< 2 Tantara 9 >

1 Ary ny mpanjakavavin’ i Sheba, rehefa ny nahare ny lazan’ i Solomona, dia tonga tany Jerosalema hizaha toetra azy tamin’ ny fanontaniana sarotra, ary maro be ny mpanaraka azy, sady be koa ny rameva izay nitondra zava-manitra sy volamena sesehena ary vato soa; ary rehefa tonga tao amin’ i Solomona izy, dia niresaka taminy ny amin’ izay rehetra tao am-pony.
When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to test Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great caravan, including camels that bore spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones. When she had come to Solomon, she talked with him about all that was in her heart.
2 Ary voavalin’ i Solomona izy tamin’ izay rehetra nanontaniany azy; tsy nisy zavatra niafina tamin’ i Solomona, fa nambarany azy avokoa.
Solomon answered all her questions. There wasn’t anything hidden from Solomon which he didn’t tell her.
3 Ary rehefa hitan’ ilay mpanjakavavin’ i Sheba ny fahendren’ i Solomona sy ny trano izay nataony
When the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,
4 sy ny hanim-pihinany teo amin’ ny latabany, sy ny fipetrahan’ ny tandapany sy ny fitoeran’ ny mpanompony mbamin’ ny fitafian’ ireo sy ny mpitondra kapoakany sy ny fitafian’ ireo, ary ny ambaratonga izay niakarany ho ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah, dia talanjona terỳ izy.
the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the attendance of his ministers, their clothing, his cup bearers and their clothing, and his ascent by which he went up to Yahweh’s house, there was no more spirit in her.
5 Dia hoy izy tamin’ ny mpanjaka: Marina ny teny efa reko tany amin’ ny taniko ny amin’ ny teninao sy ny fahendrenao.
She said to the king, “It was a true report that I heard in my own land of your acts and of your wisdom.
6 Kanefa tsy nino ny filazana aho, raha tsy tonga atỳ, ka ny masoko no mahita; kanjo hay! na dia ny antsasaky ny fahendrenao aza tsy voalaza tamiko akory; fa, indro, mihoatra noho ny laza efa reko ianao.
However I didn’t believe their words until I came, and my eyes had seen it; and behold half of the greatness of your wisdom wasn’t told me. You exceed the fame that I heard!
7 Sambatra lahy ny olonao, ary sambatra ireto tandapanao ireto, izay mijanona eto anatrehanao mandrakariva ka mandre ny fahendrenao!
Happy are your men, and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom.
8 Isaorana anie Jehovah Andriamanitrao Izay tia anao ka nametraka anao amin’ ny seza fiandrianany ho mpanjaka ho an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrao; fa noho ny fitiavan’ Andriamanitrao ny Isiraely hampitoetra azy mandrakizay no nanaovany anao ho mpanjakany mba hanao fitsarana sy fahamarinana.
Blessed be Yahweh your God, who delighted in you and set you on his throne to be king for Yahweh your God, because your God loved Israel, to establish them forever. Therefore he made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness.”
9 Ary izy nanome talenta volamena roa-polo amby zato sy zava-manitra sesehena ary vato soa ho an’ ny mpanjaka; tsy nisy intsony zava-manitra tahaka ilay nomen’ ny mpanjakavavin’ i Sheba an’ i Solomona mpanjaka.
She gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, spices in great abundance, and precious stones. There was never before such spice as the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
10 Ary ny mpanompon’ i Hirama koa sy ny mpanompon’ i Solomona, izay naka volamena avy tany Ofira, dia nitondra hazo almoga sy vato soa.
The servants of Huram and the servants of Solomon, who brought gold from Ophir, also brought algum trees and precious stones.
11 Ary ny hazo almoga dia nataon’ ny mpanjaka ambaratonga mankamin’ ny tranon’ i Jehovah sy ny lapan’ andriana ary nataony lokanga sy valiha ho an’ ny mpihira koa; ary tsy mbola nisy hita toy izany teo aloha tamin’ ny tanin’ ny Joda.
The king used algum tree wood to make terraces for Yahweh’s house and for the king’s house, and harps and stringed instruments for the singers. There were none like these seen before in the land of Judah.
12 Ary Solomona mpanjaka dia nanome ny mpanjakavavin’ i Sheba kosa izay rehetra niriny, na inona na inona nangatahiny, afa-tsy izay valin’ ny nentiny ho an’ ny mpanjaka; ka dia niverina izy, ary lasa nody tany amin’ ny taniny izy mbamin’ ny mpanompony.
King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatever she asked, more than that which she had brought to the king. So she turned and went to her own land, she and her servants.
13 Ary ny lanjan’ ny volamena izay tonga tao amin’ i Solomona isan-taona dia talenta volamena enina amby enim-polo amby enin-jato,
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
14 afa-tsy izay nentin’ ny mpivarotra sy ny mpandranto. Ary ny mpanjakan’ i Arabia rehetra sy ny mpanapaka ny tany dia samy nitondra volamena sy volafotsy ho an’ i Solomona.
in addition to that which the traders and merchants brought. All the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
15 Ary Solomona mpanjaka nanao ampinga volamena lehibe roan-jato tamin’ ny volamena voafisaka, ka takela-bolamena sekely enin-jato no napetaka tamin’ ny ampinga lehibe iray.
King Solomon made two hundred large shields of beaten gold. Six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one large shield.
16 Ary nanao ampinga volamena telonjato koa izy tamin’ ny volamena voafisaka, ka takela-bolamena sekely telon-jato no napetaka tamin’ ny ampinga iray. Dia napetraky ny mpanjaka tao amin’ ny trano Alan’ i Libanona lreo.
He made three hundred shields of beaten gold. Three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. The king put them in the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
17 Ary ny mpanjaka nanao seza fiandrianana ivory lehibe, ka nopetahany takela-bolamena tsara.
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
18 Nisy ambaratonga enina amin’ ny seza fiandrianana sy fitoeran-tongotra volamena, izay naraikitra tamin’ ny seza fiandrianana, ary nisy fitehenana teo an-daniny roa tamin’ ny fipetrahana ary nisy sarin-diona roa teo an-danin’ ny fitehenan-tanana;
There were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and armrests on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the armrests.
19 ary nisy sarin-diona roa ambin’ ny folo teo an-daniny roa teo amin’ ny ambaratonga enina. Tsy nisy natao tahaka izany tany amin’ ny fanjakana rehetra.
Twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other on the six steps. There was nothing like it made in any other kingdom.
20 Ary ny fisotroan’ i Solomona mpanjaka dia volamena avokoa, ary ny fanaka rehetra tao amin’ ny trano Alan’ i Libanona koa dia volamena tsara avokoa; tsy nisy volafotsy ireo, fa natao toy ny tsinontsinona izany tamin’ ny andron’ i Solomona.
All King Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were of pure gold. Silver was not considered valuable in the days of Solomon.
21 Fa ny mpanjaka nanana sambo mpankany Tarsisy niaraka tamin’ ny mpanompon’ i Hirama; ary indray mandeha isan-telo taona no nihavian’ ny sambon’ i Tarsisy nitondra volamena sy volafotsy sy ivory sy rajako ary vorombola.
For the king had ships that went to Tarshish with Huram’s servants. Once every three years, the ships of Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.
22 Ary Solomona mpanjaka dia nanan-karena sady hendry indrindra noho ny mpanjaka rehetra ambonin’ ny tany.
So King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
23 Ary ny mpanjaka rehetra ambonin’ ny tany nitady hahita ny tavan’ i Solomona mba hihaino ny fahendrena, izay nataon’ Andriamanitra tao am-pony.
All the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.
24 Ary izy rehetra dia samy nahatonga ny anjarany avy isan-taona, dia fanaka volafotsy sy fanaka volamena sy fitafiana sy fiadiana sy zava-manitra sy soavaly ary ampondra.
They each brought tribute: vessels of silver, vessels of gold, clothing, armor, spices, horses, and mules every year.
25 Ary Solomona nanana efi-trano efatra arivo fitoeran’ ny soavaly mpitarika kalesy ary soavaly fitaingina roa arivo sy iray alina, izay nataony tao amin’ ireo tanàna fitoeran-kalesy sy tao amin’ ny mpanjaka tany Jerosalema.
Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen that he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.
26 Ary nanjaka tamin’ ny mpanjaka rehetra hatramin’ ny Ony ka hatramin’ ny tanin’ ny Filistina ary hatramin’ ny sisin’ i Egypta izy.
He ruled over all the kings from the River even to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.
27 Ary nataon’ ny mpanjaka tahaka ny vato ny habetsaky ny volafotsy tany Jerosalema, ary ny hazo sedera nataony toy ny aviavy eny amin’ ny tany lemaka amoron-tsiraka.
The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars to be as abundant as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland.
28 Ary nangalana soavaly avy tany Egypta sy tany amin’ ny tany rehetra koa Solomona.
They brought horses for Solomon out of Egypt and out of all lands.
29 Ary ny tantaran’ i Solomona sisa, na ny voalohany na ny farany, tsy efa voasoratra va izany ao amin’ ny bokin’ i Natana mpaminany sy amin’ ny faminanian’ i Ahia Silonita sy amin’ ny fahitan’ Ido mpahita ny amin’ i Jeroboama, zanak’ i Nebata?
Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, aren’t they written in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?
30 Ary Solomona nanjaka efa-polo taona tamin’ ny Isiraely rehetra tany Jerosalema.
Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
31 Ary Solomona lasa nodimandry any amin’ ny razany, dia nalevina tao an-Tanànan’ i Davida rainy izy; ary Rehoboama zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.
Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in his father David’s city; and Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.
