sy nampahafantatra izay fahendrena betsaka!
Whome counsellest thou? him that hath no wisedome? thou shewest right well as the thing is.
4 Iza no nandaharanao teny? Ary fanahin’ izay no nivoaka avy tao aminao?
To whom doest thou declare these words? or whose spirit commeth out of thee?
5 Ny matoatoa dia ampanaintainina Any ambanin’ ny rano sy any ambanin’ ny mponina any.
The dead things are formed vnder the waters, and neere vnto them.
6 Ny fiainan-tsi-hita miharihary eo anatrehany, ary ny fandringanana dia tsy mirakotra. (Sheol h7585)
The graue is naked before him, and there is no couering for destruction. (Sheol h7585)
7 Mamelatra ny lanitra avaratra ho eny ambonin’ ny habakabaka Izy ary manantona ny tany amin’ ny tsy misy.
He stretcheth out the North ouer the emptie place, and hangeth the earth vpon nothing.
8 Fonosiny amin’ ireo rahony matevina ny rano, nefa ny fanambanin’ ny rahona tsy mety triatra.
He bindeth the waters in his cloudes, and the cloude is not broken vnder them.
9 Manakona ny seza fiandrianany tsy ho hitantsika Izy amin’ ny amelarany ny rahony hanarona azy.
He holdeth backe the face of his throne: and spreadeth his cloude vpon it.
10 Asiany faritra manodidina eny ambonin’ ny rano. Hatramin’ izay ihaonan’ ny mazava sy ny maizina.
He hath set bounds about the waters, vntil the day and night come to an ende.
11 Ny andrin’ ny lanitra nihozongozona sady ankona amin’ ny teny mafy ataony.
The pillars of heauen tremble and quake at his reproofe.
12 Ny heriny no entiny mampanonja ny ranomasina, ary ny fahendreny no anorotoroany an-dRahaba;
The sea is calme by his power, and by his vnderstanding he smiteth the pride thereof.
13 Ny fanahiny no mahatsara tarehy ny lanitra; Ny tànany no nitomboka ny menarana mandositra.
His Spirite hath garnished the heauens, and his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
14 Indro, ireny dia vao ny sisintsisin’ ny alehany ihany aza, ary siosion-teny mamelovelo no andrenesantsika Azy; Fa raha ny fikotrokotroky ny heriny, iza moa no mahatakatra izany?
Loe, these are part of his wayes: but how litle a portion heare we of him? and who can vnderstand his fearefull power?
