< Isaia 39 >

1 Tamin’ izany andro izany no nampitondran’ i Merodaka-baladana, zanak’ i Baladana, mpanjakan’ i Babylona, taratasy sy fanomezana ho an’ i Hezekia; fa efa reny fa narary izy ka sitrana.
At that time, Merodach-baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that he had been sick, and had recovered.
2 Ary dia faly Hezekia noho izany ka nampiseho azy ny trano fitehirizany zava-tsoa, dia volafotsy sy volamena sy zava-manitra ary menaka tsara, sy ny trano fitehirizana ny fiadiany rehetra mbamin’ izay rehetra tao amin’ ny firaketany; tsy nisy zavatra tsy nasehon’ i Hezekia azy, na ny tao an-tranony, na ny tao amin’ ny fanjakany rehetra.
Hezekiah was pleased with them, and showed them the house of his precious things, the silver, the gold, the spices, and the precious oil, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures. There was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn’t show them.
3 Dia nankany amin’ i Hezekia mpanjaka mpaminany ka nanao taminy hoe: Ahoana no nolazain’ ireo olona ireo, ary avy taiza nihaviany hankatỳ aminao? Ary hoy Hezekia: Nankaty amiko avy tany an-tany lavitra izy, dia avy tany Babylona.
Then Isaiah the prophet came to King Hezekiah, and asked him, “What did these men say? From where did they come to you?” Hezekiah said, “They have come from a country far from me, even from Babylon.”
4 Dia hoy izy: Ka inona avy anefa no hitany tato ananonao? Ary hoy Hezekia: Izay rehetra an-tranoko dia efa hitany avokoa; tsy nisy zavatra tsy nasehoko azy ny ao amin’ ny firaketako rehetra.
Then he asked, “What have they seen in your house?” Hezekiah answered, “They have seen all that is in my house. There is nothing amongst my treasures that I have not shown them.”
5 Ary hoy Isaia tamin’ i Hezekia: Henoy ny tenin’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro:
Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the LORD of Armies:
6 Indro, avy ny andro, ka ho entina ho any Babylona izay rehetra ao an-tranonao sy izay rehetra noharin’ ny razanao ka voatahiry mandraka androany; eny, tsy hisy sisa hijanona inona na inona, hoy Jehovah.
‘Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up until today, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says the LORD.
7 Ary na dia terakao aza dia hisy ho entiny koa, ka ho tandonaka any amin’ ny lapan’ ny mpanjakan’ i Babylona ireo.
‘They will take away your sons who will issue from you, whom you shall father, and they will be eunuchs in the king of Babylon’s palace.’”
8 Dia hoy Hezekia tamin’ Isaia: Tsara ny tenin’ i Jehovah izay nolazainao. Ary hoy koa izy: Eny, hisy fiadanana amin’ ny androko handry fahizay.
Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The LORD’s word which you have spoken is good.” He said moreover, “For there will be peace and truth in my days.”
