< Ezra 6 >
1 Ary tamin’ izany Dariosy mpanjaka dia nandidy, ka nizahana ny trano fitehirizan-taratasy, izay nitehirizana ny rakitra tany Babylona.
Then Darius the king gave an order and a search was made in the house of the records, where the things of value were stored up in Babylon.
2 Dia tao Akmeta, tao an-dapa izay any amin’ ny tanin’ ny Mediana, no nahitana horonan-taratasy anankiray, ka voasoratra teo izao tantara izao:
And at Achmetha, in the great house of the king in the land of Media, they came across a roll, in which this statement was put on record:
3 Tamin’ ny taona voalohany nanjakan’ i Kyrosy dia nandidy izy nanao hoe: Ny amin’ ny tranon’ Andriamanitra any Jerosalema, dia aoka hatao mihitsy izany ho fanateran’ ny olona fanatitra, ary aoka hatao mafy ny fanorenany, ka enim-polo hakiho ny hahavony, ary enim-polo hakiho koa ny sakany,
In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king made an order: In connection with the house of God at Jerusalem, let the house be put up, the place where they make offerings, and let the earth for the bases be put in place; let it be sixty cubits high and sixty cubits wide;
4 dia vato vaventy telo an-dalana sy hazo vaovao iray an-dalana; ary aoka haloa avy amin’ ny tranon’ ny mpanjaka izay lany;
With three lines of great stones and one line of new wood supports; and let the necessary money be given out of the king's store-house;
5 ary ny fanaky ny tranon’ Andriamanitra, na ny volamena na ny volafotsy, izay nalain’ i Nebokadnezara tao amin’ ny tempoly tany Jerosalema ka nentiny ho any Babylona, dia aoka haverina ho any amin’ ny tempoly any Jerosalema indray ireo, samy ho amin’ ny fitoerany avy, ka aoka hapetraka ao an-tranon’ Andriamanitra avokoa.
And let the gold and silver vessels from the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took from the Temple at Jerusalem to Babylon, be given back and taken again to the Temple at Jerusalem, every one in its place, and put them in the house of God.
6 Koa amin’ izany, ry Tatenay, governora any an-dafin’ ny ony, sy ry Setara-bozenay mbamin’ ny Afarsakita namanareo, izay any an-dafin’ ny ony, mihataha ianareo.
So now, Tattenai, ruler of the land across the river, and Shethar-bozenai and your people the Apharsachites across the river, keep far from that place:
7 Aza misakana ny fanaovana io tranon’ Andriamanitra io; aoka ny mpanapaka ny Jiosy sy ny loholon’ ny Jiosy hanao io tranon’ Andriamanitra io eo amin’ ilay efa niorenany ihany.
Let the work of this house of God go on; let the ruler of the Jews and their responsible men put up this house of God in its place.
8 Ary izaho manao didy ny amin’ ny hataonareo amin’ ny loholon’ ireo Jiosy ireo hanaovany izany tranon’ Andriamanitra izany: aoka ny haren’ ny mpanjaka, dia ny hetra avy amin’ ny any an-dafin’ ny ony, no handoavana marina izay lany ho an’ ireo lehilahy ireo, mba tsy ho azon-tsampona izy.
Further, I give orders as to what you are to do for the responsible men of the Jews in connection with the building of this house of God: that from the king's wealth, that is, from the taxes got together in the land over the river, the money needed is to be given to these men readily, so that their work may not be stopped.
9 Ary izay zavatra ilainy, na zanak’ omby, na ondrilahy, na zanak’ ondry, ho fanatitra dorana ho an’ Andriamanitry ny lanitra, na vary tritika na sira, na divay sy diloilo, araka izay andidian’ ny mpisorona any Jerosalema, dia aoka homena azy isan’ andro isan’ andro tsy tapaka izany,
And whatever they have need of, young oxen and sheep and lambs, for burned offerings to the God of heaven, grain, salt, wine, and oil, whatever the priests in Jerusalem say is necessary, is to be given to them day by day regularly:
10 mba hanaterany fanatitra ho hanitra ankasitrahana ho an’ Andriamanitry ny lanitra sy hivavahany mba ho ela velona ny mpanjaka mbamin’ ny zanany.
So that they may make offerings of a sweet smell to the God of heaven, with prayers for the life of the king and of his sons.
11 Ary izaho manao didy fa na iza na iza no mandika izao teny izao, dia aoka hangalana hazo avy amin’ ny tranony, ary haorina, dia hahantona eo ny tenany; ary aoka hatao firinga ny tranony noho izany.
And I have given orders that if anyone makes any change in this word, one of the supports is to be pulled out of his house, and he is to be lifted up and fixed to it; and his house is to be made waste for this;
12 Ary Andriamanitra, Izay efa nampitoetra ny anarany teo, anie handringana ny mpanjaka sy ny vahoaka rehetra, izay maninjitra ny tanany handika ny didiko ka handrava izany tranon’ Andriamanitra any Jerosalema izany. Izaho Dariosy no nanao ny didy; aoka hotovina marina tokoa izany.
And may the God who has made it a resting-place for his name send destruction on all kings and peoples whose hands are outstretched to make any change in this or to do damage to this house of God at Jerusalem. I, Darius, have given this order, let it be done with all care.
13 Ary tamin’ izany Tatenay, governora amin’ ny etỳ an-dafin’ ny ony etỳ, sy Setarabozenay mbamin’ ny namany dia nankato marina izany teny efa nampitondrain’ i Dariosy ho any aminy izany.
Then Tattenai, the ruler across the river, and Shethar-bozenai and their people, because of the order given by King Darius, did as he had said with all care.
14 Dia nanao ny trano ny loholon’ ny Jiosy ka nambinina noho ny faminanian’ i Hagay mpaminany sy Zakaria, zanak’ Ido. Ary nanao ny trano izy ka nahavita azy, araka ny didin’ Andriamanitry ny Isiraely sy araka ny didin’ i Kyrosy sy Dariosy ary Artaksersesy, mpanjakan’ i Persia.
And the responsible men of the Jews went on with their building, and did well, helped by the teaching of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah, the son of Iddo. They went on building till it was complete, in keeping with the word of the God of Israel, and the orders given by Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes, king of Persia.
15 Dia vita io trano io tamin’ ny andro fahatelo tamin’ ny volana Adara tamin’ ny taona fahenina nanjakan’ i Dariosy mpanjaka.
And the building of this house was complete on the third day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of the rule of Darius the king.
16 Ary ny Zanak’ Isiraely, na ny mpisorona, na ny Levita, na ny olona sisa izay nody avy tamin’ ny fahababoana, dia nitokana io tranon’ Andriamanitra io tamin’ ny fifaliana;
And the children of Israel, the priests and the Levites, and the rest of those who had come back, kept the feast of the opening of this house of God with joy.
17 ary ny nateriny hitokanana io tranon’ Andriamanitra io dia omby zato sy ondrilahy roan-jato sy zanak’ ondry efa-jato; ary ny ho fanatitra noho ny ota kosa ho an’ ny Isiraely rehetra dia osilahy roa ambin ny folo, araka ny isan’ ny firenen’ Isiraely.
And they gave as offerings at the opening of this house of God a hundred oxen, two hundred sheep, four hundred lambs; and for a sin-offering for all Israel, twelve he-goats, being the number of the tribes of Israel.
18 Dia nanendry ny mpisorona ho amin’ ny firazanany avy sy ny Levita ho amin’ ny antokony avy izy, hanao ny fanompoana an’ Andriamanitra izay any Jerosalema, araka izay voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ i Mosesy.
And they put the priests in their divisions and the Levites in their order, for the worship of God at Jerusalem; as it is recorded in the book of Moses.
19 Ary ny olona izay efa nody avy tamin’ ny fahababoana dia nitandrina ny Paska tamin’ ny andro fahefatra ambin’ ny folo tamin’ ny volana voalohany;
And the children of Israel who had come back kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.
20 fa ny mpisorona sy ny Levita samy efa nanadio ny tenany rahateo, dia nadio izy rehetra ka namono ny Paska ho an’ izay rehetra efa nody avy tamin’ ny fahababoana sy ho an’ ny mpisorona rahalahiny ary ho an’ ny tenany,
For the priests and the Levites had made themselves clean together; they were all clean: and they put the Passover lamb to death for all those who had come back, and for their brothers the priests and for themselves.
21 Dia nihinana izany ny Zanak’ Isiraely izay efa nody avy tamin’ ny fahababoana mbamin’ izay rehetra niavaka ho namany ka niala tamin’ ny fahalotoan’ ny firenena tompon-tany hitady an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely,
And the children of Israel, who had come back, and all those who were joined to them, after separating themselves from the evil ways of the people of the land to become the servants of the Lord, the God of Israel, took food together,
22 ka dia nitandrina ny andro firavoravoana fihinanana ny mofo tsy misy masirasira hafitoana tamin’ ny fifaliana izy; fa Jehovah efa nampifaly azy ary efa nampiova ny fon’ ny mpanjakan’ i Asyria hamindra fo aminy ka hampahery ny tànany tamin’ ny nanaovany ny tranon’ Andriamanitra, dia Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.
And kept the feast of unleavened bread for seven days with joy: for the Lord had made them full of joy, by turning the heart of the king of Assyria to them to give them help in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
