< Eksodosy 21 >

1 Ary izao no lalàna izay hataonao eo anatrehany:
“Now these are the decrees that you must set before them:
2 Raha mividy andevo Hebreo ianao, dia enin-taona no hanompoany, ary amin’ ny taona fahafito dia hiala ho afaka fotsiny izy.
'If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve for six years, and in the seventh year he will go free without paying anything.
3 Raha izy irery ihany no miditra, dia izy irery hany no hiala; fa raha manam-bady izy, dia hiala hiaraka aminy koa ny vadiny.
If he came by himself, he must go free by himself; if he is married, then his wife must go free with him.
4 Raha manome vady azy ny tompony, ka miteraka zazalahy na zazavavy aminy izy, dia ho an’ ny tompony ihany ny vadiny sy ny zanany, fa izy irery ihany no hiala.
If his master gave him a wife and she bore him sons or daughters, the wife and her children will belong to her master, and he must go free by himself.
5 Fa raha milaza marimarina ilay andevo ka manao hoe: Tsy foiko ny tompoko sy ny vadiko ary ny zanako, ka tsy te-ho afaka aho,
But if the servant plainly says, “I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,”
6 dia ho entin’ ny tompony ho eo anatrehan’ Andriamanitra izy, ary dia ho entiny ho eo amin’ ny varavarana, na ho eo amin’ ny tolam-baravarana, ka hotevehin’ ny tompony amin’ ny haolo ny sofiny; dia hanompo azy mandrakizay izy.
then his master must bring him to God. The master must bring him to a door or doorpost, and his master must bore his ear through with an awl. Then the servant will serve him for life.
7 Ary raha misy mivaro-janakavavy ho vaditsindranon’ olona, dia tsy mba ho tahaka ny fialan’ ny andevolahy ho afaka no fialany.
If a man sells his daughter as a female servant, she must not go free as the male servants do.
8 Fa raha tsy ankasitrahan’ ny tompony, izay nikasa hanambady azy, ravehivavy, dia havelany havotana ihany izy; tsy hahazo mivarotra azy ho any amin’ ny firenena hafa izy, satria efa namitaka azy.
If she does not please her master, who has designated her for himself, then he must let her be bought back. He has no right to sell her to a foreign people. He has no such right, since he has treated her deceitfully.
9 Ary raha mamofo azy ho vadin’ ny zananilahy izy, dia araka ny fitondra zanakavavy no hataony aminy.
If her master designates her as a wife for his son, he must treat her the same as if she were his daughter.
10 Ary raha maka vehivavy hafa ho vadiny izy, dia tsy hahenany ny fihinany sy ny fitafiany ary ny fombam-panambadiany.
If he takes another wife for himself, he must not diminish her food, clothing, or her marital rights.
11 Ary raha tsy hataony aminy izany zavatra telo loha izany, dia hiala ho afaka fotsiny ravehivavy, fa tsy handoa vola.
But if he does not provide these three things for her, then she can go free without paying any money.
12 Izay mamely olona ka mahafaty azy dia hatao maty tokoa;
Whoever strikes a man so that he dies, that person must surely be put to death.
13 fa izay tsy manotrika, fa Andriamanitra no manolotra azy eo an-tànany, dia hanendry ho anareo fitoerana izay handosirany Aho.
If the man did not do it with premeditation, but instead by accident, then I will fix a place to where he can flee.
14 Ary raha misy olona avy sahisahy amin’ ny namany hamono azy amin’ ny fahafetsena, dia halainao izy, na dia eo amin’ ny alitarako aza, mba hovonoina ho faty.
If a man willfully attacks his neighbor and kills him according to a cunning plan, then you must take him, even if he is at God's altar, so that he may die.
15 Ary izay mamely ny rainy na ny reniny dia hatao maty tokoa.
Whoever hits his father or mother must surely be put to death.
16 Ary izay mangalatra olona, na efa namidiny, na mbola hita eo an-tànany ihany ilay nangalariny, dia hatao maty tokoa.
Whoever kidnaps a person—whether the kidnapper sells him, or that person is found in his hand—that kidnapper must be put to death.
17 Ary izay manozona ny rainy na ny reniny dia hatao maty tokoa.
Whoever curses his father or his mother must surely be put to death.
18 Ary raha misy olona mifanditra, ka ny anankiray mamely ny namany amin’ ny vato, na amin’ ny totohondry, koa tsy maty izy, fa marary ambany tsihy,
If men fight and one hits the other with a stone or with his fist, and that person does not die, but is confined to his bed;
19 raha afa-mitsangana indray ka mandehandeha mitehina eny ala-trano izy, dia ho afa-tsiny ilay namely azy; kanefa handoa ny hevitr’ andro tsy nanaovany zavatra izy sady hitsabo azy mandra-pahasitrany.
then if he recovers and is able to walk about using his staff, the man who struck him must pay for the loss of his time; he must also pay for his complete recovery. But that man is not guilty of murder.
20 Ary raha misy olona mikapoka ny andevolahiny na ny andevovaviny amin’ ny tsorakazo ka mahafaty azy eo am-pikapohana, dia hovaliana tokoa izy.
If a man hits his male servant or his female servant with a staff, and if the servant dies as a result of the blow, then that man must surely be punished.
21 Kanefa raha mbola velona maharitra indray andro na indroa andro izy, dia tsy hovaliana ilay tompony; fa hareny ihany izy.
However, if the servant lives for a day or two, the master must not be punished, for he will have suffered the loss of the servant.
22 Ary raha misy olona mifanditra ka mandratra vehivavy manan’ anaka, ka teraka tsy tonga volana ny zanany, kanefa tsy misy maninona, dia hosazina tokoa ilay olona araka izay hanaovan’ ny vadin-dravehivavy azy; ary handoa araka izay handidian’ ny mpitsara izy.
If men fight together and hurt a pregnant woman so that she miscarries, but there is no other injury to her, then the guilty man must surely be fined as the woman's husband demands it from him, and he must pay as the judges determine.
23 Fa raha misy maninona kosa, dia hanome aina solon’ ny aina ianao,
But if there is serious injury, then you must give a life for a life,
24 maso solon’ ny maso, nify solon’ ny nify, tanana solon’ ny tanana, tongotra solon’ ny tongotra,
an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a hand for a hand, a foot for a foot,
25 may solon’ ny may, ratra solon’ ny ratra, mivatra solon’ ny mivatra.
a burn for a burn, a wound for a wound, or a bruise for a bruise.
26 Ary raha misy olona mamely ny mason’ ny andevolahiny na ny mason’ ny andevovaviny ka mahasimba azy, dia halefany ho afaka izy noho ny masony.
If a man hits the eye of his male servant or of his female servant and destroys it, then he must let the servant go free in compensation for his eye.
27 Ary raha ny nifin’ ny andevolahy na ny andevovavy no afany, dia halefany ho afaka koa izy noho ny nifiny.
If he knocks out a tooth of his male servant or female servant, he must let the servant go free as compensation for the tooth.
28 Ary raha misy omby manoto lehilahy na vehivavy ka mahafaty azy, dia hotoraham-bato tokoa ny omby, ary tsy hohanina ny henany; ary ny tompon’ ilay omby dia ho afa-tsiny.
If an ox gores a man or a woman to death, the ox must surely be stoned, and its flesh must not be eaten; but the ox's owner must be acquitted of guilt.
29 Fa raha omby efa zatra nanoto hatramin’ ny teo aloha iny, sady efa nambara tamin’ ny tompony izany, nefa izy no tsy niaro azy, koa nahafaty lehilahy na vehivavy ny omby, dia hotoraham-bato ny omby, ary ny tompony koa hovonoina.
But if the ox had a habit of goring in the past, and its owner was warned but did not keep it in, and the ox has killed a man or a woman, that ox must be stoned, and its owner also must be put to death.
30 Raha sazina izy, dia handoa vidin’ aina araka izay sazy atao aminy.
If a payment is required for his life, he must pay whatever he is required to pay.
31 Raha manoto zazalahy na zazavavy ny omby, dia araka izany lalàna izany koa no hanaovana azy.
If the ox has gored a man's son or daughter, the ox's owner must do what this decree requires him to do.
32 Raha manoto andevolahy na andevovavy izy, dia homena sekely volafotsy telo-polo ny tompon’ andevo, ary ny omby hotoraham-bato.
If the ox gores a male servant or a female servant, the ox's owner must pay thirty shekels of silver, and the ox must be stoned.
33 Ary raha misy olona manokatra lavaka, na raha misy olona mihady lavaka, ka tsy rakofany, ary misy omby na boriky latsaka ao,
If a man opens a pit, or if a man digs a pit and does not cover it, and an ox or a donkey falls into it,
34 dia hanonitra azy ny tompon-davaka, ka vola no haloany ho an’ ny tompony; ary ny maty dia ho azy.
the owner of the pit must repay the loss. He must give money to the dead animal's owner, and the dead animal will become his.
35 Ary raha misy ombin’ olona mandratra ny ombin’ ny namany ka mahafaty azy, dia hamidiny ny omby velona, ka hozarainy ny vola vidiny; ary ny maty koa hozarainy.
If one man's ox hurts another man's ox so that it dies, then they must sell the live ox and divide its price, and they must also divide the dead ox.
36 Kanefa raha fantatra fa omby zatra nanoto hatramin’ ny teo aloha iny, koa tsy niaro azy ny tompony, dia hanonitra omby ho solon’ ny omby tokoa izy; ary ny maty dia ho azy.
But if it was known that the ox had a habit of goring in time past, and its owner has not kept it in, he must surely pay ox for ox, and the dead animal will become his own.
