Galatiana 5

1 Ho amin’ ny fahafahana no nanafahan’ i Kristy antsika; ka tomoera tsara, fa aza mety hohazonin’ ny zioga fanandevozana intsony.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again in the yoke of bondage.

2 Indro, izaho Paoly milaza aminareo fa raha mety hoforana ianareo, dia tsy hahasoa anareo na dia kely akory aza Kristy.

Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.

3 Ary lazaiko marina indray amin’ ny olona manaiky hoforana rehetra fa mpitrosa tsy maintsy mankatò ny lalàna rehetra izy.

And I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to the whole law.

4 Dia tafasaraka amin’ i Kristy ianareo na iza na iza izay mitady hohamarinina amin’ ny lalàna; efa lavo niala tamin’ ny fahasoavana ianareo.

Christ is become nothing to you, whosoever of you are seeking to be justified by the law: ye are fallen from the grace of the gospel.

5 Fa izahay amin’ ny Fanahy sy noho ny finoana dia miandry ny fanantenana ny fahamarinana.

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 Fa ao amin’ i Kristy Jesosy dia tsy mahasoa na ny famorana na ny tsi-famorana, fa ny finoana izay miasa amin’ ny fitiavana.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.

7 Hianareo nihazakazaka tsara, iza no nisakana anareo tsy hanaiky ny marina?

Ye did run well: who hindered you from obeying the truth?

8 Izany fitaomana izany dia tsy avy tamin’ ilay miantso anareo.

This persuasion came not from him that called you: but a little leaven leaveneth the whole mass.

9 Ny masirasira kely dia mahatonga ny vongana rehetra ho masirasira avokoa.

I have confidence in you however through the Lord,

10 Izaho matoky anareo ao amin’ ny Tompo fa tsy hisaina zavatra hafa akory ianareo; fa ilay mampitabataba anareo no hiharan’ ny fanamelohana, na zovy na zovy izy.

that ye will not think otherwise: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgement, whosoever he be.

11 Fa izaho, ry rahalahy, raha mbola mitory ny famorana ihany, nahoana aho no mbola enjehina? Dia afaka tokoa ny fahatafintohinana noho ny hazo fijaliana.

And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted by the Jews? for then the offence of the cross is ceased.

12 Enga anie ka hiesotra aza izay mampitabataba anareo.

I wish they were even cut off from your communion, that make such disturbance amongst you.

13 Fa efa nantsoina ho amin’ ny fahafahana ianareo, ry rahalahy; kanefa aoka tsy ho entinareo hanaraka ny nofo izany fahafahana izany, fa mifampanompoa amin’ ny fitiavana.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only abuse not this liberty for an occasion to indulge the flesh, but by mutual love serve one another.

14 Fa tanteraka amin’ ny teny iray ihany ny lalàna rehetra, dia izao: Tiava ny namanao tahaka ny tenanao.

For all the law is fulfilled in one precept, even in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 Fa raha mifandramatra sy mifampihinana ianareo, tandremo fandrao mifandringana.

But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not destroyed by one another.

16 Fa hoy izaho: Mandehana araka ny Fanahy, dia tsy hahatanteraka ny filan’ ny nofo ianareo.

I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye will not fulfil the desire of the flesh:

17 Fa ny nofo manohitra ny Fanahy, ary ny Fanahy manohitra ny nofo; ary mifanohitra izy roroa, mba tsy hahazoanaroeo manao izay zavatra tianareo.

for the flesh desireth things contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit things contrary to the flesh: and these are opposite to each other; so that ye do not those things which ye would.

18 Fa raha tarihin’ ny Fanahy ianareo, dia tsy mba ambanin’ ny lalàna.

But if ye be led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Fa miharihary ny asan’ ny nofo, dia izao: Fijangajangana, fahalotoana, fijejojejoana,

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, such as, adultery, fornication, uncleanness,

20 fanompoan-tsampy, fanaovana ody ratsy, fandrafiana, fifandirana, adi-lahy, fiafonafonana, fifampiandaniana, fisarahana, fitokoana,

lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strifes, emulations, animosities, contentions, divisions,

21 fialonana, fahamamoana, filalaovan-dratsy, ary ny toy izany, izay lazaiko aminareo rahateo, tahaka ny voalazako fahiny koa, fa izay manao izany dia tsy handova ny fanjakan’ Andriamanitra.

heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and the like: of which I forewarn you, as I have also told you before, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 Fa ny vokatry ny Fanahy kosa dia fitiavana, fifaliana, fiadanana, fahari-po fahamoram-panahy, fanaovan-tsoa, fahamarinana,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,

23 fahalemem-panahy, fahononam-po; tsy misy lalàna manohitra izany.

gentleness, goodness, fidelity, meekness, temperance: against such things there is no law.

24 Fa izay an’ Kristy Jesosy dia efa nanombo ny nofony mbamin’ ny faniriany sy ny filany tamin’ ny hazo fijaliana.

And they, that are Christ's, have crucified the flesh with it's passions and desires.

25 Raha velon’ ny Fanahy isika, dia aoka handeha araka ny Fanahy.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Aoka isika tsy handrani-tena foana ka hifampihaika sy hifampialona.

Let us not be vain-glorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
