< Daniela 3 >
1 Nebokadnezara mpanjaka nanao sariolona volamena, enim-polo hakiho ny hahavony, ary enina hakiho ny sakany; dia natsangany teo amin’ ny tany lemaka Dora tamin’ ny fehin’ i Babylona izany.
King Nebuchadnezzar made a gold statue that was sixty cubits tall and six cubits wide. He set it up in the Plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.
2 Ary Nebokadnezara mpanjaka naniraka nampamory ny solom-panjaka sy ny mpanapaka sy ny governora sy ny andriambaventy sy ny mpitahiry ny volam-panjakana sy ny mpahay lalàna sy ny mpitsara ary ny komandy isan-tokony mba hanamasina ilay sariolona efa natsangan’ i Nebokadnezara mpanjaka.
Then Nebuchadnezzar sent messages out to gather together the provincial governors, regional governors, and local governors, together with the counselors, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the high officials of the provinces to come to the dedication of the statue that he had set up.
3 Dia nivory hanamasina ny sariolona izay efa natsangan’ i Nebokadnezara mpanjakan’ ny solom-panjaka sy ny mpanapaka sy ny governora sy ny andriambaventy sy ny mpitahiry ny volam-panjakana sy ny mpahay lalàna sy ny mpitsara ary ny komandy isan-tokony, ka dia nitsangana tandrifin’ ny sariolona izay efa natsangan’ i Nebokadnezara ireo.
Then the provincial governors, regional governors, and local governors, together with the counselors, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the high officials of the provinces gathered together to the dedication of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. They stood before it.
4 Ary dia nisy mpikabary niantso mafy hoe: Izao no lazaina aminareo, ry fokom-pirenena, ry firenena sy samy hafa fiteny:
Then a herald loudly shouted, “You are commanded, peoples, nations, and languages,
5 Rehefa mandre ny fanenon’ ny anjomara sy ny sobaba sy ny lokanga sy ny samboka sy ny valiha sy ny symponia ary ny zava-maneno isan-karazany ianareo, dia miankohofa, ka mivavaha amin’ ny sariolona volamena izay efa natsangan’ i Nebokadnezara mpanjaka,
that at the time you hear the sound of the horns, flutes, zithers, lyres, harps, and pipes, and all kinds of music, you must fall down and prostrate yourselves to the golden statue that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.
6 ary na iza na iza no tsy miankohoka sy tsy mivavaka dia hatsipy miaraka amin’ izay ho ao anatin’ ny lafaoro misy afo mirehitra.
Whoever does not fall down and worship, at that very moment, will be thrown into a blazing furnace.”
7 Koa tamin’ ny fotoana nandrenesan’ ny fokom-pirenena rehetra ny fanenon’ ny anjomara sy ny sobaba sy ny lokanga sy ny samboka sy ny valiha ary ny zava-maneno isan-karazany, dia niankohoka sy nivavaka tamin’ ny sariolona volamena izay efa natsangan’ i Nebokadnezara mpanjaka ny fokom-pirenena sy ny firenena ary ny samy hafa fiteny rehetra.
So when all the peoples heard the sounds of the horns, flutes, zithers, lyres, harps, and pipes, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, nations, and languages fell down and prostrated themselves to the golden statue that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
8 Ary tamin’ izay dia nisy Kaldeana sasany nanatona ka niampanga ny Jiosy.
Now at this time certain Chaldeans came and brought accusations against the Jews.
9 Dia niteny izy ka nanao tamin’ i Nebokadnezara mpanjaka hoe: Ry mpanjaka ô, ho velona mandrakizay anie ianao.
They said to Nebuchadnezzar the king, “King, live forever!
10 Ry mpanjaka ô, ianao efa nanao lalàna fa ny olona rehetra izay mandre ny fanenon’ ny anjomara sy ny sobaba sy ny lokanga sy ny samboka sy ny valiha sy ny symponia ary ny zava-maneno isan-karazany dia hiankohoka hivavaka amin’ ny sariolona volamena;
You, king, have made a decree that every person who hears the sounds of the horns, flutes, zithers, lyres, harps, and pipes, and all kinds of music, must fall down and prostrate himself to the golden statue.
11 fa izay tsy miankohoka sy tsy mivavaka kosa dia hatsipy ao anatin’ ny lafaoro misy afo mirehitra.
Whoever does not fall down and worship must be thrown into a blazing furnace.
12 Koa misy Jiosy izay nataonao ho tonian’ ny raharaha amin’ i Babylona sy ny fehiny, dia Sadraka sy Mesaka ary Abednego; ireo lehilahy ireo tsy mba manaiky ny teninao akory, ry mpanjaka ô: tsy mba manompo ny andriamanitrao izy, na mivavaka amin’ ny sariolona volamena izay efa natsanganao.
Now there are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon; their names are Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, king, pay no attention to you. They will not worship or serve your gods, or prostrate themselves before the golden statue you have set up.”
13 Dia niteny tamin’ ny fahavinirana sy ny fahatezerana Nebokadnezara, ka nasainy nalaina Sadraka sy Mesaka ary Abednego. Dia nentiny teo anatrehan’ ny mpanjaka ireo lehilahy ireo.
Then Nebuchadnezzar, filled with anger and rage, commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought to him. So they brought these men before the king.
14 Dia niteny Nebokadnezara ka nanao taminy hoe: Moa fanahy ninianareo va, ry Sadraka sy Mesaka sy Abednego, no tsy mba anompoanareo ny andriamanitro, na ivavahanareo amin’ ny sariolona volamena izay natsangako?
Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Have you made your minds up, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you will not worship my gods or prostrate yourselves to the golden statue that I have set up?
15 Ankehitriny raha miomana ianareo amin’ izay handrenesanareo ny fanenon’ ny anjomara sy ny samboka sy ny valiha sy ny symponia sy ny Sobaba sy ny lokanga ary ny zava-maneno isan-karazany ka miankohoka sy mivavaka amin’ ny sariolona izay nataoko, dia tsara izany; fa raha tsy mety mivavaka kosa ianareo, dia hatsipy miaraka amin’ izay ho ao anatin’ ny lafaoro misy afo mirehitra; ary iza moa izany Andriamanitra hahavonjy anareo amin’ ny tanako izany?
Now if you are ready—when you hear the sounds of the horns, flutes, zithers, lyres, harps, and pipes, and all kinds of music—to fall down and prostrate yourselves to the statue that I have made, all will be well. But if you do not worship, you will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace. Who is the god who is able to rescue you out of my hands?”
16 Dia namaly Sadraka sy Mesaka ary Abednego ka nanao tamin’ ny mpanjaka hoe: Ry Nebokadnezara, tsy misy antony tokony hamalianay anao akory ny amin’ izany zavatra izany.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, “Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
17 Indro, Andriamanitra Izay tompoinay dia mahavonjy anay amin’ ny lafaoro misy afo mirehitra sady hamonjy anay amin’ ny tananao, ry mpanjaka ô.
If there is an answer, it is that our God whom we serve is able to keep us safe from the blazing furnace, and he will rescue us out of your hand, king.
18 Ary na dia tsy izany aza, aoka ho fantatrao, ry mpanjaka ô, fa ny andriamanitrao dia tsy hotompoinay, ary ny sariolona volamena efa natsanganao dia tsy hivavahanay.
But if not, let it be known to you, king, that we will not worship your gods, and we will not prostrate ourselves to the golden statue you set up.”
19 Dia feno fahatezerana Nebokadnezara, ka niova ny tarehiny tamin’ i Sadraka sy Mesaka ary Abednego, dia nasainy nafanaina ho impito mihoatra noho ny famana azy ny lafaoro.
Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage; the look on his face changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He commanded that the furnace should be heated seven times hotter than it was normally heated.
20 Ary izay lehilahy matanjaka indrindra tamin’ ny miaramilany no nasainy namatotra an’ i Sadraka sy Mesaka ary Abednego sy nanipy azy tao anatin’ ny lafaoro nisy afo mirehitra.
Then he commanded some very strong men in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and to throw them into the blazing furnace.
21 Dia nafatotra ireo lehilahy ireo, nefa mbola teny aminy ihany ny lobany sy ny akanjony ary ny kapitiny mbamin’ ny fitafiany hafa koa, ka dia natsipy teo anatin’ ny lafaoro nisy afo mirehitra izy;
They were tied up still wearing their robes, tunics, turbans, and other clothing, and they were thrown into the blazing furnace.
22 ary satria mafy ny tenin’ ny mpanjaka, ka natao mahamay indrindra ny lafaoro, dia matin’ ny lelafo ireny lehilahy izay nanipy an’ i Sadraka sy Mesaka sy Abednego.
Because the king's command was strictly followed and the furnace was very hot, the flames killed the men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
23 Ary izy telo lahy ireo, Sadraka sy Mesaka sy Abednego, dia voatsipy am-patorana teo anatin’ ny lafaoro nisy afo mirehitra.
These three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell into the blazing furnace while they were tied up.
24 Dia talanjona Nebokadnezara mpanjaka ary nitsangana faingana izy ka niteny tamin’ ny mpanolo-tsainy hoe: Moa tsy telo lahy mifatotra va no natsipintsika tao anatin’ ny afo? Dia namaly ny mpanjaka ireo ka nanao hoe: Marina izany, ry mpanjaka ô.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was amazed and stood up quickly. He asked his advisors, “Did we not throw three men tied up into the fire?” They replied to the king, “Certainly, king.”
25 Ary hoy izy: Ka no indro aho mahita efa-dahy tsy mifatotra, mandehandeha eo anaty afo, nefa tsy maninona tsy maninona akory izy; ary ny fijery ilay fahefatra dia toa zanak’ ireo andriamanitra.
He said, “But I see four men who are not tied up walking around in the fire, and they are not hurt. The brilliance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”
26 Dia nanatona ny varavaran’ ny lafaoro nisy afo mirehitra Nebokadnezara ka niantso hoe: Ry Sadraka sy Mesaka sy Abednego, mpanompon’ Andriamanitra Avo Indrindra, mivoaha, ka avia atỳ. Dia nivoaka avy teo anatin’ ny afo Sadraka sy Mesaka ary Abednego.
Then Nebuchadnezzar came near the door of the blazing furnace and called out, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of God Most High, come out! Come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire.
27 Dia nifanatona ny solo-mpanjaka sy ny mpanapaka sy ny governora ary ny mpanolotsain’ ny mpanjaka ka nahita ireo lehilahy ireo, fa tsy nanan-kery hampaninona ny tenany akory ny afo, na nisy singam-bolo nikainkona tamin’ ny lohany, na niova ny lobany, ary tsy nisy fofon’ afo akory taminy.
The provincial governors, regional governors, other governors, and the king's counselors who had gathered together saw these men. The fire had not hurt their bodies; the hair on their heads was not singed; their robes were not harmed; and there was no smell of fire on them.
28 Nebokadnezara niteny ka nanao hoe: Isaorana anie Andriamanitr’ i Sadraka sy Mesaka sy Abednego, Izay naniraka ny anjeliny hamonjy ny mpanompony izay natoky Azy ka nandika ny tenin’ ny mpanjaka ary nanolotra ny tenany tsy hanompo na hivavaka amin’ izay andriamani-kafa, afa-tsy Andriamaniny ihany.
Nebuchadnezzar said, “Let us praise the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his messenger and given his message to his servants. They trusted in him when they set aside my command, and they gave up their bodies rather than worship or prostrate themselves to any god except their God.
29 Ka dia manao lalàna aho fa ny fokom-pirenena sy ny firenena sy ny samy hafa fiteny rehetra izay manao teny tsy mety ny amin’ Andriamanitr’ i Sadraka sy Mesaka sy Abednego dia hotetitetehina, ary hatao trano fivoahana ny tranony; fa tsy misy andriamani-kafa mahavonjy tahaka izao.
Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language that speaks anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego must be torn apart, and that their houses must be made into rubbish heaps because there is no other god who is able to save like this.”
30 Ary Sadraka sy Mesaka sy Abednego dia nasandratry ny mpanjaka tamin’ i Babylona sy ny fehiny.
Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.
