< Joba 11 >
1 Dia namaly Zofara Namatita ka nanao hoe:
But Zophar the Naamathite, responding, said:
2 Moa tsy hovaliana va ny teny be toy izany? Ary moa raha maro vava, dia ho marina va?
Will he who speaks much, not also listen? Or will a talkative man be justified?
3 Ny bedibedinao va no hampangina ny olona? Ka dia haniratsira ianao, ka tsy hisy handresy lahatra,
Will men be silent only for you? And when you have mocked others, will no one refute you?
4 Ary dia hiteny hoe: Madio ny teny nalahatro, ary tsy nanan-tsiny teo imasonao aho.
For you said: “My word is pure, and I am clean in your sight.”
5 Enga anie ka hiteny Andriamanitra ka hiloa-bava hamaly anao!
Yet I wish that God would speak with you, and would open his lips to you,
6 Dia hasehony aminao ny fahendrena miafina, fa tsy hita lany izany, ka dia ho fantatrao fa tsy dia novalian’ Andriamanitra avokoa ny helokao.
so that he might reveal to you the secrets of wisdom, and how intricate his law is, and that you would understand how much less he requires of you than your iniquity deserves.
7 Takatry ny sainao va ny fomban’ Andriamanitra? Ary tanteraka va ny fahitanao ny Tsitoha
By chance, will you comprehend the footsteps of God and reach all the way to the perfection of the Almighty?
8 Avo tahaka ny lanitra izany! ka inona no hainao atao? Lalina noho ny fiainan-tsi-hita! ka inona no fantatrao? (Sheol )
He is higher than heaven, and what will you do? He is deeper than hell, but how will you know? (Sheol )
9 Lava noho ny tany ny ohany ary lehibe noho ny ranomasina.
His measure is longer than the earth and wider than the sea.
10 Raha mandroso Izy ka misambotra ary manao fitsarana, dia iza moa no mahasakana Azy?
If he overturns all things, or packs them together, who will contradict him?
11 Fa Izy mahafantatra ny olon-dratsy; Ary hitany ny heloka, na dia tsy mandinika akory aza Izy.
For he knows the vanity of men, and when he sees iniquity, does he not evaluate it?
12 Koa na dia ny olom-poana aza dia hahazo fahendrena, ary na dia ny zanaky ny boriki-dia aza dia hateraka ho olombelona.
A vain man is lifted up in arrogance, and he thinks that he is born free like a wild ass’s colt.
13 Raha ampanatrehinao Azy ny fonao, ary atantinao aminy ny tananao,
But you have fortified your heart and extended your hands to him.
14 Ka misy heloka eo an-tananao, dia ario lavitra izany, ary aza avela hisy ratsy hitoetra ao an-dainao;
If you would send away from you the iniquity that is in your hand, and not let injustice remain in your tabernacle,
15 Dia hahazo hanandratra ny tavanao tsy misy tsiny ianao, koa hijoro tsara ary tsy hatahotra;
then you would be able to lift up your face without blemish, and you would be steadfast and unafraid.
16 Fa ho hadinonao ny fahorianao: Toy ny rano efa nandalo no hahatsiarovanao azy.
Misery, likewise, you would forget, or would remember only like waters that have passed by.
17 Ary hamirapiratra lavitra noho ny mitataovovonana ny andronao; na dia sendra manjombona aza, dia ho tonga tahaka ny maraina.
And brightness, like that of midday, will rise upon you until evening, and when you would think yourself consumed, you will rise up like the morning star.
18 Hatoky ianao, satria misy fanantenana; eny, hijery manodidina ianao ka handry tsy amin’ ahiahy.
And, when hope has been set before you, you will have faith, and, when buried, you will sleep secure.
19 Dia ho tafandry ianao, fa tsy hisy hanaitaitra; Ary maro no hila sitraka aminao.
You will rest, and there will be nothing to make you afraid, and many will make requests before your face.
20 Fa ny mason’ ny ratsy fanahy kosa ho pahina, ka ho very avokoa ny fiarovana azy, ary ny fialàna aina ihany no hany sisa azony antenaina.
But the eyes of the impious will fade away, and the path to escape will perish before them, for the abomination of the soul is their hope.
