Deotoronomia 14
1 Zanak’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo ianareo, koa aza mitetika ny tenanareo, na manaratra ny eo ambonin’ ny handrinareo noho ny amin’ ny maty.
Ye are the children of the Lord your God. Ye shall not cut yourselues, nor make you any baldnesse betweene your eyes for the dead.
2 Fa firenena masìna ho an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao ka voafidiny ho rakitra soa ho Azy mihoatra noho ny firenena rehetra ambonin’ ny tany.
For thou art an holy people vnto ye Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a precious people vnto himselfe, aboue all the people that are vpon the earth.
3 Aza mihinana izay fahavetavetana.
Thou shalt eate no maner of abomination.
4 Izao no biby izay ho fihinanareo: Ny omby sy ny ondry sy ny osy
These are the beastes, which ye shall eate, the beefe, the sheepe, and the goate,
5 sy ny diera, ny gazela, ny kapreola, ny osi-dia, ny pygarga, ny antilopa ary ny ropikapra:
The hart, and the roe buck, and the bugle, and the wilde goate, and the vnicorne, and the wilde oxe, and the chamois.
6 izay biby rehetra mivaky kitro, ka misaraka tsara ny kitrony sady mandinika, no ho fihinanareo.
And euery beast that parteth ye hoofe, and cleaueth the clift into two clawes, and is of the beasts that cheweth the cudde, that shall ye eate.
7 Nefa amin’ izay mandinika na mivaky kitro dia izao ihany kosa no tsy ho fihinanareo: Ny rameva sy ny rà bitro ary ny hyraka, satria mandinika ihany izy, fa tsy mivaky kitro; maloto aminareo izy;
But these ye shall not eate, of them that chew the cud, and of them that deuide and cleaue the hoofe onely: ye camell, nor the hare, nor the cony: for they chewe the cudde, but deuide not ye hoofe: therefore they shall be vncleane vnto you:
8 ary ny kisoa koa, satria mivaky kitro izy, fa tsy mandinika, maloto aminareo izy; ny henan ireny tsy ho fihinanareo, ary ny fatiny tsy hokasihinareo.
Also the swine, because he deuideth the hoofe, and cheweth not the cud, shalbe vncleane vnto you: ye shall not eate of their flesh, nor touch their dead carkeises.
9 Ary amin’ izay rehetra ao anatin’ ny rano dia izao no ho fihinanareo: izay rehetra misy vombony sy kirany no ho fihinanareo;
These ye shall eate, of all that are in the waters: all that haue finnes and scales shall ye eate.
10 fa izay rehetra tsy misy vombony sy kirany kosa dia tsy ho fihinanareo; maloto aminareo izy.
And whatsoeuer hath no finnes nor scales, ye shall not eate: it shall be vncleane vnto you.
11 Ny vorona madio rehetra no ho fihinanareo.
Of all cleane birdes ye shall eate:
12 Nefa izao kosa no tsy ho fihinanareo: ny voltora sy ny gypa sy ny ankoay
But these are they, whereof ye shall not eate: the eagle, nor the goshawke, nor the osprey,
13 ary ny papango sy ny voromahery sy ny papango mainty, samy araka ny karazany, avy
Nor the glead nor the kite, nor the vulture, after their kind,
14 ary ny goaika rehetra, samy araka ny karazany avy,
Nor all kinde of rauens,
15 ary ny ostritsa sy ny tararaka sy ny vorondriaka ary ny hitsikitsika, samy araka ny karazany avy,
Nor the ostrich, nor the nightcrow, nor the semeaw, nor the hawke after her kinde,
16 ary ny vorondolo sy ny vorondolo lehibe sy ny ibisa
Neither the litle owle, nor the great owle, nor the redshanke,
17 ary ny sama sy ny voltora madinika sy ny manarana
Nor the pellicane, nor the swanne, nor the cormorant:
18 ary ny vano sy ny vanobe, samy araka ny karazany avy, ary ny takidara sy ny manavy.
The storke also, and the heron in his kinde, nor the lapwing, nor the backe.
19 Ary ny zava-mandady rehetra izay manana elatra dia haloto aminareo ka tsy ho fihinanareo.
And euery creeping thing that flieth, shall be vncleane vnto you: it shall not be eaten.
20 Ny zava-manana elatra izay madio no ho fihinanareo.
But of all cleane foules ye may eate.
21 Aza homana izay maty ho azy, fa omeo ho an’ ny vahiny izay ao an-tanànanao izany mba hohaniny, na amidio amin’ ny olona hafa firenena; fa firenena masìna ho an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao. Aza mahandro zanak’ osy amin’ ny rononon-dreniny.
Ye shall eate of nothing that dieth alone, but thou shalt giue it vnto the stranger that is within thy gates, that he may eate it: or thou maiest sell it vnto a stranger: for thou art an holy people vnto the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mothers milke.
22 Aloavy tsara ny ampahafolon’ ny vokatra rehetra avy amin’ ny voa nafafinao, dia ny vokatra any an-tsaha isan-taona;
Thou shalt giue the tithe of all the increase of thy seede, that commeth foorth of the fielde yeere by yeere.
23 dia aoka ho eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao eo amin’ ny tany izany hofidiny hampitoerany ny anarany no hihinananao ny ampahafolon’ ny varinao sy ny ranom-boalobokao sy ny diloilonao ary ny voalohan-teraky ny ombinao sy ny ondry aman’ osinao, mba hianaranao hatahotra an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao mandrakariva.
And thou shalt eate before the Lord thy God (in the place which he shall chose to cause his Name to dwell there) the tithe of thy corne, of thy wine, and of thine oyle, and the first borne of thy kine and of thy sheepe, that thou maiest learne to feare the Lord thy God alway.
24 Fa raha lavitra loatra ny lalana halehanao ka tsy mahatondra izany zavatra izany ianao, satria lavitra anao loatra ny tany izay hofidin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao hampitoerany ny anarany, raha notahin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao,
And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to cary it, because the place is farre from thee, where the Lord thy God shall chose to set his Name, when the Lord thy God shall blesse thee,
25 dia hamidinao vola izany, ary hofonosinao ny vola ka ho entinao eo an-tananao hankany amin’ ny tany izay hofidin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao;
Then shalt thou make it in money, and take the money in thine hand, and goe vnto the place which the Lord thy God shall chose.
26 ary ny vola dia amidio izay rehetra tian’ ny fanahinao, na omby, na ondry, na osy, na divay, na toaka, na izay zavatra hafa tian’ ny fanahinao; ary aoka ho eo anatrehan’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao no hihinananao izany sy hifalianao mbamin’ ny ankohonanao;
And thou shalt bestowe the money for whatsoeuer thine heart desireth: whether it be oxe, or sheepe, or wine, or strong drinke, or whatsoeuer thine heart desireth: and shalt eate it there before the Lord thy God, and reioyce, both thou, and thine household.
27 ary ny Levita izay ao an-tanànanao dia aza foinao; fa tsy manana anjara na lova eo aminao izy.
And the Leuite that is within thy gates, shalt thou not forsake: for he hath neither part nor inheritance with thee.
28 Ary isan-telo taona dia alao ny ampahafolon’ ny vokatrao rehetra amin’ izany taona izany, ka ataovy ao an-tanànanao;
At the end of three yeere thou shalt bring foorth all the tithes of thine increase of the same yeere, and lay it vp within thy gates.
29 ary dia aoka ho avy ny Levita (satria tsy mba manana anjara na lova eo aminao izy) sy ny vahiny sy ny kamboty ary ny mpitondratena izay ao an-tanànanao, dia hihinana izy ka ho voky, mba hotahin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao amin’ ny asan-tananao rehetra izay ataonao.
Then ye Leuite shall come, because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee, and the stranger, and the fatherlesse, and the widowe, which are within thy gates, and shall eate, and be filled, that the Lord thy God may blesse thee in al the worke of thine hand which thou doest.
