< Habakoka 3 >

1 Ny fivavak’ i Habakoka mpaminany. Araka ny Sigionota.
A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigyonoth.
2 Jehovah ô, efa reko ny filazana Anao, ka raiki-tahotra aho; Jehovah ô, velomy ny asanao ao an-tenatenan’ ny taona, Ataovy fantatra ao an-tenatenan’ ny taona izany; Na dia tezitra aza Hianao, tsarovy ny indrafo.
O Lord, I have heard thy fame, [and] was afraid: O Lord, thy work—in the midst of the years [of sorrow] revive thou it, in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
3 Tamy avy any Temana Andriamanitra, Dia ny iray Masìna avy any an-tendrombohitra Parana. (Sela) Manarona ny lanitra ny voninahiny, Ary manenika ny tany ny fiderana Azy.
[When] God from Theman came, and the Holy One from mount Paran, (Selah) his glory covered the heavens, and of his praise the earth was full.
4 Misy famirapiratana toy ny mazava, Ary misy tàna-masoandro avy eo amin’ ny tànany; Ary ao no fieren’ ny heriny.
And [his] brightness was like the sunlight; rays streamed forth out of his hand unto them; and there was the hiding of his power.
5 Eo alohany no andehanan’ ny areti-mandringana, Ary areti-mandripaka no mivoaka avy eo aoriany.
Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth in his steps.
6 Mijanona Izy ka manozongozona ny tany; Mijery Izy ka mampangovitra ny firenena, Ary torotoro ny tendrombohitra mandrakizay, Mietry ny havoana fahagola, Fanaony hatry ny fahagola ny Azy.
He stood forward, and made the earth tremble; he looked and dispersed nations; and there burst asunder the everlasting mountains; there sunk the perpetual hills: the ways of the world are his.
7 Mahita ny lain’ i Kosana azom-pahoriana aho, Sady mipararetra ny ambain-dain’ ny tany Midiana.
In affliction I saw the tents of Cushan: they trembled—the curtains of the land of Midian.
8 Moa amin’ ny ony va no irehetan’ ny fahatezeran’ i Jehovah? Amin’ ny ony va no ahatezeranao, Na amin’ ny ranomasina va no ahasosoranao, No dia mitaingina ny soavalinao sy ny kalesim-pamonjenao Hianao?
Was the Lord wroth against the rivers? yea, was against the rivers thy anger [kindled]? was against the sea thy wrath that thou rodest upon thy horses, thy chariots of victory!
9 Nalan-tsarona ny tsipìkanao; Efa nianianana ny fikapohan’ ny teny. (Sela) Namakivaky ny tany Hianao mba hisy ony.
Laid quite bare is thy bow, like severe rods of punishment [goeth forth] thy word, (Selah) into rivers thou splittest the earth.
10 Nahita Anao ny tendrombohitra ka toran-kovitra; Mirotsaka ny ranonorana mivatravatra, Mamoa-peo ny lalina Sady manangan-tanana ho amin’ ny avo.
The mountains saw thee, they trembled; the flowing waters passed along: the deep issued forth its voice, the height lifted up its hands.
11 Ny masoandro sy ny volana niditra teo amin’ ny fitoerany, Noho ny fahazavan’ ny zana-tsipìkanao mitsoriaka Sy ny fanelatselatry ny lefonao mamirapiratra.
The sun and moon stood still in their dwelling: at the light of thy arrows they walked along, at the shining of the flaming glitter of thy spear.
12 Amin’ ny fahatezeranao no anitsahanao ny tany; Amin’ ny fahaviniranao no anosihosenao ny firenena.
In indignation thou marchest through the earth, in anger thou treadest down nations.
13 Mivoaka hamonjy ny olonao Hianao, dia hamonjy ny voahosotrao; Torotoroinao ny tapenaky ny tranon’ ny ratsy fanahy, Ka ahariharinao hatreo an-tenatenany ny fanorenany. (Sela)
Thou wentest forth to the assistance of thy people, to the assistance of thy anointed: thou didst wound the head out of the house of the wicked, destroy the foundation with the high-towering walls. (Selah)
14 Ny lefony ihany no anaboroahanao ny lohan’ ireo miaramilany betsaka, Izay avy toy ny tadio hanely ahy, Sady mifaly handany mangingina ny ory izy.
Thou didst strike through with his own spears the chiefs of his villages, who rushed out furiously to scatter me; who rejoiced greatly as though they were to devour the poor in secret.
15 Mitety ny ranomasina amin’ ny soavalinao Hianao, Dia eny amin’ ny rano be miavovona.
[But] thou didst pass along over the sea with thy horses, over the piled up billows of great waters.
16 Nony mandre aho, dia mandevilevy ny kiboko; Ny molotro mipararetra noho ny feo; Azon’ ny fahalòvana ny taolako, ary mangovitra aho; Fa tsy maintsy miandry ny andro fahoriana aho, Dia izay hiakaran’ ny mpanao andiany hamely ny olonao.
I heard it, and my inmost parts trembled; at the report my lips quivered; rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in my place, that I should rest till the day of distress, till the withdrawing of the people that will invade us with its troops.
17 Fa na dia tsy mamontsina aza ny aviavy, Ary tsy misy voany ny voaloboka, Na dia mahadiso fanantenana aza ny oliva, Ary tsy mahavokatra hohanina ny saha, Na dia vonoina aza ny ondry ao amin’ ny vala, Ary tsy misy omby ao am-pahitra,
For the fig-tree doth not bud, and no fruit is on the vines; the productiveness of the olive deceiveth, and the fields yield no food; from the fold the flocks are cut off, and there are no herds in the stalls.
18 Nefa izaho dia mbola hifaly amin’ i Jehovah ihany Sy hiravoravo amin’ Andriamanitry ny famonjena ahy.
Yet will I rejoice in the Lord, I will exult in the God of my salvation.
19 Jehovah Tompo no tanjako, Ary manao ny tongotro ho toy ny an’ ny dieravavy Izy Ka mampandeha ahy any amin’ ny havoanako. Ho an’ ny mpiventy hira. Hampiarahina amin’ ny valiha.
The Lord Eternal is my strength, and he maketh my feet fleet as those of the hinds, and he will cause me to tread upon my high places. To the chief musician of my songs.
