< Jeremia 8 >
1 Amin’ izany andro izany, hoy Jehovah, dia hofongarina avy ao am-pasana ny taolan’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Joda sy ny taolan’ ny lehibeny sy ny taolan’ ny mpisorona sy ny taolan’ ny mpaminany ary ny taolan’ ny mponina any Jerosalema,
“At that time—this is Yahweh's declaration—they will bring out from the graves the bones of the kings of Judah and its officials, the bones of the priests and the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
2 ka haeliny eo anatrehan’ ny masoandro sy ny volana ary ny kintana rehetra eny amin’ ny lanitra, izay efa tiany sy notompoiny sy efa narahiny sy efa notadiaviny ary efa niankohofany teo anatrehany: tsy hangonina na halevina intsony ireny, fa hatao zezika eny ambonin’ ny tany.
Then they will spread them out in the light of the sun and moon and all the stars of the skies; these things in the sky that they have followed and served, that they have walked after and sought, and that they have worshiped. The bones will not be gathered or buried again. They will be like dung on the surface of the earth.
3 Ary ny sisa rehetra amin’ ity taranaka ratsy ity, izay mbola sisa any amin’ ny tany rehetra nandroahako azy, dia haniry ny ho faty noho ny ho velona, hoy Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro.
In every remaining place where I have driven them, they will choose death instead of life for themselves, all who are still left over from this evil nation—this is the declaration of Yahweh of hosts.
4 Ary koa, lazao aminy hoe: Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah: Ho lavo va ny olona ka tsy hiarina? Hihodina hivily va ny olona ka tsy hitodika hiverina?
So say to them, 'Yahweh says this: Does anyone fall and not get up? Does anyone get lost and not try to return?
5 Nahoana ity firenena eto Jerosalema ity no miodina amin’ ny fiodinana tsy mety mitsahatra? Mikikitra mafy amin’ ny fitaka izy ka tsy mety miverina.
Why has this people, Jerusalem, turned away in permanent faithlessness? They hold on to treachery and refuse to repent.
6 Nihaino Aho, ka nandre, fa manao teny tsy marina izy: Ary tsy misy manenina ny amin’ ny haratsiany hoe: Endrey izany nataoko izany! Izy rehetra dia samy mivily mankamin’ ny alehany avy tahaka ny soavaly miriotra ho amin’ ny ady.
I paid attention and listened, but they did not speak right; no one was sorry for his wickedness, no one who says, “What have I done?” All of them go where they wish, like a stallion rushing toward battle.
7 Na dia ny vano eny amin’ ny lanitra aza dia mahalala ny fotoan’ androny, ary ny domohina sy ny sidintsidina ary ny vanobe koa samy mitandrina ny fotoana fihaviany; Fa ny oloko kosa tsy mba mahalala ny fitsipik’ i Jehovah.
Even the stork in heaven knows the right times; and the doves, swifts, and cranes. They go on their migrations at the right time, but my people do not know Yahweh's decrees.
8 Ahoana no anaovanareo hoe: Hendry izahay, ary ato aminay ny lalàn’ i Jehovah? Nefa ny fanoratan-daingan’ ny mpanoratra mahatonga azy ho lainga.
How can you say, “We are wise, for the law of Yahweh is with us”? Indeed, see! The deceitful pen of the scribes has created deceit.
9 Mahazo henatra ny hendry, raiki-tahotra sy voasambotra izy; Indro, ny tenin’ i Jehovah dia nolaviny, ka inona intsony no fahendrena ananany?
The wise men will be ashamed. They are dismayed and trapped. Behold! They reject Yahweh's word, so what use is their wisdom?
10 Ary noho izany dia homeko ho an’ ny sasany ny vadiny, ary ny sahany ho an’ izay maka azy, satria izy rehetra, na ny kely na ny lehibe, dia samy fatra-pila harena, na mpaminany na mpisorona dia samy mamitaka avokoa.
So I will give their wives to others, and their fields to those who will possess them, because from the least to the greatest, all of them are greedy for dishonest gain! From the prophet to the priest, all of them practice deceit.
11 Fa nataotaony foana ny fanasitranany ny faharatran’ ny oloko zanakavavy tamin’ ny nanaovany hoe: Fiadanana, fiadanana; Kanjo tsy misy fiadanana tsinona!
They healed the wounds of my people lightly, saying, “Peace, Peace,” when there was no peace.
12 Nomenarina izy noho ny nanaovany fahavetavetana, nefa tsy mba menatra akory izy, ary tsy mba valahara; Koa ho lavo ao amin’ izay lavo izy, amin’ ny andro hamaliana azy dia ho tafintohina izy, ho Jehovah.
Were they ashamed when they practiced abominations? They were not ashamed; they did not know how to blush! So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says Yahweh.
13 Hakifako tokoa izy, hoy Jehovah; Tsy mamoa ny voaloboka, ary tsy misy voany ny aviavy, malazo ny raviny; Ary nanendry izay hanafika azy Aho.
I will remove them completely—this is Yahweh's declaration—there will be no grapes on the vine, nor will there be figs on the fig trees. For the leaf will wither, and what I have given to them will pass away.
14 Nahoana isika no mbola mipetra-poana? Mivoria ianareo, ka andeha isika hiditra any an-tanàna mimanda, ka dia ho faty ao; fa Jehovah Andriamanitra efa nanendry antsika ho faty ka nanome rano mangidy hosotrointsika Noho ny nanotantsika tamin’ i Jehovah.
Why are we sitting here? Come together; let us go to the fortified cities, and we will become silent there in death. For Yahweh our God will silence us. He will make us drink poison, since we have sinned against him.
15 Nanantena fiadanana isika, kanjo tsy nahita soa; Ary andro fanasitranana, fa indro fampitahorana.
We are hoping for peace, but there will be nothing good. We are hoping for a time of healing, but see, there will be terror.
16 Ny fiefonefon’ ny soavaly dia re hatrany Dana: Mihorohoro ny tany rehetra noho ny fanenon’ ny soavaly matanjaka; Fa avy izy ka mandany ny tany mbamin’ ny izay rehetra ao aminy, dia ny tanàna sy izay monina ao.
The snorting of his stallions is heard from Dan. The whole earth shakes at the sound of the neighing of his strong horses. For they will come and consume the land and its wealth, the city and the ones living in it.
17 Fa indro Aho handefa bibilava hamely anareo, dia menarana izay tsy azon’ ody, ka hanaikitra anareo ireny, hoy Jehovah.
For see, I am sending out snakes among you, vipers that you cannot charm. They will bite you—this is Yahweh's declaration.'”
18 Indrisy! enga anie ka hisy fahamiramiranana ho ahy eto amin’ ny alaheloko, fa reraka ny foko ato anatiko.
My sorrow has no end, and my heart is sick.
19 Injany! misy feo fitarainan’ ny oloko zanakavavy hatrany amin’ ny tany lavitra hoe: Moa Jehovah tsy ao Ziona va? Ary tsy ao aminy va ny Mpanjakany? Nahoana no nahatezitra Ahy ireny tamin’ ny sarin-javatra voasokitra ao aminy sy tamin’ ny zava-poana avy amin’ ny firenena hafa?
Behold! The screaming voice of the daughter of my people from a land far away! Is Yahweh not in Zion? Is her king no longer there? Why then do they provoke me to anger with their carved figures and their worthless foreign idols?
20 Lasa ny fararano, tapitra ny taom-piotazana, nefa tsy voavonjy isika.
The harvest has passed on, summer is over. But we have not been saved.
21 Torotoro aho noho ny fahatorotoroan’ ny oloko zanakavavy; Misaona aho, ary horohoro no mahazo ahy.
I am hurt because of the hurt of the daughter of my people. I mourn at the horrible things that have happened to her; I am dismayed.
22 Moa tsy misy balsama va any Gileada? Moa tsy misy dokotera va any? Koa nahoana no tsy tanteraka ny fanasitranana ny oloko zanakavavy?
Is there no medicine in Gilead? Is there no healer there? Why will the healing of the daughter of my people not happen?
