< Isaia 13 >
1 Faminaniana hitan’ Isaia, zanak’ i Amoza, ny amin’ ny loza hanjo an’ i Babylona.
The oracle on Babylon, —of which Isaiah, son of Amoz had vision: —
2 Manangàna faneva eo an-tampon’ izay tendrombohitra mangadihady ianareo, manandrata feo hiantso azy, hofay tanana izy hiditra amin’ ny vavahadin’ ireo mpanapaka.
Upon a bare mountain, lift ye up a standard, Raise high the voice to them, Wave the hand, That they may enter the doors of nobles.
3 Izaho efa nandidy ny nohamasiniko, eny, efa niantso ny lehilahy maheriko aho, dia ireo mibitaka amim-pireharehana, hahatanteraka ny fahatezerako.
I myself, have given charge to my hallowed ones, —Yea I have called My heroes in showing mine anger, My proudly exulting ones.
4 Injany! ny horakoraka any an-tendrombohitra, tahaka ny an’ ny vahoaka be! Dia ny fitabataban’ ny fanjakan’ ny firenena efa tafatambatra! Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, no manomana miaramila hiady,
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, A resemblance of many people, —The noise of a tumult of kingdoms Nations gathered together, Yahweh of hosts, mustering a host for battle!
5 Izay avy any amin’ ny tany lavitra, any amin’ ny faravodilanitra, dia Jehovah sy ireo fitaovan’ ny fahatezerany, ho enti-mandrava ny tany rehetra.
They are coming in From a land far away. From the utmost bound of the heavens, —Yahweh—with his weapons of indignation, To destroy the land.
6 Midradradradrà ianareo, fa efa antomotra ny andron’ i Jehovah, ka tahaka ny loza tsy toha avy amin’ ny Tsitoha no fihaviny.
Howl ye! for at hand is the day of Yahweh, —As a veritable destruction from the Almighty, shall it come.
7 Ary noho izany dia hiraviravy ny tanana rehetra, ary ho kivy ny fon’ ny zanak’ olombelona rehetra;
For this cause—All hands, shall hang down, —and Every mortal heart, melt.
8 Ho toran-kovitra izy; Fanaintainana sy fahoriana no hahazo azy, ka hijalijaly tahaka ny vehivavy mihetsi-jaza izy; samy ho talanjona izy ka hifampijery; Mitarehin-delafo ny tarehiny.
And they shall be in distress—Writhings and pains, shall lay hold, As a woman in childbirth, shall they be in pangs, —Everyone, at his neighbour, shall look in amazement, Faces of flames, their faces!
9 Indro, avy ny andron’ i Jehovah, dia loza sy fahavinirana ary firehetan’ ny fahatezerana hanafoanana ny tany sy handringanana ny mpanota tsy ho ao.
Lo! the day of Yahweh, coming in, Fierce and overflowing, and burning with anger, —To devote the earth to desolation, And her sinners, will he destroy out of it.
10 Fa ny kintan’ ny lanitra, na dia ireo Telonohorefy aza, dia tsy hampamirapiratra ny fahazavany; ny masoandro ho maizina amin’ ny iposahany; Ary ny volana tsy hangarangarana.
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations, shall not flash forth their light, —Obscured shall be the sun in his going forth, And the moon, shall not shed her light.
11 Ary hatsingeriko amin’ izao tany rehetra izao ny faharatsiany, sy amin’ ny ratsy fanahy ny helony; Ary hatsahatro ny fireharehan’ ny mpiavonavona, Ary haetriko ny fiavonavonan’ ny mpampahory.
And I will visit, upon the inhabited earth, calamity!, And upon the lawless, their punishment, And will quiet the arrogance of the proud, And the loftiness of tyrants, will I lay low.
12 Dia hataoko ho saro-tadiavina mihoatra noho ny volamena tsara ny olombelona, eny, noho ny tena volamena avy any Ofira aza.
I will cause, a man, to be more precious than fine gold, —Even a son of earth than, the finest gold of Ophir.
13 Ary noho izany dia hampihorohoroiko ny lanitra, ary ny tany hientanentana hiala amin’ ny fitoerany noho ny fahatezeran’ i Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, sy noho ny andro firehetan’ ny fahatezerany.
For this cause, the heavens, will I disturb, And, the earth, shall tremble out of her place, —In the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, And in the day of the glow of his anger.
14 Ary ho tahaka ny gazela hazaina ny olona, sy ho tahaka ny ondry aman’ osy tsy misy mpamory, ka dia samy ho lasa any amin’ ny fireneny avy izy, eny, samy handositra ho any amin’ ny taniny avy izy.
And it shall be—Like a gazelle that is chased, And like a sheep with none to lift it up, —Each, to his own people, will they turn, And, each, to his own land, will they flee:
15 Izay rehetra azo dia holefonina, ary izay rehetra tratra dia ho lavon’ ny sabatra.
Every one found, shall be thrust through, —And, every one taken, shall fall by the sword;
16 Ary ny zanany madinika hotorotoroina eo imasony; Ny tranony hobaboina, ary ny vadiny hosavihina.
And, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, before their eyes, —Plundered shall be, their houses, and their wives ravished.
17 Indro, hamporisihiko hamely azy ny Mediana, izay manao ny volafotsy tsy ho zavatra ary tsy mankamamy ny volamena.
Behold me! stirring up against them the Medes, —Who of silver, shall take no account, And as for gold, they shall not delight in it;
18 Ny tsipìkany handripaka ny zatovo, ary izay ateraky ny kibo tsy hamindrany fo, eny, na dia ny zaza aza tsy hiantran’ ny masony.
And, bows, shall dash the young to pieces, —And on the fruit of the womb, will they have no pity, Over children, will their eye throw no shield.
19 Ary Babylona, ravaky ny fanjakana maro Tabiha sy reharehan’ ny Kaldeana, Dia ho rava tahaka ny nandravan’ Andriamanitra an’ i Sodoma sy Gomora;
Thus shall Babylon—The most lovely of kingdoms, The majestic beauty of the Chaldees—Become as in the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 Tsy honenana mandrakizay izy ary tsy hitoerana intsony hatramin’ ny taranaka fara mandimby, Tsy hisy Arabo hanorin-day any, na mpiandry ondry hampandry ny ondriny any;
It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, —Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.
21 Fa ny bibi-dia any an-efitra no hitoetra any, ho feno vorondolo ny tranony, ny ostritsa no hitoetra any, ary ny osilahy no hitsambikimbikina any,
Then shall lie down there, wild beasts, And filled shall be their houses with owls, —Then shall inhabit there, the ostrich, And shaggy creatures, shall dance there.
22 Ny kary no hifampierena ao an-tranobeny, ary ny amboadia ao amin’ ny lapa nanaranam-po; efa antomotra ny fotoany, ary ny androny tsy hatao ela.
And jackals shall answer, in their citadels, And wild dogs, in their voluptuous palaces, —And near to come is her time, And, her days, shall not be delayed.
