2 Korintiana 8

1 Ary ampahafantarinay anareo, ry rahalahy, ny fahasoavan’ Andriamanitra izay nomena tao amin’ ny fiangonana any Makedonia;

And, brothers, we declare to you the grace of God that has been given in the congregations of Macedonia,

2 fa tamin’ ny fahoriana be nizahan-toetra azy no nitomboan’ ny hafaliany, ary ny hamafin’ ny fahantrany no nampitombo ny hitsim-pony.

that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy, even from the depth of their poverty, abounded for the wealth of their generosity,

3 Koa vavolombelona aho fa araka ny zakany, eny, mihoatra noho ny zakany aza, sady araka ny sitrapony ihany, no nanomezany,

so that according to their ability, I testify, and beyond their ability, willingly,

4 sady nangataka mafy taminay koa izy mba havelanay hikambana amin’ izany fanompoana ho an’ ny olona masìna izany;

with much exhortation, begging of us the favor, even the fellowship of service for the sanctified.

5 ary tsy araka ny nantenainay, fa ny tenany no natolony ho an’ ny Tompo aloha, dia ho anay koa noho ny sitrapon’ Andriamanitra;

And it was not as we expected, but first they gave themselves to the Lord and to us through the will of God,

6 ka dia nangataka an’ i Titosy izahay mba hahatanteraka izany fahasoavana izany eo aminareo koa, araka ny efa nanombohany azy teo aloha.

for us to urge Titus that, as he earlier began this kindness, so he would even finish it for you also.

7 Fa araka ny itomboanareo amin’ ny zavatra rehetra, na amin’ ny finoana, na amin’ ny teny, na amin’ ny fahalalana, na amin’ ny fahazotoana rehetra, na amin’ ny fitiavanareo anay, dia aoka ho araka izany koa no hitomboanareo amin’ izao fahasoavana izao.

But as ye abound in everything, in faith, and word, and knowledge, and all diligence, and in your love to us, so that ye may also abound in this kindness.

8 Tsy milaza izany ho didy aho, fa noho ny zotom-pon’ ny sasany, mba hizaha toetra ny hamarinan’ ny fitiavanareo koa.

I speak not from commandment, but because of the zeal of others, also examining the genuineness of your love.

9 Fa fantatrareo ny fahasoavan’ i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika, fa na dia nanan-karena aza Izy, dia tonga malahelo noho ny aminareo, mba hampanan-karena anareo ny alahelony.

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that although he was rich he became poor for your sakes, so that by that man's poverty ye might become rich.

10 Ary dia ambarako izay hevitro ny amin’ izany, fa mahatsara anareo izany, satria tsy ny fanaovana ihany, fa ny fikasana koa aza dia efa natombokareo teo alohan’ ny sasany hatry ny taon-itsy.

And in this I give judgment, for this is expedient for you who earlier began, from a year ago, not only the doing but also the intending.

11 Ataovy tanteraka ary izany, ka tahaka ny nahazotoanareo fony nikasa, dia aoka ho tahaka izany koa ny hahatanterahanareo azy araka izay ananareo.

And now also finish the doing, so that just as was the willingness of the intending, so also to finish from the having.

12 Fa raha misy ny fahazotoana, dia araka izay ananany no ankasitrahana, fa tsy araka izay tsy ananany.

For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable to the extent if some man has, not to the extent he does not have.

13 Kanefa tsy ny hahatonga fitsaharana amin’ ny sasany ary fahoriana aminareo no anaovako izany,

For it is not so that ease is for others and stress for you, but out of parity your abundance at the present time is for the need of those men.

14 fa ny mba hisy fitoviana, ka amin’ izao ankehitriny izao ny haben’ ny harenareo no hahafaka ny alahelon’ ireo, ary ny haben’ ny haren’ ireo kosa no hahafaka ny alahelonareo, mba hisy fitoviana,

So that the abundance of those men may also happen for your need, so that there may become equity,

15 araka ny voasoratra hoe: Ny nanangona be tsy nanana amby, ary ny nanangona kely tsy nanana ny tsy ampy.

as it is written, he of much did not abound, and he of little did not lack.

16 Fa isaorana anie Andriamanitra, Izay manome fahazotoana ho ao am-pon’ i Titosy ho anareo mitovy amin’ ny ahy.

But thanks to God who gives the same eagerness for you in the heart of Titus.

17 Fa nanaiky ny fangatahanay ihany izy, nefa nazoto rahateo, ka sitrapony ihany no nandehanany nankany aminareo.

Because he indeed accepted the exhortation, but his own will being more zealous, he went forth to you.

18 Ary ilay rahalahy izay nalaza amin’ ny filazantsara any amin’ ny fiangonana rehetra no nirahinay hiaraka aminy;

And we sent along with him the brother whose praise in the good news is throughout all the congregations.

19 ary tsy izany ihany, fa efa notendren’ ny fiangonana koa izy ho namanay hiara-mandeha aminay hitondra izao fahasoavana izao, izay angoninay ho voninahitry ny Tompo sy ho vavolombelon’ ny fahazotoanay.

And not only so, but who was also chosen by the congregations, a traveling companion of us with this gift administered by us, for the glory of the same Lord and our willingness.

20 Ary mitandrina izahay mba tsy hisy hanome tsiny anay amin’ izao harena be angoninay izao;

Arranging this lest any man may criticize us in this bounty administered by us,

21 fa miomana hanao izay mahamendrika izahay, tsy eo imason’ ny Tompo ihany, fa eny imason’ ny olona koa.

providing things right, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

22 Ary nirahinay niaraka tamin’ ireo ilay rahalahinay izay efa hitanay mazoto matetika amin’ ny zavatra maro; fa ankehitriny mazoto kokoa izy noho ny haben’ ny fahatokiany anareo.

And we sent along with them our brother whom we often proved being diligent in many things, but is now much more diligent (with much confidence toward you)

23 Raha ny amin’ i Titosy, dia namako izy sady mpiara-miasa amiko ho anareo; ary ireo rahalahinay, dia iraky ny fiangonana izy sady voninahitr’ i Kristy.

whether on behalf of Titus my partner and co-workman for you, or our brothers, apostles of congregations, a glory of Christ.

24 Koa amin’ izany asehoy aminy eo imason’ ny fiangonana ny famantarana mahamarina ny fitiavanareo sy ny reharehanay ny aminareo.

Therefore show ye the proof of your love and our boast about you, for them in the face of the congregations.
