1 Ary ny tabernakely dia hataonao ambainy folo amin’ ny rongony fotsy madinika voahasina sy manga sy volomparasy ary mena; kerobima, asan’ ny mpanenona mahay, no hataonao sorany.
“[Tell the people to] make the Sacred Tent using ten long strips of fine linen. They must take blue, purple, and red thread (OR, weave the strips from blue, purple, and red thread), and [a skilled craftsman] must embroider these strips with [designs that represent] the winged creatures [that are above the chest].
2 Ny halavan’ ny ambainy iray dia valo amby roa-polo hakiho; ary ny lambanan’ ny ambainy iray dia efatra hakiho; hitovy ohatra ny ambainy rehetra.
Each strip is to be (14 yards/twelve meters) long and (2 yards/1.8 meters) wide.
3 Ambainy dimy no havitrana ho iray; ary ambainy dimy koa no havitrana ho iray.
[Tell them to] sew five strips together to make one set, and sew the other five strips together to make another set.
4 Ary manaova tadivavarana manga ho eo an-tsisin’ ny ambainy iray, dia eo an-tsisin’ ny anankiray efa voavitrana; ary manaova toy izany koa amin’ ny ambainy farany, dia eo an-tsisin’ ny anankiray efa voavitrana koa.
For each set, [they must] make loops of blue [cloth] and fasten them along the outer edge of the strip, at the end of each set.
5 Tadivavarana dimam-polo no hataonao eo amin’ ny ambainy iray, ary tadivavarana dimam-polo koa no hataonao eo amin’ ny sisin’ ny ambainy izay amin’ ny anankiray efa voavitrana koa; ary hifandray ny tadivavarana.
[They must] put 50 loops on the edge of the first set, and 50 loops on the edge of the second set.
6 Ary manaova farango volamena dimam-polo, ka akambano amin’ ny farango ny ambainy, ka dia ho voakambana ho iray ny tabernakely.
[Tell them to] make 50 gold clasps/fasteners, to fasten both of the sets together. As a result, the inside of the Sacred Tent will be [as though it was] one piece.
7 Ary manaova ambainy koa amin’ ny volon’ osy ho lay handrakofana ny tabernakely; dia iraika ambin’ ny folo ambainy no hanaovanao azy.
Also, [tell them to] make a cover for the Sacred Tent from eleven pieces of cloth made from goats’ hair.
8 Ny halavan’ ny ambainy iray dia telo-polo hakiho, ary ny lambanan’ ny ambainy iray dia efatra hakiho; hitovy ohatra ny ambainy iraika ambin’ ny folo.
Each piece of cloth is to be (15 yards/13.5 meters) long and (2 yards/1.8 meters) wide.
9 Ary avitrano ny ambainy dimy hikambana, ary ny ambainy enina kosa hikambana. Ary aforeto ny ambainy fahenina amin’ ny sakan’ ny lay anatrehana.
[Tell them to] sew five of these pieces of cloth together to make one set, and sew the other six pieces of cloth together to make another set. [They] must fold the sixth piece [of cloth] in half to make it double over the front of the Sacred Tent.
10 Ary manaova tadivavarana dimam-polo eo an-tsisin’ ny ambainy iray izay farany amin’ ny efa voavitrana; ary tadivavarana dimam-polo koa ho eo an-tsisin’ ny ambainy iray amin’ ny anankiray koa efa voavitrana.
[Tell them to] make 100 loops [of blue cloth], and to fasten 50 of them to the outer edge of the one set and fasten 50 to the outer edge of the other set.
11 Ary manaova farango; varahina dimam-polo, ka ampidiro ho eo amin’ ny tadivavarana ary akambano ny lay, ka dia ho iray ihany izy.
[Tell them to] make fifty bronze clasps/fasteners and put them in the cloth loops to join the two sets together. As a result, the cover for the Sacred Tent will be [as though it was] one piece.
12 Ary izay mihoatra amin’ ny ambain’ ny lay, dia ny antsasaky ny ambainy izay mihoatra, dia avelao hiraviravy eo ivohon’ ny tabernakely.
[Let] the extra part of the cover, the part that extends beyond [the linen cloth], hang over the back of the Sacred Tent.
13 Ary ny iray hakiho avy eo amin’ ny lohany roa amin’ ny lamba, izay mihoatra amin’ ny halavan’ ny ambain’ ny lay, dia avelao hiraviravy eo amin’ ny lafibeny roa amin’ ny tabernakely handrakotra azy.
The extra half yard/meter of each cover, the part that extends beyond [the linen cloth] on each side, must hang over the two sides of the Sacred Tent, to protect the sides.
14 Ary manaova koa rakotry ny lay amin’ ny hoditr’ ondrilahy efa nomenaina, ary manaova sarony hodi-takasy ho eo amboniny.
[Tell them to] make two more covers for the Sacred Tent. One is to be made from rams’ skins that have been (tanned/dyed red), and the top cover is to be made from goatskin leather.”
15 Ary manaova zana-kazo akasia ho amin’ ny tabernakely.
“[Tell them to] make frames from acacia wood, frames that will be set up [from which to hang the Sacred Tent covers].
16 Folo hakiho ny hahavon’ ny zana-kazo iray, ary iray hakiho sy sasany ny indraben’ ny zana-kazo iray.
Each frame is to be (five yards/four meters) long and (27 in./66 cm.) wide.
17 Lahiny roa no ho amin’ ny zana-kazo iray, ka hasiana izay hikambanany; izany no hanaovanao ny zana-kazo rehetra amin’ ny tabernakely.
[They] must make two projections at the bottom of each frame. These will be to fasten the frames to the bases underneath them. They must make these projections at the bottom of each frame.
18 Ary manaova ny zana-kazo ho amin’ ny tabernakely, dia zana-kazo roa-polo ho eo amin’ ny lafiny atsimo.
Make 20 frames for the south side of the Sacred Tent.
19 Ary manaova faladia volafotsy efa-polo, dia faladia roa avy ho ambanin’ ny isan-janakazo iray hiorenan’ ny lahiny roa.
[Tell them to] make 40 silver bases to go underneath them. Two bases will go under each frame. The projections [at the bottom] of each frame are [to be made] to fit into the bases.
20 Ary manaova zana-kazo roa-polo ho eo amin’ ny lafiny faharoa amin’ ny tabernakely, dia ny lafiny avaratra.
[Similarly], [tell them to] make twenty frames for the north side of the Sacred Tent.
21 Ary manaova faladiany volafotsy efa-polo, dia faladia roa avy ho ambanin’ ny isan-janakazo iray.
[They] must make 40 silver bases for them also, with two bases to be put under each frame.
22 Ary ny lafiny andrefana amin’ ny tabernakely, izay ao ivohony, dia hanaovanao zana-kazo enina.
For the rear of the Sacred Tent, on the west side, [tell them to] make six frames.
23 Ary zana-kazo roa no hataonao ho eo amin’ ny zoron’ ny tabernakely amin’ ny lafiny ivoho.
Also, [tell them to] make two extra frames, one for each corner of the rear of the Sacred Tent, [to provide extra support].
24 Ary hakambana ho iray izy hatramin’ ny ambany ka hatramin’ ny ambony, ka hasianao vava vola iray ihany: ho toy izany avokoa izy roa; eo amin’ ny zorony roa no hisy izany.
The two corner frames must be joined from the bottom to the top (OR, joined at both the bottom and the top). At the top of each of the two corner frames there must be a gold ring for holding the crossbar.
25 Ary aoka hisy zana-kazo valo sy ny faladiany volafotsy, dia faladia enina ambin’ ny folo: faladia roa avy ho ambanin’ ny isan-janakazo iray.
In that way, [for the rear of the Sacred Tent] there will be eight frames, and there will be 16 bases, two under each frame.
26 Ary manaova barany hazo akasia: dia dimy ho amin’ ny zana-kazo amin’ ny lafiny iray amin’ ny tabernakely,
[Tell them to] make 15 crossbars from acacia wood.
27 sy barany dimy ho amin’ ny zana-kazo amin’ ny lafiny iray koa amin’ ny tabernakely, ary barany dimy ho amin’ ny zana-kazo amin’ ny lafiny andrefana izay ao ivohony.
Five of them will be for the frames on the north side of the Sacred Tent, five will be for the south side, and five for the frames at the rear of the Sacred Tent, the west side.
28 Ary ny barany afovoany, izay afovoan’ ny zana-kazo, dia hahatratra ny farany roa.
Tell them to fasten the crossbars on the north, south, and west sides of the Sacred Tent to the middle of the frames. The two long ones must extend from one end of the Sacred Tent to the other, and the crossbar on the west side must extend from one side of the Sacred Tent to the other.
29 Ary ny zana-kazo hopetahanao takela-bolamena, ary hataonao volamena koa ny vava vola aminy, izay hitoeran’ ny barany; ary petaho takela-bolamena koa ny barany.
[Tell them to] cover the frames with gold, and make gold rings to fasten the crossbars to the frames. The crossbars must [also] be covered with gold.
30 Ary manangana ny tabernakely araka ny endriny, dia ilay naseho taminao tao an-tendrombohitra.
Erect the Sacred Tent in the way that I have shown you [here] on [this] mountain.”
31 Ary manaova efitra lamba manga sy volomparasy sy mena ary rongony fotsy madinika voahasina; kerobima, asan’ ny mpanenona mahay, no hataonao sorany.
“[Tell them to] make a curtain from fine linen. A skilled craftsman must embroider it with blue, purple, and red yarn/thread, making [designs to represent] the winged creatures [that are above the chest].
32 Ary ahantòny amin’ ny andry hazo akasia efatra izay voapateka takela-bolamena izy; ho volamena koa ny fihantonany; ary eo amin’ ny faladia volafotsy efatra no hiorenany.
[Tell them to] suspend/hang the curtain from four posts made from acacia wood and covered with gold. Set [each] post in a silver base.
33 Ary ny efitra lamba dia ataovy eo ambanin’ ny farango; ary ampidiro ao anatin’ ny efitra lamba ny fiaran’ ny Vavolombelona; ary ny efitra lamba no hampisaraka ny fitoerana masìna sy ny fitoerana masìna indrindra ho anareo.
[They] must suspend/hang the [top of the] curtain by hooks that are fastened to the roof of the Sacred Tent. Behind the curtain, in the [room called the] Very Holy Place, [they] must put the chest containing the [two stone slabs on which I have written my] commandments. That curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Very Holy Place.
34 Ary ny rakotra fanaovam-panavotana dia ataovy eo ambonin’ ny fiaran’ ny Vavolombelona eo amin’ ny fitoerana masìna indrindra.
On top of the chest in the Very Holy Place [they] must put the lid which will be the place where [blood will be sprinkled to] forgive people’s sins.
35 Ary apetraho eo ivelan’ ny efitra ny latabatra, ary ny fanaovan-jiro tandrifin’ ny latabatra amin’ ny lafiny atsimo amin’ ny tabernakely; ary ny latabatra ataovy eo amin’ ny lafiny avaratra.
[In the room that is] outside of the Very Holy Place, [they] must put the table [for the sacred] bread on the north side, and put the lampstand on the south side.
36 Ary manaova varavarana lamba ho eo amin’ ny lay, dia amin’ ny manga sy volomparasy sy mena ary rongony fotsy madinika voahasina, asan’ ny mahay tenona samy hafa soratra.
[Tell them to] make a curtain to [cover] the entrance of the Sacred Tent. They must make it from fine linen, and a skilled weaver must embroider it with blue, purple, and red yarn/thread.
37 Ary manaova andry hazo akasia dimy ho amin’ ny varavarana lamba, ka petaho takela-bolamena; ary ho volamena koa ny fihantonany; ary mandrendreha faladia varahina dimy hiorenany.
To hold up this curtain, [they] must make five posts from acacia wood. [They] must cover them with gold, and fasten gold clasps/fasteners to them. Also [they] must make a bronze base for each of these posts.”
