< Ezekiela 7 >
1 Ary tonga tamiko ny tenin’ i Jehovah nanao hoe:
Yahweh gave me another message. [He said]
2 Ary ianao, ry zanak’ olona, dia izao no lazain’ i Jehovah Tompo amin’ ny tanin’ ny Isiraely: Injao ny farany! Eny, mby akaiky ny farany ho amin’ ny vazan-tany efatra.
“You human, this is what [I], Yahweh the Lord, say to [the people] [MTY] of Israel: All of Israel will soon be destroyed.
3 Ankehitriny dia mby akaikinao ny farany, ary halefako aminao ny fahatezerako, dia hotsaraiko araka ny alehanao ianao, ka hatambesatro aminao ny fahavetavetanao rehetra.
[people of Israel], the end has come. I will punish you severely. I will judge you for all the wicked things that you have done, and pay you back for your disgusting behavior.
4 Ary tsy hiantra anao ny masoko, sady tsy hamindra fo Aho; Fa hatambesatro aminao ny lalanao, ary ny fahavetavetanao dia ho eo aminao, ary dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Jehovah.
I will not pity you or act mercifully toward you. I will [surely] punish you for your wicked behavior [DOU]. Then you will know that [it has happened because] I, Yahweh, [have done it].”
5 Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah Tompo: Injao! avy ny loza, dia loza izay tsy misy toa azy!
This is [also] what Yahweh the Lord says: “You will soon experience many terrible disasters!
6 Injao ny farany! Eny, mby akaiky ny farany; Mifoha hamely anao iny, indro, efa mby akaiky iny.
This will be the [of Israel]; your country will be finished! And your [lives] will be ended [PRS]!
7 Mby akaiky ny anjaranao, ry mponina amin’ ny tany; Mby akaiky ny fotoana, efa antomotra ny andro, dia akoran’ ady, fa tsy fihobiana, eny an-tendrombohitra.
It will be the end of you people who live in the [of Israel]. The time has come; the [when you will be destroyed] is near. At that time [the people who worship idols] on the mountains will not be happy; they will panic.
8 Ary vetivety foana dia hampidiniko aminao ny fahatezerako, Ary hotanterahiko aminao ny fahavinirako; ka hotsaraiko araka ny alehanao ianao, ary hatambesatro aminao ny fahavetavetanao.
I am very angry with you and am about to pour out my punishment [MTY] on you. I will judge you for all the wicked things that you have done and pay you back for your disgusting behavior.
9 Ary tsy hiantra anao ny masoko, sady tsy hamindra fo Aho; Hatambesatro aminao ny lalanao, ary ny fahavetavetanao dia ho eo aminao, ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho Jehovah no mamely.
I will not pity you or act mercifully toward you. I will surely punish you for your wicked behavior [DOU]. Then you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who have punished you.
10 Indro ny andro, indro mby akaiky iny! Miseho ny anjaranao. Mamonjy ny tsorakazo, manorobona ny avonavona!
The [of your punishment] is here! It has arrived! Disasters have come.
11 Ny fanaovana an-keriny dia mitsangana ho tsorakazo hamelezana ny faharatsiana; tsy hisy sisa intsony aminy, na ny hamaroany, na ny hareny, na ny zava-mendrika eo aminy.
People are acting violently and doing more wicked things. And nothing that belongs to those people will be left, none of their money, nothing that is valuable.
12 Mby akaiky ny fotoana, antomotra ny andro; aoka tsy hifaly ny mpividy, ary aoka halahelo ny mpivarotra; Fa iharan’ ny fahatezerana mirehitra ny hamaroany rehetra.
Now is the time; that day has arrived.
13 Fa ny mpivarotra tsy hifodian’ izay efa lafony, na dia mbola isan’ ny velona aza izy; Fa ny fahitana ny amin’ ny hanjo ny hamaroanay dia tsy hitsoaka, ary tsy hisy ampahery ny ainy amin’ ny helony.
People who buy things should not [because of buying things very cheaply], and those who sell things should not be [because they had to sell things cheaply], [Yahweh] will be punishing [MTY] everyone. During the rest of their lives, people who sell some of their property will never be able to buy it back, because I, Yahweh, will never change my mind about what I have declared; because of your sins, [I will destroy] all of you people.
14 Efa nitsoka ny trompetra izy ka nahavonona ny zavatra rehetra, nefa tsy misy mankany amin’ ny ady, satria iharan’ ny fahatezerako mirehitra ny hamaroany rehetra.
Even though [soldiers] blow [to prepare for] a battle, no soldier will go into a battle, because I will have killed all of them.
15 Ny sabatra no eny ivelany, ary ny areti-mandringana sy ny mosary kosa no ao anatiny; Izay any an-tsaha dia ho fatin-tsabatra, ary izay any an-tanàna kosa dia ho levon’ ny mosary sy ny areti-mandringana.
[When those things happen, your enemies] will be [the city] with their swords, and there will be plagues and famines [the city]. [who flee from the city] into the countryside will be killed [their enemies’] swords, and those who stay in the city will die from famines and plagues.
16 Ary na dia misy afa-mandositra aza, dia ho any an-tendrombohitra izy ka ho toy ny voromailala an-dohasaha: Izy rehetra dia samy hitoloko avokoa noho ny helony.
Those who survive and escape will flee to the mountains, and they all will moan like doves because of their sins.
17 Hiraviravy ny tanana rehetra, ary ho rano ny lohalika rehetra;
[Because everyone will be very afraid, ] all the people’s hands will become limp and their knees will become very weak.
18 Hisikina lamba fisaonana koa izy, ka ho menatra ny tava rehetra.
They will put on clothes made from rough cloth, and they will be terrified. Their faces will show that they are ashamed, and they will shave their [to show that they are very sad].
19 Ny volafotsiny dia harianay eny an-dalambe, ary ny volamenany hataony ho maharikoriko, ny volafotsiny sy ny volamenany tsy hahavonjy azy amin’ ny andro fahatezeran’ ny Jehovah Tsy hahavoky ny fanahiny na hahafeno ny kibony izany, fa tonga fahatafintohinana mahameloka azy.
They will throw their silver into the streets, and consider that their gold is only like [SIM] garbage, because they will realize that their silver and gold will not be able to rescue them when I, Yahweh, punish them. They will not be able to use their gold and silver to buy things to fill their stomachs, because having a lot of gold and silver has led them to sin.
20 Fa ny firàvany tsara tarehy dia nataony ho rehareha sady nentiny nanao ireo sary fahavetavetany, dia ireo zava-dratsiny, koa izany no efa nanaovako ireny ho zava-maharikoriko azy.
They were proud of their beautiful jewelry, and they used it to make their detestable idols and disgusting [of their gods]. So I will cause them to be disgusted with those things.
21 Ary hatolotro ho babo eny an-tànan’ ny hafa firenena izy, Eny, ho babo ho an’ ny ratsy fanahy amin’ ny tany, ka holotoin’ ireny izy.
I will give their silver and gold to foreigners who invade your country and take away your valuable treasures. I will give those things to wicked people, and they will do disgraceful things to those treasures that I give them.
22 Dia hiamboho azy koa Aho, ka holotoiny ny rakitro; Fa hiditra ao aminy ny mpandroba ka handoto azy.
I will not (interfere with/stop) [IDM] robbers when they enter my sacred temple and desecrate it.
23 Manefa gadra, fa efa feno fitsarana ny amin’ ny fandatsahan-drà ny tany, ary feno fampahoriana ny tanàna.
Prepare chains to be fastened on you. People are being murdered [MTY] throughout the country, and people are acting violently throughout the city.
24 Ka dia hitondra izay jentilisa ratsy indrindra Aho, ary ho lasan’ ireny ny tranony; dia hatsahatro ny avonavon’ ny mahery, ary ho lotoina ny fitoerany masìna.
So I will bring armies of the nations whose people are extremely wicked to occupy the houses of the Israeli people. I will cause Israeli [who think that they] are [IRO] strong/mighty to no longer be proud. Your enemies will cause your places of worship to no longer be acceptable to be used.
25 Ho avy ny fandringanana; ary hitady fiadanana izy, fa tsy hisy.
When your enemies cause you to be terrified, you will plead for them to make peace, but there will be no peace.
26 Mifanontona ny fandravana, ary mifanindry ny filazan-doza; Dia manontany fahitana amin’ ny mpaminany izy, fa tsy misy lalàna intsony amin’ ny mpisorona, na fahendrena amin’ ny anti-panahy.
You will experience many disasters, and you will continually hear [about disasters that are happening in other places]. People will plead with prophets to tell them what visions they have received, [but the prophets will not have received any visions]. Priests will no longer teach people the [that I gave to Moses].
27 Hitomany ny mpanjaka, eny, hitafy fahatalanjonana ny andriana, ary hangovitra ny tanan’ ny vahoaka; Araka ny alehany no hataoko aminy, ary hotsaroiko araka ny fitsarana nataony izy, ka dia fantany fa Izaho no Jehovah.
Your king will mourn, and his son will no [longer] [that good things will happen]. The hands of people throughout the country will tremble. And I will do to them what they deserve for their wicked behavior. I will [and condemn] them the same way they have [and condemned] others. Then they will know that I, Yahweh, [have the power to do what I say that I will do].”
