< 2 Mpanjaka 23 >

1 Ary nanirahan’ ny mpanjaka, ka dia vory tany aminy ny loholon’ ny Joda Jerosalema rehetra.
So they reported the word to the king: and the king sent and gathered all the elders of Juda and Jerusalem to himself.
2 Dia niakatra ho ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah ny mpanjaka, ary nanaraka azy ny lehilahy rehetra amin’ ny Joda sy ny mponina rehetra tany Jerosalema mbamin’ ny mpisorona sy ny mpaminany ary ny vahoaka rehetra, na kely na lehibe; ary novakiny teo anatrehany ny teny rehetra tamin’ ny bokin’ ny fanekena izay hita tao an-tranon’ i Jehovah.
And the king went up to the house of the Lord, and every man of Juda and all who dwelt in Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people small and great; and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the Lord.
3 Ary ny mpanjaka nitsangana teo amin’ ny fitoeran’ andriana, dia nanao fanekena teo anatrehan’ i Jehovah hanaraka Azy sy hitandrina ny lalàny sy ny teni-vavolombelony ary ny didiny amin’ ny fony rehetra sy ny fanahiny rehetra, hankatò ny tenin’ ny fanekena sy izay voasoratra ao amin’ izany boky izany. Ary ny vahoaka rehetra koa dia mba nanaiky ny fanekena.
And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his ordinances with all the heart and with all the soul, to confirm the words of this covenant; [even] the things written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.
4 Ary ny mpanjaka nandidy an’ i Hilkia mpisoronabe sy ireo mpisorona manarakaraka ary ny mpiandry varavarana hamoaka ny fanaka rehetra izay natao ho an’ i Bala sy Astarta ary ho an’ izay rehetra eny amin’ ny lanitra hiala amin’ ny tempolin’ i Jehovah; ka nodorany tany ivelan’ i Jerosalema teny amin’ ny saha amoron’ i Kidrona ireny, ary nentiny ho any Betela ny vovony.
And the king commanded Chelcias the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and them that kept the door, to bring out of the temple of the Lord all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and all the host of heaven, and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kedron, and took the ashes of them to Baethel.
5 Ary natsahany koa ny mpisorona amin’ ny andriamani-tsi-izy, izay notendren’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Joda handoro ditin-kazo manitra eny amin’ ny fitoerana avo tany amin’ ny tanànan’ ny Joda sy tamin’ ny manodidina an’ i Jerosalema, sy izay nandoro ditin-kazo manitra koa ho an’ i Bala, dia ny masoandro, ary ho an’ ny volana sy ny kintana amin’ ny Zodiaka ary ho an’ izay rehetra eny amin’ ny lanitra.
And he burned the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Juda [had] appointed, (and they burned incense in the high places and in the cities of Juda, and the places around about Jerusalem); and them that burned incense to Baal, and to the sun, and to the moon, and to Mazuroth, and to all the host of heaven.
6 Ary ny Aseraha navoakany hiala amin’ ny tranon’ i Jehovah ho any ivelan’ i Jerosalema, ao amin’ ny lohasahan-driaka Kidrona; ary nodorany tao io ka notorotoroiny ho vovoka, ary ny vovony nafafiny teny ambonin’ ny fasam-bahoaka.
And he carried out the grove from the house of the Lord to the brook Kedron, and burned it at the brook Kedron, and reduced it to powder, and cast its powder on the sepulchres of the sons of the people.
7 Ary noravany ny tranon’ ny olona nanolo-tena hijangajanga ho fanompoan-tsampy izay teo amin’ ny tranon’ i Jehovah, dia ireo nanenoman’ ny vehivavy lay ho an’ i Astarta.
And he pulled down the house of the sodomites that were by the house of the Lord, where the women wove tents for the grove.
8 Ary nampaka ny mpisorona rehetra avy tamin’ ny tanànan’ ny Joda izy, dia nolotoiny ny fitoerana avo, izay nandoroan’ ny mpisorona ditin-kazo manitra, hatrany Geba ka hatrany Beri-sheba ary noravany ny fitoerana avo tao akaikin’ ny vavahady, dia ilay teo anoloan’ ny vavahadin’ i Josoa, komandin’ ny tanàna, sy ilay teo an-kavia raha miditra amin’ ny vavahadin’ ny tanana.
And he brought up all the priest from the cities of Juda, and defiled the high places where the priests burned incense, from Gaebal even to Bersabee; and he pulled down the house of the gates that was by the door of the gate of Joshua the ruler of the city, on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.
9 Fa ny mpisorona tamin’ ny fitoerana avo tsy navela hanatitra teo ambonin’ ny alitaran’ i Jehovah any Jerosalema; nefa nahazo niara-nihinana mofo tsy misy masirasira tamin’ ny rahalahiny ihany izy.
Only the priests of the high places went not up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem, for they only ate leavened bread in the midst of their brethren.
10 Ary nolotoiny koa Tofeta, izay eo amin’ ny lohasahan’ ny taranak’ i Hinoma, mba tsy hisy hampandeha ny zananilahy na ny zananivavy hamaky ny afo ho an’ i Moloka intsony.
And he defiled Tapheth which is in the valley of the son of Ennom, [constructed] for a man to cause his son or his daughter to pass through fire to Moloch.
11 Ary ny soavaly izay nohamasinin’ ireo mpanjakan’ ny Joda ho an’ ny masoandro ka nataony teo amin’ ny fidirana ho ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah, teo akaikin’ ny efi-tranon’ i Natana-meleka tandapa, izay tao Parvara, dia nesoriny; ary ny kalesin’ ny masoandro nodorany tamin’ ny afo.
And he burned the horses which the king of Juda had given to the sun in the entrance of the house of the Lord, by the treasury of Nathan the king's eunuch, in the suburbs; and he burned the chariot of the sun with fire.
12 Ary ireo alitara teo an-tampon-trano ambony amin’ ny tranon’ i Ahaza, izay nataon’ ireo mpanjakan’ ny Joda, sy ny alitara izay nataon’ i Manase tao anatin’ ny kianja roa tamin’ ny tranon’ i Jehovah, dia noravan’ ny mpanjaka ka notorotoroiny, dia nafafiny tany amin’ ny lohasahan-driaka Kidrona ny vovony.
And the altars that were on the roof of the upper chamber of Achaz, which the kings of Juda had made, and the altars which Manasses had made in the two courts of the house of the Lord, did the king pull down and forcibly remove from thence, and cast their dust into the brook of Kedron.
13 Ary nolotoin’ ny mpanjaka ireo fitoerana avo izay teo anoloan’ i Jerosalema, teo amin’ ny ankavanan’ ny tendrombohitra nahitan-doza, dia ireo nataon’ i Solomona, mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely, ho an’ i Astarta, fa havetavetan’ ny Sidoniana, sy ho an’ i Kemosy, fahavetavetan’ i Moaba, ary ho an’ i Milkoma, fahavetavetan’ ny taranak’ i Amona.
And the king defiled the house that was before Jerusalem, on the right hand of the mount of Mosthath, which Solomon king of Israel built to Astarte the abomination of the Sidonians, and to Chamos the abomination of Moab, and to Moloch the abomination of the children of Ammon.
14 Dia notorotoroiny ny tsangam-baton-tsampy sady nokapainy koa ny Aseraha, ka nofenoiny taolan’ olona ny nitoerany.
And he broke in pieces the pillars, and utterly destroyed the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.
15 Ary ny alitara izay tao Betela sy ny fitoerana avo izay nataon’ i Jeroboama, zanak’ i Nebata, ilay nampanota ny Isiraely, dia noravany koa; ary nodorany ny fitoerana avo ka notorotoroiny ho vovoka, ary nodorany koa ny Aseraha.
Also the high altar in Baethel, which Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin, had made, even that high altar he tore down, and broke in pieces the stones of it, and reduced it to powder, and burnt the grove.
16 Ary nitodika Josia ka nahita ny fasana teny an-tendrombohitra, dia naniraka naka ny taolana tao am-pasana, ary nodorany teo ambonin’ ny alitara ireny nandotoany azy, araka ny tenin’ i Jehovah, izay notorin’ ilay lehilahin’ Andriamanitra.
And Josias turned aside, and saw the tombs that were there in the city, and sent, and took the bones out of the tombs, and burnt them on the altar, and defiled it, according to the word of the Lord which the man of God spoke, when Jeroboam stood by the altar at the feast: and he turned and raised his eyes to the tomb of the man of God that spoke these words.
17 Dia hoy izy: Tsangam-baton’ iza itsy hitako itsy? Ary hoy ny mponina tao an-tanana taminy: Fasan’ ilay lehilahin’ Andriamanitra izay avy tany Joda io, dia ilay nitory izao zavatra nataonao tamin’ ny alitara eto Betela izao.
And he said, What [is] that mound which I see? And the men of the city said to him, [It is the grave of] the man of God that came out of Juda, and uttered these imprecations which he imprecated upon the altar of Baethel.
18 Ary hoy izy: Aoka itsy; aza misy manetsika ny taolany akory. Dia tsy nokasihiny ny taolany sy ny taolan’ ilay mpaminany avy tany Samaria.
And he said, Let him alone; let no one disturb his bones. So his bones were spared, together with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.
19 Ary ny trano rehetra tamin’ ny fitoerana avo, izay teny amin’ ny tanànan’ i Samaria, izay nataon’ ireo mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely ka nahatonga fahatezerana, dia noravan’ i Josia koa ka nataony araka izay rehetra efa navony tany Betela.
Moreover Josias removed all the houses of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel made to provoke the Lord, and did to them all that he did in Baethel.
20 Ary ny mpisorona rehetra izay teo, dia ny mpisorona amin’ ny fitoerana avo, novonoiny teo ambonin’ ny alitara, sady nandoro taolan’ olona teo koa izy, dia niverina nankany Jerosalema.
And he sacrificed all the priests of the high places that were there on the altars, and burnt the bones of men upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.
21 Ary ny mpanjaka nandidy ny vahoaka rehetra hoe: Tandremo ny Paskan’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo, araka ny voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ity fanekena ity.
And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover to the Lord your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.
22 Fa tsy nisy Paska notandremana toy izany hatramin’ ny andron’ ny mpitsara izay nitsara ny Isiraely, na tamin’ ny andro rehetra nanjakan’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely sy ny mpanjakan’ ny Joda;
For a passover [such as] this had not been kept from the days of the judges who judged Israel, even all the days of the kings of Israel, and of the kings of Juda.
23 fa tamin’ ny taona fahavalo ambin’ ny folo nanjakan’ i Josia mpanjaka no nitandremany izany Paska izany ho an’ i Jehovah tany Jerosalema.
But in the eighteenth year of king Josias, was the passover kept to the Lord in Jerusalem.
24 Ary ny nanao azy ho tsindrian-javatra sy ny mpanao hatsarana sy ny terafima sy ny sampy ary ny fahavetavetana rehetra izay hita tany amin’ ny tany Joda sy tany Jerosalema dia nesorin’ i Josia koa, mba hanatanterahana ny tenin’ ny lalàna voasoratra ao amin’ ilay boky hitan’ i Hilkia mpisorona tao an-tranon’ i Jehovah.
Moreover Josias removed the sorcerers, and the wizards, and the theraphin, and the idols, and all the abominations that had been set up in the land of Juda and in Jerusalem, that he might keep the words of the law that were written in the book, which Chelcias the priest found in the house of the Lord.
25 Ary tsy nisy mpanjaka tahaka azy teo alohany, izay niverina ho amin’ i Jehovah tamin’ ny fony rehetra sy ny fanahiny rehetra sy ny heriny rehetra araka ny lalàn’ i Mosesy rehetra; sady tsy nisy tahaka azy intsony niseho tao aoriany.
There was no king like him before him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his strength, according to all the law of Moses; and after him there rose not one like him.
26 Nefa Jehovah tsy nitsahatra tamin’ ny firehetan’ ny fahatezerany mafy, dia ilay fahatezerana nirehitra tamin’ ny Joda noho ny fampahatezerana rehetra izay nampahatezeran’ i Manase Azy.
Nevertheless the Lord turned not from the fierceness of his great anger, wherewith he was wroth in his anger against Juda, because of the provocations, wherewith Manasses provoked him.
27 Dia hoy Jehovah: Hesoriko koa ny Joda hiala eo imasoko, tahaka ny nanesorako ny Isiraely, ary holaviko ity tanàna Jerosalema nofidiko ity sy ny trano izay nolazaiko hoe: Ho ao ny anarako.
And the Lord said, I will also remove Juda from my presence, as I removed Israel, and will reject this city which I have chosen [even] Jerusalem, and the house [of] which I said, My name shall be there.
28 Ary ny tantaran’ i Josia sisa mbamin’ izay rehetra nataony, tsy efa voasoratra ao amin’ ny bokin’ ny tantaran’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Joda va izany?
And the rest of the acts of Josias, and all that he did, [are] not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Juda?
29 Tamin’ ny andro nanjakan’ i Josia no niakaran’ i Farao-neko, mpanjakan’ i Egypta, hankany amoron’ ny ony Eofrata hiady amin’ ny mpanjakan’ i Asyria; ary Josia mpanjaka dia nandeha hiady amin’ i Farao. Kanjo nony hitany, dia matiny tao Megido izy.
And in his days went up Pharao Nechao king of Egypt against the king of the Assyrians to the river Euphrates: and Josias went out to meet him: and Nechao slew him in Mageddo when he saw him.
30 Ary ny fatiny dia napetraky ny mpanompony tao anaty kalesy ka nentiny niala tao Megido ho any Jerosalema, dia naleviny tao amin’ ny fasany. Ary nalain’ ny vahoaka Joahaza, zanak’ i Josia, dia nohosorany ka nampanjakainy handimby an-drainy.
And his servants carried him dead from Mageddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre: and the people of the land took Joachaz the son of Josias, and anointed him, and made him king in the room of his father.
31 Telo amby roa-polo taona Joahaza fony izy vao nanjaka, ary telo volana no nanjakany tany Jerosalema. Ary ny anaran-dreniny dia Hamotala, zanakavavin’ i Jeremia, avy any Libna.
Twenty and three years old was Joachaz when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem: and his mother's name [was] Amital, daughter of Jeremias of Lobna.
32 Ary nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah izy tahaka izay rehetra nataon’ ny razany.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his fathers did.
33 Ary nafatotr’ i Farao-neko tao Ribla any amin’ ny tany Hamata izy, mba tsy hanjakany any Jerosalema, sady nampandoaviny sazy talenta volafotsy zato sy talenta volamena iray ny fanjakana.
And Pharao Nechao removed him to Rablaam in the land of Emath, so that he should not reign in Jerusalem; and imposed a tribute on the land, a hundred talents of silver, and a hundred talents of gold.
34 Ary Farao-neko nanendry an’ i Eliakima, zanak’ i Josia, ho mpanjaka hisolo an’ i Josia rainy; ary ny anarany novany ho Joiakima, fa Joahaza kosa dia nentiny ho any Egypta ka maty tany.
And Pharao Nechao made Eliakim son of Josias king of Juda king over them in the place of his father Josias, and he changed his name [to] Joakim, and he took Joachaz and brought him to Egypt, and he died there.
35 Ary ny volafotsy sy ny volamena dia nomen’ i Joiakima an’ i Farao; kanefa notombanany avokoa ny olona rehetra araka ny didin’ i Farao, ary ny vahoaka rehetra dia samy nampandoaviny vola araka ny tombany avy, mba homeny an’ i Farao-neko.
And Joakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharao; but he assessed the land to give the money at the command of Pharao: they gave the silver and the gold [each] man according to his assessment together with the people of the land to give to Pharao Nechao.
36 Dimy amby roa-polo taona Joiakima, fony izy vao nanjaka, ary nanjaka iraika ambin’ ny folo taona tany Jerosalema izy. Ary ny anaran-dreniny dia Zebida, zanakavavin’ i Pedaia, avy any Romaha.
Twenty-five years old [was] Joakim when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name [was] Jeldaph, daughter of Phadail of Ruma.
37 Ary nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah izy tahaka izay nataon’ ny razany.
And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the lord, according to all that his fathers had done.
