< Isaia 33 >
1 Lozanao, ry ilay mandroba, nefa tsy norobaina ianao! Ary mamitaka, nefa tsy nofitahina ianao! Rehefa mitsahatra ny mandrava ianao, dia vao horavana kosa; Ary rehefa mitsahatra ny mamitaka ianao, dia vao hofitahina kosa.
Woe, spoiler! And you not spoiled, And treacherous! And they did not deal treacherously with you, When you finish, O spoiler, you are spoiled, When you finish dealing treacherously, They deal treacherously with you.
2 Jehovah ô, mamindrà fo aminay; Hianao no antenainay; Aoka ho sandrinay isa-maraina ianao sy ho famonjena anay amin’ ny andro fahoriana.
O YHWH, favor us, We have waited for You, Be their arm, in the mornings, Indeed, our salvation in time of adversity.
3 Ny feon’ ny fitabatabana no mampandositra ny firenena; Raha misandratra Hianao, dia mipariaka ny jentilisa.
From the voice of a multitude peoples have fled, From Your exaltation nations have been scattered.
4 Ary ireny handevona ny babonareo tahaka ny fandevon’ ny valala, tahaka ny fifanaretsaky ny kalalao no fifanaretsany eo aminy.
And Your spoil has been gathered, A gathering of the caterpillar, As a running to and fro of locusts He is running on it.
5 Manerinarina Jehovah, fa mitoetra any amin’ ny avo Izy; Nofenoiny rariny sy fahamarinana Ziona.
YHWH is set on high, for He is dwelling on high, He filled Zion [with] judgment and righteousness,
6 Ary hisy andro tsy manam-piovana ho anao, eny, haren’ ny famonjena sy ny fahendrena ary ny fahalalana; Ny fahatahorana an’ i Jehovah no rakitrao.
And has been the steadfastness of your times, The strength of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge, Fear of YHWH—it [is] His treasure.
7 Indreo, ny lehilahy maheriny mitaraina eny ivelany; Ny iraka nitady fihavanana dia mitomany mafy.
Behold, “Their Ariel,” they have cried outside, Messengers of peace weep bitterly.
8 Maty ny lalambe; Tsy misy ny mpandeha; Nofoanany ny fanekena; Nalany baraka ny tanàna; Tsy nanaja olona izy.
Highways have been desolated, He who passes along the path has ceased, He has broken covenant, He has despised enemies, He has not esteemed a man.
9 Misaona ny tany ka milofika; Menatra Libanona ka malazo; Efa tonga tahaka ny tani-hay Sarôna, Ary manintsana Basana sy Karmela.
The land has mourned, languished, Lebanon has been confounded, Sharon has been withered as a wilderness, And Bashan and Carmel are shaking.
10 Ankehitriny dia hitsangana Aho, hoy Jehovah; Ankehitriny dia ho any amin’ ny avo Aho; Ankehitriny dia hisandratra Aho.
Now I arise, says YHWH, Now I am exalted, now I am lifted up.
11 Torontoronina bozaka ianareo ka miteraka vodivary; Ny fofonainareo dia tahaka ny afo handevona anareo.
You conceive chaff, you bear stubble; Your spirit—a fire [that] devours you.
12 Ary ny firenena ho tahaka ny fandoroan-tsokay, eny, ho tahaka ny tsilo notombohina izay mirehitra amin’ ny afo izy.
And peoples have been [as] burnings of lime, Thorns, as sweepings, they burn with fire.
13 Mihainoa ny amin’ izay efa nataoko, ianareo izay lavitra, ary aoka hahafantatra ny heriko ianareo izay akaiky.
Hear, you far off, that which I have done, And know, you near ones, My might.
14 Raiki-tahotra ny mpanota ao Ziona; Horohoro no nahazo ny mpihatsaravela-tsihy. Iza amintsika no hahatoetra amin’ ny afo mandevona? Iza amintsika moa no hahatoetra amin’ ny lelafo mandrakizay?
Sinners have been afraid in Zion, Trembling has seized the profane: Who dwells for us—consuming fire, Who dwells for us—burnings of the age?
15 Izay mandeha amin’ ny fahamarinana sady miteny zava-mahitsy, izay tsy mety mandray harena amin’ ny fanaovana an-keriny fa manifikifika ny tanany mba tsy handray kolikoly, izay manentsin-tadiny mba tsy handrenesany ny amin’ ny fandatsahan-drà sady manakimpy ny masony mba tsy hahita ny ratsy;
Whoever is walking righteously, And is speaking uprightly, Kicking against gain of oppressions, Shaking his hands from taking hold on a bribe, Stopping his ear from hearing of blood, And shutting his eyes from looking on evil,
16 Izy no honina ao amin’ ny avo; Ny fitoerana avony dia ny fiarovana any amin’ ny harambato; Izay hohaniny dia homena azy, ary ny rano hosotroiny tsy ho diso.
He inhabits high places, Strongholds of rock [are] his high tower, His bread has been given, his waters steadfast.
17 Ny masonao hahita ny mpanjaka amin’ ny hatsaran-tarehiny sady hahatsinjo tany malalaka dia malalaka.
Your eyes see a king in his beauty, They see a far-off land.
18 Hotsaroan’ ny fonao ilay nahatahotra: Aiza ny mpanoratra? Aiza ny mpandanja? Aiza ny mpanisa ny tilikambo?
Your heart meditates [on] terror, Where [is] he who is counting? Where [is] he who is weighing? Where [is] he who is counting the towers?
19 Ny firenena misetaseta dia tsy ho hitanao intsony, dia ilay olona miboediboedi-piteny ka tsy fantatra, na ny lela mikodedidedy ka tsy azo.
You do not see the strong people, A people deeper of lip than to be understood, Of a scorned tongue, there is no understanding.
20 Tsiniovy Ziona, dia ilay tanàna fihaonantsika tamin’ ny fotoam-pivavahana; Ny masonao hahita an’ i Jerosalema ho fonenana mandry fahizay, dia lay izay tsy hafindra, ny tsimatra aminy tsy hongotana mandrakizay, ary tsy hisy hotapahina ny kofehiny.
See Zion, the city of our meetings, Your eyes see Jerusalem—a quiet habitation, A tent not taken down, its pins are not removed forever, And none of its cords are broken.
21 Fa Jehovah dia mahery ho antsika any, tany be ony sy lahin-drano lehibe any, nefa sy halehan’ ny sambo voizina, na hovakin’ ny sambo lehibe.
But YHWH [is] mighty for us there, A place of rivers—streams of broad sides, No ship with oars goes into it, And a mighty ship does not pass over it.
22 Fa Jehovah no Mpitsara antsika; Jehovah no mpanome lalàna antsika; Jehovah no mpanjakantsika; Izy no hamonjy antsika.
For YHWH, ours who is judging, YHWH our lawgiver, YHWH our King—He saves us.
23 Mivaha ny mahazakan-tsambonao; Tsy mahahazona mafy ny fiorenan’ andry izy, na mahavelatra ny lay; Fa amin’ izay kosa dia hozaraina ny zavatra be voababo; Na dia ny mandringa aza dia mba hahazo babo ihany.
Your ropes have been left, They do not correctly strengthen their mast, They have not spread out a sail, Then a prey of much spoil has been apportioned, The lame have taken spoil.
24 Tsy hisy amin’ ny mponina ao hilaza hoe: Marary aho; Ny olona izay mitoetra ao dia voavela heloka.
Nor does an inhabitant say, “I was sick”; The people dwelling in it [are] forgiven of [their] iniquity!
