1 Raha misy lehilahy maka vady ka mampakatra azy, ary tsy tiany intsony ravehivavy noho ny ahitany fahalotoana eo aminy, dia aoka hanoratra taratasy fisaoram-bady ho an-dravehivavy Izy ary hanolotra izany eo an-tànany ka hampiala azy ao an-tranony.
When a man takes a wife and marries her, then it shall be, if she finds no chen ·grace· in his eyes, because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a get ·bill of divorce·, and put it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 Ary rehefa miala ao an-tranony ravehivavy, dia mahazo mandeha ka manambady olon-kafa.
When she has departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
3 Ary raha tsy tia an-dravehivavy ilay vao manambady azy ka manoratra taratasy fisaoram-bady koa ary manolotra izany eo an-tànany ka mampiala azy ao an-tranony, na maty ilay nanambady azy taoriana:
If the latter husband hates her, and write her a bill of divorce, and puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, who took her to be his wife;
4 ilay nanambady azy taloha ka nisaotra azy dia tsy mahazo manambady azy intsony, rehefa voaloto izy; fa fahavetavetana eo imason’ i Jehovah izany; ary aza mampiditra heloka amin’ ny tany, izay omen’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ho lovanao.
her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is detestable to Adonai. You shall not cause the land to sin ·err (from the standard goal)·, which Adonai your God gives you for an inheritance.
5 Raha misy lehilahy vao nampaka-bady, dia tsy handeha hiantafika izy, ary tsy hampanaovina fanompoana akory, fa havela hitoetra ao an-tranony herintaona ka hampifaly ny vadiny izay vao nampakariny.
When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business. He shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
6 Aza misy olona maka ny fikosoham-bary ho tsatòka, na ny vatony ambony aza; fa maka aina ho tsatòka izany.

If a man is found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel [God prevails], and he deals with him as a slave, or sells him; then that thief shall die. So you shall remove the evil from among you.
8 Mitandrema ny amin’ ny habokana, ka araho tsara izay rehetra hatoron’ ireo Levita mpisorona anareo; araka izay nandidiako azy no hotandremanareo harahina.
Be careful in the plague of tzara'at, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites [Descendants of United with] teach you. As I enjoined them, so you shall observe to do.
9 Tsarovy izay nataon’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao tamin’ i Miriama teny an-dalana tamin’ ny nandehananareo avy tany Egypta.
Remember what Adonai your God did to Miriam [Rebellion], by the way as you came out of Egypt [Abode of slavery].

You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge outside to you.
12 Ary raha malahelo ralehilahy, dia aza tananao miloaka alina ny antoka,
If he is a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge.
13 fa tsy maintsy haverinao aminy mihitsy, rehefa tokony ho maty masoandro, mba hirakofany ny lambany, ka hisaorany anao; dia ho fahamarinana ho anao eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao izany.
You shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment, and bless you. It shall be righteousness to you before Adonai your God.

You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers, or one of the foreigners who are in your land within your gates.
15 Fa andro anaovany ihany no hanomezanao azy ny karamany, raha mbola tsy milentika ny masoandro, fa malahelo izy, ka izany no irin’ ny fony; fandrao hitaraina amin’ i Jehovah noho ny nataonao izy, dia ho fahotana aminao izany.
In his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it; lest he cry against you to Adonai, and it be crime deserving peanlty, sin ·missing the goal· to you.
16 Ny ray tsy hatao maty amin’ ny ataon’ ny zanany, ary ny zanaka tsy hatao maty amin’ ny ataon’ ny rainy; fa samy hatao maty amin’ ny fahotany avy ihany ny olona.
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers. Every man shall be put to death for his own crime deserving peanlty, sin ·missing the goal·.
17 Aza manao fitsarana miangatra amin’ ny vahiny sy ny kamboty; ary aza maka ny fitafian’ ny mpitondratena ho tsatòka.
You shall not deprive the foreigner or the orphan of mishpat ·justice·, nor take a widow’s clothing in pledge;
18 Fa tsarovy fa andevo tany Egypta ianao, ary Jehovah Andriamanitrao efa nanavotra anao ho afaka tany; koa izany no andidiako anao hanao izany zavatra izany.
but you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt [Abode of slavery], and Adonai your God redeemed you there. Therefore I enjoin you to do this thing.
19 Raha mijinja ny varinao any an-tsaha ianao, ka misy amboara hadinonao any, dia aza miverina haka azy; fa aoka ho an’ ny vahiny sy ny kamboty ary ny mpitondratena izany; mba hotahin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao amin’ ny asa rehetra ataon’ ny tananao.
When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it. It shall be for the foreigner, for the orphan, and for the widow; that Adonai your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
20 Raha manintsana ny hazo olivanao ianao, dia aza miverina hitsimpona izay sisa; fa aoka ho an’ ny vahiny sy ny kamboty ary ny mpitondratena izany.

You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. Therefore I enjoin you to do this thing.
