< Deotoronomia 15 >
1 Ary isam-pito taona dia manaova fanafahana ianao.
You are to cancel debts the end of every seven years.
2 Ary izao no ho fomban’ ny fanafahana: Ny tompon-trosa rehetra izay nampanàna vola tamin’ ny namany dia hamoy izany; tsy hanery ny namany izay rahalahiny handoa izy, satria efa voantso ny fanafahan’ i Jehovah.
This is the way the it will work: If you provided a loan to someone you must cancel it. You are not allowed to collect anything from another Israelite, because the Lord's time of debt cancelation has been announced.
3 Ny olona hafa firenena ihany no azonao terena handoa; fa izay anao amin’ ny rahalahinao kosa dia hafoinao;
You are allowed to collect payments from a foreigner, but you must cancel whatever your fellow Israelite owes you.
4 kanefa tsy dia hisy olo-malahelo eo aminao, fa hitahy anao tokoa Jehovah eo amin’ ny tany izay omen’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ho lovanao,
However, you shouldn't have poor people among you, for the Lord will really bless you in the country that the Lord your God is giving you to own.
5 raha mihaino tsara ny feon’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao ka mitandrina hanaraka izao lalàna rehetra izao, izay andidiako anao anio.
You just need to make sure you obey the Lord your God, and that you're careful to follow all these commandments I'm giving you today.
6 Fa Jehovah Andriamanitrao hitahy anao araka izay nolazainy taminao; ary hampisambotra ny firenena maro ianao, fa ianao kosa tsy hisambotra; ary hanapaka firenena maro ianao, fa izy kosa tsy mba hanapaka anao.
The Lord your God is going to bless you as he promised. You will lend money to many nations but you won't need to borrow from any of them; you will rule over many nations but you won't be ruled by them.
7 Raha misy malahelo ny rahalahinao ao an-tanànanao anankiray amin’ ny taninao izay omen’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao, dia aza manamafy ny fonao, na manakombona ny tananao, amin’ ny rahalahinao malahelo;
If there are Israelites who are poor in any of your towns in the country the Lord your God is giving you, then you must not be unfeeling or miserly towards them.
8 fa sokafy tsara aminy ny tananao, ka ampisambory izay ilainy, araka izay mahory azy.
On the contrary. You should be generous to them, and lend them whatever they need.
9 Mitandrema fandrao hisy hevi-dratsy ao am-ponao manao hoe: Antomotra ny taona fahafito, dia ny taom-panafahana; ary ho ratsy fijery ny rahalahinao malahelo ianao, ka tsy hanome azy akory ianao; ary hitaraina amin’ i Jehovah hiampanga anao Izy, ka dia ho fahotanao izany.
Make sure you don't think evil thoughts like, “The seventh year is coming up when debts will be canceled,” so that you look down on the poor with a sneer and refuse to give them anything. They will complain to the Lord about you, and you will be found guilty of sin.
10 Omeo tokoa izy, ary aoka tsy halahelo ny fonao raha manome azy, satria izany zavatra izany no hitahian’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao amin’ ny asanao rehetra sy amin’ izay rehetra ataon’ ny tananao.
Give and give again to them, and don't feel irritated when you give. When you give generously the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you decide to do.
11 Fa ny tany tsy ilaozan’ olo-malahelo, koa izany no andidiako anao hoe: Sokafy tsara amin’ ny rahalahinao ny tananao, dia amin’ ny malahelo sy ny mahantra eo amin’ ny taninao.
You will always have those who are poor and in need among you, so that's why I'm telling you to give generously to them.
12 Raha hamidy aminao ny namanao, na lehilahy Hebreo, na vehivavy Hebreo, ka efa nanompo anao enin-taona, dia hovotsoranao ho afaka izy amin’ ny taona fahafito.
If a Hebrew, one of your own people, whether man or woman, sells themselves to you as a slave and works for you for six years, you have to free them in the seventh year.
13 Ary raha hovotsoranao ho afaka izy, dia tsy havelanao handeha fotsiny;
And when you free them, don't send them away with nothing.
14 fa hisy hampitondrainao azy avy amin’ ny ondry aman’ osinao ary avy amin’ ny famoloanao sy ny famiazanao: araka izay efa nitahian’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao no hanomezanao azy.
Give them plenty of gifts: animals from your flocks, grain from your threshing floor, and wine from your winepress. Give to them as generously as the Lord your God has blessed you.
15 Ary tsarovy fa andevo tany amin’ ny tany Egypta ianao, nefa Jehovah Andriamanitrao efa nanavotra anao, koa izany no andidiako anao izao zavatra izao anio.
Don't forget that you were once slaves in Egypt, and the Lord your God set you free. That's why I'm giving you this command today.
16 Kanefa raha hoy izy aminao: Tsy hiala aminao aho, satria tsy foiny ianao sy ny ankohonanao, ka finaritra aminao izy,
However, if your male slave tells you, “I don't want to leave you,” because he loves you and your family and is better off staying with you,
17 dia halainao ny haolo ka hotevehinao amin’ ny varavarana ny sofiny, dia ho mpanomponao mandrakizay izy. Ary toy izany koa no hataonao amin’ ny ankizivavinao.
then use a metal tool to pierce his ear against the door, and he will be your slave for life. Do the same for your female slave.
18 Aza ataonao ho sarotra ny hamotsotra azy ho afaka, fa indroa toraka ny karaman’ ny mpikarama no azonao tamin’ ny nanompoany anao enin-taona; dia hitahy anao Jehovah Andriamanitrao amin’ izay rehetra ataonao.
Don't see it as a problem to free your slave, because your slave's six years of service to you was worth twice what you would have paid to hire someone. The Lord your God will bless you in everything you do for acting in this way.
19 Ny lahy rehetra amin’ ny voalohan-teraky ny ombinao sy ny ondry aman’ osinao dia hohamasininao ho an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao; aza mampiasa ny voalohan-teraky ny ombinao, na manety ny voalohan-teraky ny ondry aman’ osinao.
You are to separate out to give the Lord your God all the firstborn males of your herds and flocks. You must not have the firstborn of your cattle work, and don't shear the firstborn of your sheep.
20 Eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao no hihinananao sy ny ankohonanao azy isan-taona isan-taona eo amin’ ny fitoerana izay hofidin’ i Jehovah.
Every year you and your family are to eat these animals that have been sacrificed in the presence of the Lord your God in the place that the Lord will choose.
21 Fa raha misy kilemany izy: na mandringa, na jamba, na izay kilema ratsy hafa akory, dia aza vonoinao hatao fanatitra ho an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ireny.
However, if an animal has some defect or is lame or blind, in fact if it has any serious defect at all, you are not to sacrifice it to the Lord your God.
22 Ao an-tanànanao ihany no hihinananao ireny; na ny olona maloto na ny madio dia samy mahazo mihinana azy, tahaka ny ahazoany mihinana ny gazela sy ny diera.
Eat it at home. All of you, whether you're ceremonially clean or not, can it eat it just like you would eat a gazelle or a deer,
23 Kanefa ny ràny no aza hanina, fa aidino amin’ ny tany toy ny rano.
but you are not to eat the blood—pour that out on the ground.
