< Joba 10 >
1 Maharikoriko ahy ny aiko; Hamoaka ny fitarainako aho sy hiteny noho ny fangidian’ ny fanahiko
My soul hath been weary of my life, I leave off my talking to myself, I speak in the bitterness of my soul.
2 Hanao amin’ Andriamanitra hoe aho: Aza manameloka ahy; Mba ampahalalao izay anton’ ny iadianao amiko aho.
I say unto God, 'Do not condemn me, Let me know why Thou dost strive [with] me.
3 Mahafaly Anao va ny hampahory sy hanary ny efa nisasaranao ka hamirapiratra amin’ ny fisainan’ ny ratsy fanahy?
Is it good for Thee that Thou dost oppress? That Thou despisest the labour of Thy hands, And on the counsel of the wicked hast shone?
4 Manana maso nofo va Hianao? Na mijery tahaka ny fijerin’ ny zanak’ olombelona?
Eyes of flesh hast Thou? As man seeth — seest Thou?
5 Tahaka ny andron’ ny zanak’ olombelona va ny andronao? Na tahaka ny taonan’ ny olombelona ny taonanao,
As the days of man [are] Thy days? Thy years as the days of a man?
6 No dia mikaroka izay heloko Hianao sy mikatsaka izay fahotako,
That Thou inquirest for mine iniquity, And for my sin seekest?
7 Na dia fantatrao aza fa tsy mba ratsy fanahy aho, ary tsy misy mahavonjy amin’ ny tananao?
For Thou knowest that I am not wicked, And there is no deliverer from Thy hand.
8 Ny tananao ihany no namorona ahy ka nanisy endrika izao tenako rehetra izao, kanjo levoninao indray aho izao.
Thy hands have taken pains about me, And they make me together round about, And Thou swallowest me up!
9 Masìna Hianao, tsarovy fa notefenao toy ny tanimanga aho, ka hamerina ahy amin’ ny vovoka indray Hianao!
Remember, I pray Thee, That as clay Thou hast made me, And unto dust Thou dost bring me back.
10 Tsy naidinao toy ny ronono va aho ka nampandrinao toy ny ronono-mandry?
Dost Thou not as milk pour me out? And as cheese curdle me?
11 Eny, notafianao hoditra sy nofo aho ary norarinao tamin’ ny taolana sy ny ozatra.
Skin and flesh Thou dost put on me, And with bones and sinews dost fence me.
12 Aina sy famindram-po no nomenao ahy; Ary ny fiahianao no niaro ny aiko.
Life and kindness Thou hast done with me. And Thy inspection hath preserved my spirit.
13 Saingy izao no nafeninao tao am-ponao, eny, fantatro fa tao aminao izao:
And these Thou hast laid up in Thy heart, I have known that this [is] with Thee.
14 Raha manota aho, dia mamantatra ahy Hianao ka tsy manafaka ahy amin’ ny heloko.
If I sinned, then Thou hast observed me, And from mine iniquity dost not acquit me,
15 Raha meloka aho, dia lozako! Ary na dia marina aza aho, dia tsy ho sahy miandrandra, satria feno henatra sady mahatsiaro fahoriana aho.
If I have done wickedly — woe to me, And righteously — I lift not up my head, Full of shame — then see my affliction,
16 Fa raha sahy miandrandra aho, dia hihaza ahy tahaka ny liona masiaka Hianao; Ary hiverina indray Hianao, ka ho mahagaga ny famelinao ahy.
And it riseth — as a lion Thou huntest me. And Thou turnest back — Thou shewest Thyself wonderful in me.
17 Mbola hanangana vavolombelona vaovao mandrakariva hanameloka ahy Hianao sy hampitombo ny fahatezeranao amiko; Fahavalo mifanontona no mamely ahy.
Thou renewest Thy witnesses against me, And dost multiply Thine anger with me, Changes and warfare [are] with me.
18 Ka nahoana no namoaka ahy foana avy tany am-bohoka Hianao? Fa raha tsy izany, dia ho niala aina aho, ka tsy mba nisy maso nahita ahy akory.
And why from the womb Hast Thou brought me forth? I expire, and the eye doth not see me.
19 Ary efa toy ny tsy ary aho. Ka nentina avy tany an-kibo ho any am-pasana.
As I had not been, I am, From the belly to the grave I am brought,
20 Tsy vitsy va ny androko? Koa mitsahara Hianao, mihataha mba hakako aina kely,
Are not my days few? Cease then, and put from me, And I brighten up a little,
21 Dieny tsy mbola lasa tsy hiverina aho, dia ho any amin’ ny tanin’ ny aizina sy ny aloky ny fahafatesana,
Before I go, and return not, Unto a land of darkness and death-shade,
22 Ho any amin’ ny tany maizim-pito, dia ny an’ ny aloky ny fahafatesana sy ny fikorontanana, sady maizim-pito ny famirapiratana any.
A land of obscurity as thick darkness, Death-shade — and no order, And the shining [is] as thick darkness.'
