Asan'ny Apostoly 16
1 Dia tonga tany Derbe sy Lystra koa izy; ary, indro, nisy mpianatra anankiray teo atao hoe Timoty ― zanaky ny vehivavy Jiosy izay nino, fa jentilisa rainy ―
Then came he to Derba and to Lystra. And beholde a certayne disciple was there named Timotheus a womans sonne which was a Iewas and beleved: but his father was a Greke.
2 ary tsara laza teo amin’ ny rahalahy tany Lystra sy Ikonioma izy.
Of whom reported well the brethren of Lystra and of Iconium.
3 Koa tian’ i Paoly ho entiny miaraka aminy izy; dia nalainy izy ka noforany noho ny Jiosy tany amin’ izany tany izany, satria fantatr’ izy rehetra fa jentilisa rainy.
The same Paul wolde yt he shuld goo forth with him and toke and circumcised him because of the Iewes which were in those quarters: for they knewe all that his father was a Greke.
4 Ary raha nandeha nitety ny tanàna tao izy, dia natolony hotandreman’ ny olona ireo didy navoaky ny Apostoly sy ny loholona tany Jerosalema.
As they went thorow ye cities they delyvered the the decrees for to kepe ordeyned of the Apostles and elders which were at Ierusalem.
5 Ary nihanahery finoana ny fiangonana sady nihamaro isan’ andro.
And so were the congregacions stablisshed in the fayth and encreased in noumbre dayly.
6 Ary rehefa noraran’ ny Fanahy Masìna tsy hitory ny teny tany Asia izy, dia nandeha namaky ny tany Frygia sy Galatia
When they had goone thorow out Phrigia and the region of Galacia and were forbydde of the holy gost to preach the worde in Asia
7 ka efa tonga tany an-tsisin’ i Mysia, dia nitady hankany Bitynia izy, fa tsy navelan’ ny Fanahin’ i Jesosy.
they came to Misia and sought to goo into Bethinia. But the sprete soffered the not.
8 Ary rehefa nandalo an’ i Mysia izy, dia nidina nankany Troasy.
Then they went over Misia and cam doune to Troada.
9 Ary nony alina dia nisy fahitana niseho tamin’ i Paoly, koa, indro, nisy lehilahy Makedoniana nitsangana teo ka nangataka azy hoe: Mità mankaty Makedonia, ka vonjeo izahay!
And a vision appered to Paul in ye nyght. There stode a man of Macedonia and prayed him sayinge: come into Macedonia and helpe vs.
10 Ary nony nahita ny fahitana izy, dia nitady handeha niaraka tamin’ izay hankany Makedonia izahay, satria nataonay fa Andriamanitra no efa niantso anay hitory ny filazantsara amin’ ny olona any.
After he had sene ye vision immediatly we prepared to goo into Macedonia certified yt the lorde had called vs for to preache the gospell vnto them.
11 Ary nony niondrana an-tsambo niala tany Troasy izahay, dia nizotra nankany Samotrakia; ary nony ampitso dia nankany Neapolia.
Then lowsed we forth from Troada and with a strayght course came to Samothracia and the nexte daye to Neapolim
12 Ary nony niala teo izahay, dia nankany Filipy, izay tanàna voalohany amin’ izany zara-tanin’ i Makedonia izany sady zana-panjakana; ary nitoetra teo amin’ izany tanàna izany andro vitsivitsy izahay.
and from thence to Philippos which is the chefest citie in ye partes of Macedonia and a fre cite. We were in that cite abydynge a certayne dayes.

And the people ranne on them and the officers rent their clothes and comaunded them to be beaten with roddes.
23 Ary nony efa nokapohiny mafy dia mafy izy, dia nataony tao an-tranomaizina, ka nasainy niambina azy tsara ny mpiandry tranomaizina.
And when they had beaten them sore they cast them into preson comaundynge the iayler to kepe them surely.
24 Ary rehefa nahazo teny toy izany ralehilahy, dia nataony tao amin’ ny tranomaizina anatiny indrindra izy, ary ny tongony nobolokiny mafy tamin’ ny boloky hazo.

25 Ary nony mamatonalina, dia nivavaka sy nihira fiderana an’ Andriamanitra Paoly sy Silasy; ary nihaino azy ny mpifatotra.
At mydnyght Paul and Sylas prayed and lauded God. And the presoners hearde them.
26 Ary nisy horohorontany mafy dia mafy avy tampoka, ka nihozongozona ny fanorenan’ ny tranomaizina; dia nivoha niaraka tamin’ izay ny varavarana rehetra, ary nivaha avokoa ny fatoran’ izy rehetra.
And sodenly ther was a greate erth quake so that ye fonndacion of the preson was shaken and by and by all the dores opened and every mannes bondes were lowsed.
27 Dia nahatsiaro ny mpiandry tranomaizina ka nahita ny varavaran’ ny tranomaizina nivoha, dia nanatsoaka ny sabany izy ka saiky hamono tena, satria nataony fa efa nandositra ny mpifatotra.
When the keper of ye preson waked out of his slepe and sawe the preson dores open he drue out his swearde and wolde have kylled him selfe supposynge the presoners had bene fledde.
28 Fa Paoly niantso tamin’ ny feo mahery ka nanao hoe: Aza mamono tena, fa ato ihany izahay rehetra.
But Paul cryed with a lowde voyce sayinge: Do thy selfe no harme for we are all heare.
29 Ary izy niantso jiro, dia nikaretsaka niditra sady tora-kovitra ka niankohoka teo anatrehan’ i Paoly sy Silasy.
Then he called for a lyght and sprange in and came tremblynge and fell doune before Paul and Sylas
30 Ary rehefa nentiny nivoaka izy roa lahy, dia hoy izy: Tompoko, inona no mety hataoko, mba hovonjena aho?
and brought them out and sayde: Syrs what must I do to be saved?
31 Dia hoy izy roa lahy: Minoa an’ i Jesosy Tompo, dia hovonjena ianao sy ny ankohonanao.
And they sayde: beleve on the Lorde Iesus and thou shalt be saved and thy housholde.
32 Ary izy roa lahy nitory ny tenin’ ny Tompo taminy sy tamin’ izay rehetra tao an-tranony.
And they preached vnto him the worde of the Lorde and to all that were in his housse.
33 Ary nandray azy roa lahy izy tamin’ izany ora amin’ ny alina izany ka nanasa ny dian-kapoka; ary natao batisa tamin’ izay izy mbamin’ izay azy rehetra.
And he toke them the same houre of the nyght and wasshed their woundes and was baptised with all that belonged vnto him strayght waye.
34 Ary rehefa nentiny niakatra ho ao an-trano izy roa lahy, dia norosoany hanina teo anoloany, dia nifaly indrindra izy mbamin’ izay rehetra tao an-tranony, satria efa nino an’ Andriamanitra.
Whe he had brought them into his housse he set meate before them and ioyed that he with all his housholde boleved on God.
35 Ary rehefa maraina ny andro, ireo governora dia naniraka ny mpitan-defona ka nanao hoe: Alefaso ireo olona ireo.
And when it was daye the officers sent the ministres sayinge: Let those men goo.
36 Ary ny mpiandry tranomaizina nilaza izany teny izany tamin’ i Paoly hoe: Ireo governora efa naniraka handefa anareo, koa ankehitriny mivoaha ianareo ka mandehana soa aman-tsara.
The keper of ye preson tolde this sayinge to Paul the officiers have sent worde to lowse you. Now therfore get you hence and goo in peace.
37 Fa hoy Paoly taminy: Efa nokapohiny tsy voatsara teo amin’ ny miharihary izahay, kanefa Romana izahay, ka nataony tao an-tranomaizina, ary ankehitriny moa mamoaka anay mangingina va izy? Tsia, fa aoka izy ihany ho hankatỳ hamoaka anay.
Then sayde Paul vnto them: they have beaten vs openly vncomdempned for all yt we are Romayns and have cast vs into preson: and now wolde they sende vs awaye prevely? Naye not so but let them come the selves and set vs out.
38 Ary ny mpitan-defona nilaza izany teny izany tamin’ ireo governora; dia natahotra izy, raha nahare fa Romana izy roa lahy.
When the ministres tolde these wordes vnto the officers they feared when they hearde that they were Romayns
39 Dia tonga izy ka nanony azy sady nitondra azy nivoaka ary nangataka azy handeha hiala ao an-tanàna.
and came and besought them and brought them out and desyred them to departe out of the cite.
40 Dia niala tao an-tranomaizina izy ka niditra tao an-tranon’ i Lydia; ary rehefa nahita ny rahalahy izy, dia nananatra azy ka lasa nandeha.
And they wet out of ye preson and entred into the housse of Lidia and whe they had sene the brethren they comforted them and departed.
