Deotoronomia 11

1 Ary tiava an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao, ka tandremo mandrakariva Izay asainy hotandremana, dia ny lalàny sy ny fitsipiny ary ny didiny.

Therefore you shall love YHWH your God, and keep his instructions, and his statutes, and his ordinances, and his commandments, always.

2 Ary aoka ho fantatrao anio, fa izaho tsy miteny amin’ ny zanakareo izay tsy nahalala na nahita ny famaizan’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo sy ny fahalehibiazany sy ny tànany mahery sy ny sandriny nahinjitra

Know this day: for I do not speak with your children who have not known, and who have not seen the chastisement of YHWH your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

3 sy ny famantarany sy ny asany, izay nataony tany Egypta tamin’ i Farao, mpanjakan’ i Egypta, sy ny taniny rehetra,

and his signs, and his works, which he did in the midst of Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land;

4 sy izay nataony tamin’ ny miaramilan’ ny Egyptiana sy ny soavaliny ary ny kalesiny, dia ny nanasaforany azy tao amin’ ny Ranomasina Mena, raha nanenjika anareo Izy, dia voaringan’ i Jehovah mandraka androany,

and what he did to the army of Egypt, to their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how YHWH has destroyed them to this day;

and what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came to this place;

and what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and every living thing that followed them, in the midst of all Israel:

7 fa ny masonareo efa nahita ny asa lehibe rehetra izay nataon’ i Jehovah.

but your eyes have seen all the great work of YHWH which he did.

8 Koa tandremo ny lalàna rehetra izay andidiako anareo anio, mba hahery ianareo, dia hiditra handova ny tany izay efa halehanareo holovana;

Therefore you shall keep every commandment which I command you this day, that you may be strong, and multiply, and go in and possess the land, where you go over to possess it;

9 ary, mba ho maro andro ianareo amin’ ny tany izay nianianan’ i Jehovah tamin’ ny razanareo homena azy sy ny taranany, dia tany izay tondra-dronono sy tantely.

and that you may prolong your days in the land, which YHWH swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.

10 Fa ny tany izay efa hidiranao holovana dia tsy mba tahaka ny tany Egypta, izay nivoahanareo, izay namafazanao ny voan-javatrao sy nandeman’ ny tongotrao rano azy tahaka ny fambolen’ anana.

For the land, where you go in to possess it, isn't as the land of Egypt, that you came out from, where you sowed your seed, and watered it with your feet, as a garden of herbs;

11 Fa ny tany izay efa halehanareo holovana dia tany be tendrombohitra sy lohasaha sady mifoka rano avy amin’ ny ranonoran-danitra,

but the land, where you go over to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys which drinks water of the rain of the sky,

12 dia tany izay tandreman’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao; ny mason’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao mitsinjo azy mandrakariva hatramin’ ny fiandohan’ ny taona ka hatramin’ ny fiafarany.

a land which YHWH your God cares for: the eyes of YHWH your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year.

13 Ary raha hihaino tsara ny didiko izay andidiako anareo anio ianareo ka ho tia an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo sy hanompo Azy amin’ ny fonareo rehetra sy ny fanahinareo rehetra,

It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love YHWH your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14 dia halatsako eo amin’ ny taninareo ny ranonorana amin’ ny fotoany, dia ny loha-orana sy ny fara-orana, mba hanangonanao ny varinao sy ny ranom-boalobokao ary ny diloilonao;

that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, and your new wine, and your oil.

15 ary hampaniriko ahitra ny sahanao ho an’ ny biby fiompinao, ary hihinan-kanina ianao ka ho voky.

I will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be full.

16 Kanefa mitandrema ianareo, fandrao ho voafitaka ny fonareo, ka hivily hanompo andriamani-kafa sy hiankohoka eo anatrehany ianareo;

Be careful, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;

17 ary dia hirehitra aminareo ny fahatezeran’ i Jehovah, dia hanampina ny lanitra Izy, ka tsy hisy ranonorana, ary tsy hahavokatra ny tany; dia ho lany ringana faingana ianareo tsy ho eo amin’ ny tany soa izay omen’ i Jehovah anareo.

and the anger of YHWH be kindled against you, and he shut up the sky, so that there shall be no rain, and the land shall not yield its fruit; and you perish quickly from off the good land which YHWH gives you.

18 Koa alatsaho ao amin’ ny fonareo sy ao amin’ ny fanahinareo izao teniko izao, ary fehezo ho famantarana eo amin’ ny tananareo izy, ka aoka ho fehy fampahatsiarovana eo ambonin’ ny handrinareo;

Therefore you shall lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul; and you shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for symbols between your eyes.

19 ary ampianaro ny zanakareo izany, ka resaho, na mipetraka ao an-tranonao ianao, na mandeha an-dalana, na mandry, na mifoha;

You shall teach them your children, talking of them, when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

20 ary soraty eo amin’ ny tolam-baravaran’ ny tranonao sy eo amin’ ny vavahadinao izy;

You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates;

21 mba ho maro ny andronareo sy ny andron’ ny taranakareo eo amin’ ny tany izay nianianan’ i Jehovah tamin’ ny razanareo homena azy, toy ny faharetan’ ny lanitra ambonin’ ny tany.

that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which YHWH swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.

22 Fa raha hitandrina tsara izao lalàna rehetra izao izay andidiako anareo ianareo ka manaraka azy ary ho tia an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo sy handeha eo amin’ ny lalany rehetra sy hifikitra aminy,

For if you shall diligently keep all this commandment which I command you to do, to love YHWH your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cling to him;

23 dia horoahin’ i Jehovah eo anoloanareo ireo firenena rehetra ireo, ary ianareo haharesy firenena maro, izay lehibe sy mahery noho ianareo.

then will YHWH drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

24 Ny tany rehetra izay hodiavin’ ny faladian’ ny tongotrareo dia ho anareo: hatramin’ ny efitra sy Libanona ary hatramin’ ny ony Eofrata ka hatramin’ ny ranomasina andrefana no ho fari-taninareo.

Every place whereon the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness, and Lebanon, from the river, the river Perath, even to the western sea shall be your border.

25 Tsy hisy olona hahajanona eo anoloanareo, fa hataon’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo ho azon’ ny tahotra sy horohoro anareo ny tany rehetra izay hodiavinareo, araka izay nolazainy taminareo.

No man shall be able to stand before you: YHWH your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you shall tread on, as he has spoken to you.

26 Indro, Izaho mametraka fitahiana sy ozona eo anoloanareo anio:

Look, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:

27 fitahiana, raha hohenoinareo ny didin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo, izay andidiako anareo anio;

the blessing, if you shall listen to the commandments of YHWH your God, which I command you this day;

28 ary ozona kosa, raha tsy hohenoinareo ny didin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo, fa hivily hiala amin’ ny lalana izay andidiako anareo anio mba haleha ianareo ka hanaraka andriamani-kafa izay tsy fantatrareo.

and the curse, if you shall not listen to the commandments of YHWH your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known.

29 Ary rehefa entin’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao ka tafiditra any amin’ ny tany izay alehanao holovana, dia ny fitahiana no hotononinao eo an-tendrombohitra Gerizinia, ary ny fanozonana kosa eo an-tendrombohitra Ebala.

It shall happen, when YHWH your God shall bring you into the land where you go to possess it, that you shall set the blessing on Mount Gerizim, and the curse on Mount Ebal.

30 Tsy any an-dafin’ i Jordana va izy roa, any ankoatry ny lalana andrefana, amin’ ny tanin’ ny Kananita, izay monina eo amin’ ny tani-hay tandrifin’ i Gilgaly, eo anilan’ ny hazo terebintan’ i More?

Aren't they beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites who dwell in the Arabah, over against Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?

31 Fa ianareo efa handeha hita an’ i Jordana ka hiditra sy handova ny tany izay omen’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo anareo, ary handova azy ianareo ka honina eo;

For you are to pass over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which YHWH your God gives you, and you shall possess it, and dwell in it.

32 koa tandremo mba harahinareo ny didy rehetra sy ny fitsipika izay ataoko eo anoloanareo anio.

You shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you this day.
