< 2 Tantara 33 >
1 Roa ambin’ ny folo taona Manase, fony izy vao nanjaka, ary dimy amby dimam-polo taona no nanjakany tany Jerosalema.
Twelve years old was Manasseh when he became king, and fifty and five years did he reign in Jerusalem.
2 Ary nanao izay ratsy eo mason’ i Jehovah izy tahaka ny fahavetavetan’ ny firenena izay noroahin’ i Jehovah tsy ho eo anoloan’ ny Zanak’ isiraely.
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, after the abominable acts of the nations whom the Lord had driven out from before the children of Israel.
3 Fa namboariny indray ny fitoerana avo, izay efa noravan’ i Hezekia rainy, ka nanangana alitara ho an’ ireo Bala izy sady nanao Aseraha sy niankohota teo anatrehan’ izay rehetra eny amin’ ny lanitra ka nanompo azy
And he built again the high-places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he erected altars for the Be'alim, and made Asheroth, and bowed himself down to all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 sady nanorina alitara tao an-tranon’ i Jehovah, dia tao amin’ ilay nolazain’ i Jehovah hoe: Any Jerosalema no hitoeran’ ny anarako mandrakizay.
And he built altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.
5 Fa nanao alitara teo anatin’ ny kianja roa amin’ ny tranon’ i Jehovah izy ho an’ izay rehetra eny amin’ ny lanitra.
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 Ary ny zanany nampamakiny ny afo teo an-dohasahan’ ny taranak’ i Hinoma, sady nanandro sy nanao sikidy izy sy nanana ody ary naka ny manao azy ho tsindrian-javatra sy ny mpanao hatsarana, dia nahery nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah izy ka nampahatezitra Azy.
And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of Ben-hinnom: he also observed times, and employed enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with [those of] a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he did much that is evil in the eyes of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7 Ary izay sarin-javatra voasokitra momba ny sampy nataony dia napetrany tao an-tranon’ Andriamanitra, izay nolazain’ Andriamanitra tamin’ Davida sy Solomona zanany hoe: Eto amin’ ity trano ity sy eto Jerosalema, izay nofidiko tamin’ ny firenen’ isiraely rehetra, no hasiako ny anarako mandrakizay;
And he placed a carved image of the idol which he had made in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have made choice of out of all the tribes of Israel, will I place my name for ever.
8 ary tsy hampandeha ny tongotry ny Isiraely intsony hiala amin’ ny tany izay efa notendreko ho an’ ny razanareo Aho, raha mba hitandrina koa izy hanao araka izay rehetra nandidiako azy, dia araka ny lalana rehetra sy ny didy ary ny fitsipika izay nampilazaina an’ i Mosesy.
Nor will I any more remove the foot of Israel from off the land which I have appointed for your fathers; but only if they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
9 Kanjo nampivily ny Joda sy ny mponina tany Jerosalema Manase mba hanao ratsy mihoatra noho ny firenena izay naringan’ i Jehovah tsy ho eo anoloan’ ny Zanak’ isiraely.
But Menasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem astray, to do worse than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed from before the children of Israel.
10 Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Manase sy ny vahoakany, nefa tsy nety nihaino izy.
And the Lord spoke to Menasseh, and to his people; but they listened not.
11 Dia nentin’ i Jehovah hamely azy ny komandin’ ny miaramilan’ ny mpanjakan’ i Asyria, dia nosamborin’ ireo Manase ka nasiany masom-by sady nogadrany gadra varahina ary nentiny ho any Babylona.
Wherefore the Lord brought over them the captains of the army belonging to the king of Assyria: and they took Menasseh prisoner with chains, and bound him with fetters, and led him off to Babylon.
12 Ary nony azom-pahoriana mafy izy, vao nifona tamin’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny sady nanetry tena indrindra teo anatrehan’ Andriamanitry ny razany
And when he was in distress, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.
13 ka nivavaka taminy; ary Jehovah nanaiky ka nihaino ny fifonany, dia nampody azy ho any Jerosalema ho any amin’ ny fanjakany. Ka dia fantatr’ i Manase fa Jehovah no Andriamanitra.
And he prayed unto him, and he permitted himself to be entreated by him, and heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem, unto his kingdom. Then did Menasseh feel conscious that the Lord is indeed the [true] God.
14 Ary rehefa afaka izany, dia nanao manda teo ivelan’ ny Tanànan’ i Davida izy, dia teo andrefana hatrany Gihona, eo amin’ ny lohasahan-driaka, ka hatramin’ ny fidirana amin’ ny vavahadin-kazandrano, ary nataony manodidina an’ i Ofela sady nataony avo dia avo; ary nanendry izay ho komandin’ ny miaramila ho any amin’ ny tanàna mimanda rehetra any Joda izy.
And after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gichon, in the valley, even to the entrance of the fish-gate, and about the hill-fort, and raised it up to a very great height; and he placed captains of the army in all the fortified cities of Judah.
15 Dia nesoriny ireny andriamani-kafa sy ny sampy tao an-tranon’ i Jehovah mbamin’ ny alitara rehetra izay efa naoriny teo an-tendrombohitry ny tranon’ i Jehovah sy tany Jerosalema ka nariany teny ivelan’ ny tanàna.
And he removed the strange gods and the idol out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built on the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Jerusalem, and he cast them forth to without the city.
16 Ary nanorina indray ny alitaran’ i Jehovah izy ka namono zavatra hatao fanati-pihavanana sy fanati-pisaorana teo amboniny, dia nandidy ny Joda hanompo an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.
And he rebuilt the altar of the Lord, and sacrificed thereupon peace-offerings and thanksgiving-offerings, and he ordered Judah to serve the Lord the God of Israel.
17 Fa ny olona mbola namono zavatra hatao fanatitra teny amin’ ny fitoerana avo ihany, kanefa kosa ho an’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny ihany.
Nevertheless the people sacrificed on the high-places, but only unto the Lord their God.
18 Ary ny tantaran’ i Manase sisa mbamin’ ny vavaka nataony tamin’ Andriamaniny sy ny tenin’ ireo mpahita izay niteny taminy tamin’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely indro, ao amin’ ny tantaran’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely izany.
And the rest of the acts of Menasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the Lord the God of Israel, behold, they are in the history of the kings of Israel.
19 Ary koa, ny vavaka nataony sy ny naneken’ Andriamanitra izany ary ny fahotany sy ny fahadisoany rehetra mbamin’ ny fitoerana izay nanorenany fitoerana avo sy nananganany Aseraha sy sarin-javatra voasokitra, fony izy tsy mbola nanetry tena, indro, efa voasoratra ao amin’ ny tenin’ i Hozay izany.
His prayer also, and [how God] was entreated of him, and all his sins and his faithlessness, and the places whereon he built high-places, and set up the Asherim and the graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written in the history of Chozai.
20 Ary Manase lasa nodi-mandry any amin’ ny razany, dia nalevina tao an-tranony; ary Amona zanany no nanjaka nandimby azy.
And Menasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his own house. And Amon his son became king in his stead.
21 Roa amby roa-polo taona Amona, fony izy vao nanjaka, ary roa taona no nanjakany tany Jerosalema.
Two and twenty years old was Amon when he became king, and two years did he reign in Jerusalem.
22 Ary nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah tahaka ny nataon’ i Manase rainy ihany izy; fa ny sarin-javatra voasokitra rehetra nataon’ i Manase rainy dia namonoan’ i Amona zavatra hatao fanatitra ka notompoiny;
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, as Menasseh his father had done; and unto all the carved images which Menasseh his father had made did Amon sacrifice, and them he served;
23 ary tsy nanetry tena teo anatrehan’ i Jehovah tahaka ny nataon’ i Manase rainy izy, fa mainka nanota bebe kokoa aza.
But he did not humble himself before the Lord, as Menasseh his father had humbled himself; for he, Amon, made his guiltiness great.
24 Dia nikomy taminy ny mpanompony ka namono azy tao an-tranony.
And his servants conspired against him, and put him to death in his own house.
25 Fa ny vahoaka kosa namono izay rehetra efa nikomy tamin’ i Amona mpanjaka, dia nampanjaka an’ i Josia zanany hisolo azy.
But the people of the land slew all those that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
