< Asan'ny Apostoly 21 >

1 Ary rehefa tafasarika taminy izahay, dia niondrana an-tsambo ka nizotra nankany Kosy; ary nony ampitso dia tonga tao Rodo, dia niala tao nankany Patara;
And when it came to pass that we were parted from them, and had set sail, we came with a straight course unto Cos, and the next day unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:
2 ary nony nahita sambo nita ho any Foinika izahay, dia nifindra sambo teo ka lasa nandeha.
and having found a ship crossing over unto Phoenicia, we went aboard, and set sail.
3 Ary nony nahatsinjo an’ i Kyprosy izahay, dia nandalo azy tamin’ ny ankavia ka nankany Syria, dia niantsona tao Tyro; fa tao no notaterina ny entan’ ny sambo.
And when we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed unto Syria, and landed at Tyre: for there the ship was to unlade her burden.
4 Ary nony nitady ny mpianatra izahay ka nahita azy, dia nitoetra teo hafitoana; ary izy ireo dia voatsindrin’ ny Fanahy hilaza amin’ i Paoly mba tsy hiakatra any Jerosalema.
And having found the disciples, we tarried there seven days: and these said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not set foot in Jerusalem.
5 Ary rehefa tapitra izany andro izany, dia niala izahay ka lasa nandeha; ary izy rehetra mbamin’ ny vadiny aman-janany dia nanatitra anay hatrany ivelan’ ny tanàna; ary nandohalika teo amoron-dranomasina izahay ka nivavaka;
And when it came to pass that we had accomplished the days, we departed and went on our journey; and they all, with wives and children, brought us on our way, till we were out of the city: and kneeling down on the beach, we prayed,
6 ary rehefa nifanao veloma izahay, dia nirotsaka an-tsambo; fa izy ireo kosa niverina nody.
and bade each other farewell; and we went on board the ship, but they returned home again.
7 Ary ny niafaran’ ny nandehananay an-tsambo dia tany Tolemaia, rehefa avy tany Tyro; ary niarahaba ny rahalahy izahay ka nitoetra teo aminy indray andro.
And when we had finished the voyage from Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais; and we saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day.
8 Ary nony ampitso dia niala teo izahay ka tonga tany Kaisaria ary niditra tao an-tranon’ i Filipo evanjelista, izay anankiray tamin’ izy fito lahy, dia nitoetra tao aminy izahay.
And on the morrow we departed, and came unto Caesarea: and entering into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, we abode with him.
9 Ary izany lehilahy izany dia nanana zanakavavy virijina efatra izay naminany.
Now this man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.
10 Ary raha nitoetra tao andro maro izahay, dia nisy mpaminany anankiray atao hoe Agabo nidina avy tany Jodia.
And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.
11 Ary rehefa tonga tao aminay izy, dia noraisiny ny fehin-kibon’ i Paoly, ka namatorany ny tongotra aman-tànan’ ny tenany, dia hoy izy; Izao no lazain’ ny Fanahy Masìna: Toy izao no hamatoran’ ny Jiosy any Jerosalema ny lehilahy tompon’ ity fehin-kibo ity, ka hatolony ho eo an-tànan’ ny jentilisa izy.
And coming to us, and taking Paul’s girdle, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
12 Ary raha vao renay izany, dia nangataka taminy izahay mbamin’ izay nonina teo mba tsy hiakarany any Jerosalema.
And when we heard these things, both we and they of that place besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
13 Fa Paoly namaly ka nanao hoe: Nahoana ianareo no mitomany ka mampangorakoraka ny foko? Fa vonona aho tsy ny hafatotra ihany, fa ny ho faty any Jerosalema koa aza mba ho voninahitry ny anaran’ i Jesosy Tompo.
Then Paul answered, What do ye, weeping and breaking my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
14 Ary nony tsy nanaiky izy, dia nitsahatra izahay ka nanao hoe: Aoka ny sitrapon’ ny Tompo no hatao.
And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
15 Ary rehefa afaka izany andro izany, dia nifehy entana izahay ka niakatra nankany Jerosalema.
And after these days we took up our baggage, and went up to Jerusalem.
16 Dia niaraka taminay koa ny mpianatra sasany avy tany Kaisaria, izay nitondra anay ho any amin’ i Menasona, olona avy any Kyprosy sady mpianatra maintimolaly, izay nokasainay hitoerana.
And there went with us also [certain] of the disciples from Caesarea, bringing [with them] one Mnason of Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we should lodge.
17 Ary nony tonga tany Jerosalema izahay, dia nandray anay tamin’ ny fifaliana ny rahalahy.
And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
18 Ary nony ampitso dia niara-niditra tany amin’ i Jakoba izahay sy Paoly; ary vory teo ny loholona rehetra.
And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
19 Ary rehefa niarahaba azy Paoly, dia nilaza tsirairay ny zavatra rehetra izay efa nampanaovin’ Andriamanitra azy tany amin’ ny jentilisa izy.
And when he had saluted them, he rehearsed one by one the things which God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry.
20 Ary rehefa nandre izany ireo, dia nankalaza an’ Andriamanitra; ary hoy koa izy tamin’ i Paoly: Hitanao, rahalahy, fa tsy omby alinalina ny Jiosy izay efa mino; ary fatra-pitàna ny lalàna izy rehetra,
And they, when they heard it, glorified God; and they said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of them which have believed; and they are all zealous for the law:
21 sady efa novokisan’ olona ny aminao, fa ianao, hono, mampianatra ny Jiosy rehetra izay any amin’ ny jentilisa hahafoy an’ i Mosesy ka mandrara azy tsy hamora ny zaza na hanaraka ny fanaon-drazana.
and they have been informed concerning thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
22 Ahoana ary no izy? Tsy maintsy ho reny ny nahatongavanao.
What is it therefore? they will certainly hear that thou art come.
23 Ary noho izany dia ataovy izao lazainay aminao izao: Misy efa-dahy etỳ izay nivoady;
Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;
24 raiso ireo ka manadiova ny tenanao miaraka aminy, ary mandoava ny vola ho lany mba hanaratany ny lohany, ka dia ho fantatry ny olona rehetra fa tsinontsinona izay zavatra namokisana azy ny aminao, fa ianao aza mandeha manaraka ny lalàna kosa.
these take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges for them, that they may shave their heads: and all shall know that there is no truth in the things whereof they have been informed concerning thee; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, keeping the law.
25 Fa ny amin’ ny jentilisa izay efa mino, dia efa nampitondra epistily izahay nandidy azy hifady ny hena aterina amin’ ny sampy sy ny rà sy ny zavatra kendaina ary ny fijangajangana.
But as touching the Gentiles which have believed, we wrote, giving judgment that they should keep themselves from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication.
26 Dia noraisin’ i Paoly ireo lehilahy ireo, ary nony ampitso dia nanadio ny tenany niaraka taminy izy ka niditra teo an-kianjan’ ny tempoly, nanambara ny fahatanterahan’ ny andro fahadiovana mandra-panatitra ny fanatitra ho an’ ny isan-dahy.
Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them went into the temple, declaring the fulfillment of the days of purification, until the offering was offered for every one of them.
27 Ary rehefa ho tapitra ny hafitoana, dia nahita an’ i Paoly teo an-kianjan’ ny tempoly ny Jiosy avy tany Asia, ka nampikotaba ny vahoaka rehetra izy sady nisambotra an’ i Paoly,
And when the seven days were almost completed, the Jews from Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the multitude, and laid hands on him,
28 ka dia niantso hoe: Avia, ry lehilahy Isiraely, fa io no lehilahy mampianatra ny olona rehetra ombieniombieny manohitra ny olona Isiraely sy ny lalàna sy ity fitoerana ity, sady nampiditra jentilisa teo an-kianjan’ ny tempoly izy ka nandoto ity fitoerana masìna.
crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place: and moreover he brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath defiled this holy place.
29 (fa efa hitany rahateo fa niaraka taminy tao an-tanàna Trofimo Efesiana, ka nataony fa nampidirin’ i Paoly teo an-kianjan’ ny tempoly izy).
For they had before seen with him in the city Trophimus the Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.
30 Dia nifanaritaka be ihany ny tao an-tanàna rehetra, ka nihazakazaka nivory ny olona; ary Paoly dia nosamboriny ka nosarihany hiala eo an-kianjan’ ny tempoly; ary niaraka tamin’ izay dia narindrina ny vavahady.
And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they laid hold on Paul, and dragged him out of the temple: and straightway the doors were shut.
31 Ary raha nitady hamono azy ny olona, dia nisy teny nakarina tany amin’ ny mpifehy arivo tamin’ ny antokon’ ny miaramila nilaza fa mikotaba avokoa Jerosalema rehetra;
And as they were seeking to kill him, tidings came up to the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in confusion.
32 ary niaraka tamin’ izay dia naka miaramila sy kapiteny izy ka nihazakazaka nidina nankeo aminy; ary raha nahita ny mpifehy arivo sy ny miaramila ny olona, dia nitsahatra tsy nikapoka an’ i Paoly.
And forthwith he took soldiers and centurions, and ran down upon them: and they, when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, left off beating Paul.
33 Ary ny mpifehy arivo nanakaiky, dia nisambotra azy ka nandidy hamatotra ary tamin’ ny gadra roa, dia nanontany hoe: Iza moa izy, ary inona moa no nataony?
Then the chief captain came near, and laid hold on him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and inquired who he was, and what he had done.
34 Ary ny sasany tamin’ ny olona maro niantso mafy nilaza zavatra iray, ary ny sasany kosa zavatra hafa; ary rehefa tsy azony nofantarina izay marina noho ny fikotranana, dia nasainy nentina ho any anati-rova Paoly.
And some shouted one thing, some another, among the crowd: and when he could not know the certainty for the uproar, he commanded him to be brought into the castle.
35 Ary rehefa tonga teo amin’ ny ambaratonga izy, dia nobetain’ ny miaramila noho ny fifanosehan’ ny olona;
And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the crowd;
36 fa ny olona maro nanaraka ka niantso hoe: Vonoy ilehio!
for the multitude of the people followed after, crying out, Away with him.
37 Ary rehefa nentiny tany anati-rova Paoly, dia hoy izy tamin’ ny mpifehy arivo: Mahazo miteny aminao va aho? Dia hoy izy: Mahay teny Grika va ianao?
And as Paul was about to be brought into the castle, he saith unto the chief captain, May I say something unto thee? And he said, Dost thou know Greek?
38 Moa tsy ianao va ilay Egyptiana, izay nampikomy ny olona fahiny ka nitarika ny efatra arivo lahy mpitondra lefom-pohy nankany an-efitra?
Art thou not then the Egyptian, which before these days stirred up to sedition and led out into the wilderness the four thousand men of the Assassins?
39 Fa hoy Paoly: Izaho Jiosy avy any Tarsosy any Kilikia, tompon-tany amin’ izay tanàna tsy kely laza; koa trarantitra ianao, aoka aho mba hiteny amin’ ny olona.
But Paul said, I am a Jew, of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and I beseech thee, give me leave to speak unto the people.
40 Ary Paoly, rehefa navelany, dia nitsangana teo amin’ ny ambaratonga ka nanofa tanana tamin’ ny olona. Ary rehefa nangina tsara ny olona, dia niteny mafy tamin’ ny teny Hebreo izy ka nanao hoe:
And when he had given him leave, Paul, standing on the stairs, beckoned with the hand unto the people; and when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew language, saying,
