< Daniela 10 >

1 Tamin’ ny taona fahatelo nanjakan’ i Kyrosy, mpanjakan’ i Persia, dia nisy nambara tamin’ i Daniela, izay atao hoe Beltesazara; marina ny teny, ary ady mafy no nolazainy; ary nahalala ny teny izy sady nahafantatra ny fahitana.
In the third year of Cyrus, king of Persia, a matter, was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and faithful was the matter, but [concerned] a great warfare, and he marked the word, and had understanding in the revelation.
2 Tamin’ izany andro izany izaho Daniela dia nisaona roatokom-bolana mipaka.
In those days, I, Daniel, was mourning three sevens of days:
3 Tsy nihinana hanim-py aho, sady tsy nanendry hena na divay ny vavako, ary tsy nihosotra diloilo akory aho ambara-pahatapitry ny roatokom-bolana mipaka.
food to delight in, did I not eat, neither flesh nor wine, came into my mouth, nor did I so much as, anoint, myself, —until were fulfilled three sevens of days.
4 Ary tamin’ ny andro fahefatra amby roa-polo tamin’ ny volana voalohany, raha teo amoron’ ny ony lehibe aho (Hidekela izany),
And, on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, —when, I, was by the side of the great river, the same, is Tigris,
5 dia nanopy ny masoko aho ka nijery, ary, indro, nisy lehilahy iray nitafy rongony fotsy, ka tena volamena avy any Ofaza no nisikinany;
then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and lo! a man, clothed in linen, —whose loins, were girded with the bright gold of Uphaz;
6 tahaka ny krysolita ny tenany, ary tahaka ny helatra ny tarehiny, ary tahaka ny fanilo mirehitra ny masony, ary mivolom-barahina manganohano ny sandriny sy ny tongony; ary ny feony toy ny feon’ olona maro be;
whose body, was like Tarshish-stone, and, his face, like the appearance of lightning, and, his eyes, were like torches of fire, and, his arms and his feet, like the look of bronze burnished, —and, the sound of his words, was like the sound of a multitude.
7 ary izaho Daniela ihany no nahita ny fahitana; fa ny olona izay teo amiko kosa tsy mba nahita izany, fa toran-kovitra indrindra izy ka nandositra niery.
And, I, Daniel, alone, beheld the revelation, and, the men who were with me, beheld not the revelation, —in truth, a great terror, had fallen upon them, and they had fled while hiding themselves.
8 Ary dia nilaozana ho irery aho ary nahita izany fahitana lehibe izany, dia tsy nisy hery tafajanona tato amiko; fa nihasimba nivaloarika ny tarehiko, ary tsy nisy hery intsony tamiko.
I, therefore, was left alone, and beheld this great revelation, and there remained in me no strength, —but, my freshness, was turned upon me into disfigurement, and I retained no strength.
9 Nefa nandre ny teniny ihany aho; ary nony nandre izany aho, dia renoky ny torimaso niankohoka tamin’ ny tany.
So then I heard the sound of his words, —and, when I heard the sound of his words, then, I myself, came to be in a deep sleep upon my face, with, my face, to the earth.
10 Ary, indro, nisy tanana nanohina ka nanarina ahy handohalika sy hitehin-tanana, nefa mbola nangozohozo ihany.
And lo! a hand, touched me; and roused me up on my knees and the palms of my hands.
11 Ary hoy izy tamiko: Ry Daniela malala ô, fantaro ny teny Izay lazaiko aminao, ka mijoroa; fa nirahina ho atỳ aminao aho ankehitriny. Ary nony nilaza izany teny izany tamiko izy, dia nitsangana nangozohozo teo aho.
Then said he unto me, O Daniel! man greatly delighted in! have understanding in the words which, I, am about to speak unto thee, and stand up where thou art, for, now, have I been sent unto thee. And, when he had spoken with me this word, I stood up trembling.
12 Dia hoy izy tamiko: Aza matahotra, ry Daniela; fa hatramin’ ilay andro voalohany nampiasanao ny fonao hahalala sy hampahory ny tenanao teo anatrehan’ Andriamanitrao dia reko ny teninao, ary noho ny teninao dia avy aho.
Then said he unto me, Do not fear, Daniel, for, from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard; and, I, am come, by reason of thy words.
13 Fa ilay andrianan’ ny fanjakan’ i Persia nanohitra ahy iraika amby roa-polo andro; fa indro kosa Mikaela, anankiray amin’ ireo andriana lehibe, no tonga hanampy ahy; ka dia izaho ihany no sisa nijanona teo amin’ ny mpanjakan’ i Persia.
But, the ruler of the kingdom of Persia, withstood me twenty-one days, but lo! Michael, one of the chief rulers, came in to help me, —and, I, left him there, beside the kings of Persia.
14 Ary avy hampahafantatra anao izay hanjo ny firenenao any am-parany aho, satria mbola hihatra amin’ izany andro izany ny fahitana.
So then I am come to let thee understand that which shall befall thy people in the afterpart of the days, —for yet is the vision for [those] days.
15 Ary nony nilaza izany teny izany tamiko izy, dia niankohoka tamin’ ny tany aho sady tsy nahateny.
And, when he had spoken with me such words as these, —I set my face towards the earth, and was dumb.
16 Ary, indro, nisy anankiray miendri-janak’ olombelona nanendry ny molotro, dia niloa-bava aho ka niteny nanao tamin’ ilay nitsangana teo anatrehako hoe: Tompoko, azon’ ny fanaintainana aho noho ny fahitana ka tsy manan-kery intsony.
Then lo! like the similitude of the sons of men, one was touching my lips, —so I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him who was standing before me, O my lord! By the revelation, my pains have seized me, and I retain no strength.
17 Fa aiza no ahazoan’ ity izaho mpanompon’ ny tompoko ity hiteny aminao tompoko? Ary tamin’ izay dia tsy nisy hery nitoetra tato amiko intsony, na nisy aina sisa tato amiko.
How then can the servant of this my lord speak with this my lord, —seeing that, as for me—henceforth, there remaineth in me no strength, and no, spirit, is left in me?
18 Ary nisy indray nanana endrik’ olona nanendry ahy koa, dia nampahery ahy
Then again there touched me one like in appearance to a son of earth, and he strengthened me.
19 ka nanao hoe: Aza matahotra, ry ilay malala indrindra; fiadanana anie ho anao, mahereza, eny, mahereza. Ary rehefa niteny tamiko izy, dia nihahery aho ka nanao hoe: Aoka hiteny ianao tompoko, satria efa nampahery ahy.
And he said, Do not fear, O man greatly delighted in! peace to thee, be strong, yea be strong! And, as he spake with me, I gained strength, and said, Let my lord speak, for thou hast strengthened me.
20 Dia hoy izy: Moa fantatrao va ny nihaviako atỳ aminao? Ankehitriny dia hiverina hiady amin’ ny andrianan’ i Persia aho, ary rehefa mivoaka aho, dia, indro, ho avy ny andrianan’ i Grisia.
And he said, Knowest thou wherefore I am come unto thee? But, now, must I return to fight with the ruler of Persia; I, therefore am going forth, and lo! the ruler of Greece, is coming.
21 Fa hambarako aminao izay voasoratra ao amin’ ny soratra marina; nefa tsy misy miara-misikìna amiko hanohitra ireo, afa-tsy Mikaela andriananareo.
Howbeit I will tell thee that which is inscribed in the writing of truth, —but there is no one who holdeth strongly with me concerning these things, save Michael your ruler.
