2 Tesaloniana 1

1 Paoly sy Silasy ary Timoty mamangy ny fiangonan’ ny Tesaloniana, izay ao amin’ Andriamanitra Raintsika sy Jesosy Kristy Tompo:

Paul and Silvanus and Timotheus to the assembly of Thessalonians in God our Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

2 ho aminareo anie ny fahasoavana sy ny fiadanana avy amin’ Andriamanitra Ray sy Jesosy Kristy Tompo.

Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Tsy maintsy misaotra an’ Andriamanitra mandrakariva izahay noho ny aminareo, ry rahalahy, fa mahamendrika isany, satria mitombo fatratra ny finoanareo, ary be ny fifankatiavanareo rehetra,

We ought to thank God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, because your faith increases exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all towards one another abounds;

4 ka reharehan’ ny tenanay ianareo eny amin’ ny fiangonan’ Andriamanitra noho ny faharetanareo sy ny finoanareo amin’ ny fanenjehana rehetra izay manjo anareo sy ny fahoriana izay iaretanareo ―

so that we ourselves make our boast in you in the assemblies of God for your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations, which ye are sustaining;

5 famantarana ny fitsarana marin’ Andriamanitra izany ― mba hatao ho miendrika ny fanjakan’ Andriamanitra ianareo, sady izany koa no iaretanareo

a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that ye should be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for the sake of which ye also suffer;

6 fa zavatra marina amin’ Andriamanitra ny hamaly fahoriana izay mampahory anareo,

if at least [it is a] righteous thing with God to render tribulation to those that trouble you,

7 ary ny hanome fitsaharana anareo izay ampahorina kosa mbamin’ ny tenanay, raha hiseho Jesosy Tompo, avy any an-danitra mbamin’ ny anjelin’ ny heriny,

and to you that are troubled repose with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with [the] angels of his power,

8 amin’ ny afo midedadeda, hamaly izay tsy mahalala an’ Andriamanitra sy izay tsy manaiky ny filazantsaran’ i Jesosy Tompontsika,

in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who know not God, and those who do not obey the glad tidings of our Lord Jesus Christ;

9 dia olona izay hiharan’ ny famaliana marina dia fahaverezana mandrakizay avy amin’ ny fanatrehan’ ny Tompo sy ny voninahitry ny heriny, (aiōnios g166)

who shall pay the penalty [of] everlasting destruction from [the] presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his might, (aiōnios g166)

10 raha tonga Izy mba hankalazaina eo amin’ ny olony masìna sy higagana eo amin’ izay rehetra mino amin izany andro izany, satria ninoana ny fanambaranay taminareo.

when he shall have come to be glorified in his saints, and wondered at in all that have believed, (for our testimony to you has been believed, ) in that day.

11 Ary izany no angatahinay mandrakariva ny aminareo, mba hataon’ Andriamanitsika ho miendrika ny fiantsoana ianareo, ary hotanterahiny amin’ ny hery ny fankasitrahana tsara rehetra sy ny asan’ ny finoana,

To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of the calling, and fulfil all [the] good pleasure of [his] goodness and [the] work of faith with power,

12 mba hankalazaina ao aminareo ny anaran’ i Jesosy Tompontsika, ary ianareo ao aminy kosa, araka ny fahasoavan’ Andriamanitsika sy Jesosy Kristy Tompo.

so that the name of our Lord Jesus [Christ] may be glorified in you and ye in him, according to the grace of our God, and of [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
