1 Ary Hezekia naniraka tany amin’ ny Isiraely sy ny Joda rehetra ka nanoratra taratasy ho amin’ ny Efraima sy ny Manase koa mba hankanesany any an-tranon’ i Jehovah any Jerosalema hitandrina ny Paska ho an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely.
Then Hezekiah sent word to all Israel and Judah, and sent letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, requesting them to come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel.
2 Fa ny mpanjaka sy ny mpanapaka mbamin’ ny fiangonana rehetra tany Jerosalema dia niara-nihevitra ny amin’ ny hitandremana ny Paska amin’ ny volana faharoa.
For the king, after discussion with his chiefs and all the body of the people in Jerusalem, had made a decision to keep the Passover in the second month.
3 Nefa tsy nahatandrina azy tamin’ izany andro izany izy, satria ny mpisorona tsy mbola nanamasina ny tenany loatra, ary ny olona koa tsy mbola vory tany Jerosalema.
It was not possible to keep it at that time, because not enough priests had made themselves holy, and the people had not come together in Jerusalem.
4 Ary sitraky ny mpanjaka sy ny fiangonana rehetra izany.
And the thing was right in the eyes of the king and all the people.
5 Dia nandidy handefa teny eran’ ny Isiraely rehetra hatrany Beri-sheba ka hatrany Dana izy mba hankanesan’ ny olona hitandrina ny Paska ho an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Isiraely, any Jerosalema; fa ny be sy ny maro tsy mba nitandrina azy araka ny voasoratra.
So it was ordered that word was to be sent out through all Israel, from Beer-sheba to Dan, that they were to come to keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem: because they had not kept it in great numbers in agreement with the law.
6 Dia lasa ny tsimandoa nitondra ny taratasy avy tamin’ ny mpanjaka sy ny mpanapaka hitety ny Isiraely sy ny Joda rehetra ka nilaza araka ny didin’ ny mpanjaka hoe: Ry zanak’ isiraely ô, miverena amin’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitr’ i Abrahama sy Isaka ary Isiraely, mba hiverenany ho amin’ izay sisa aminareo izay tsy azon’ ny tànan’ ireo mpanjakan’ i Asyria.
So runners went with letters from the king and his chiefs through all Israel and Judah, by the order of the king, saying, O children of Israel, come back again to the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, so that he may come again to that small band of you which has been kept safe out of the hands of the kings of Assyria.
7 Aza manahaka ny rainareo sy ny rahalahinareo izay nivadika tamin’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny razany, ka dia natolony ho figagana araka izao hitanareo izao izy.
Do not be like your fathers and your brothers, who were sinners against the Lord, the God of their fathers, so that he made them a cause of fear, as you see.
8 Koa aza manamafy ny hatokareo toy ny nataon’ ny razanareo, fa atolory an’ i Jehovah ny tananareo, ka midìra ao amin’ ny fitoerany masìna, izay nohamasininy ho mandrakizay; ary manompoa an’ i Jehovah Andriamanitrareo, mba hiala aminareo ny fahatezerany mirehitra.
Now do not be hard-hearted, as your fathers were; but give yourselves to the Lord, and come into his holy place, which he has made his for ever, and be the servants of the Lord your God, so that the heat of his wrath may be turned away from you.
9 Fa raha miverina amin’ i Jehovah ianareo, dia hahazo famindram-po eo anatrehan’ izay nitondra azy ho babo ny rahalahinareo sy ny zanakareo, ka dia ho tafaverina amin’ ity tany ity izy; fa miantra sy mamindra fo Jehovah Andriamanitrareo, ary tsy mba hiamboho anareo Izy, raha miverina aminy ianareo.
For if you come back to the Lord, those who took away your brothers and your children will have pity on them, and let them come back to this land: for the Lord your God is full of grace and mercy, and his face will not be turned away from you if you come back to him.
10 Ary ny tsimandoa nitety ny tanàna hatrany amin’ ny tanin’ ny Efraima sy ny Manase ka hatrany amin’ ny Zebolona; fa nihomehezan’ ny olona sy novazivaziny foana izy.
So the runners went from town to town through all the country of Ephraim and Manasseh as far as Zebulun: but they were laughed at and made sport of.
11 Kanefa kosa ny tamin’ ny Asera sy ny Manase ary ny Zebolona dia nisy ihany nanetry tena ka tonga tany Jerosalema.
However, some of Asher and Manasseh and Zebulun put away their pride and came to Jerusalem.
12 Ary ny tànan’ Andriamanitra dia napetrany tamin’ ny Joda koa mba hanome azy fo iray hankatò ny didin’ ny mpanjaka sy ny mpanapaka noho ny tenin’ i Jehovah.
And in Judah the power of God gave them one heart to do the orders of the king and the captains, which were taken as the word of the Lord.
13 Ary tamin’ ny volana faharoa dia nisy olona maro nivory tany Jerosalema hitandrina ny andro firavoravoana fihinanana ny mofo tsy misy masirasira, dia fivoriana lehibe tokoa.
So a very great number of people came together at Jerusalem to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month.
14 Ary nitsangana izy, dia nandrava ireo alitara tany Jerosalema; ary ny alitara fandoroana ditin-kazo manitra rehetra dia noravany koa ka nariany tany amin’ ny lohasahan-driaka Kidrona.
And they got to work and took away all the altars in Jerusalem, and they put all the vessels for burning perfumes into the stream Kidron.
15 Dia namono ny Paska izy tamin’ ny andro fahefatra ambin’ ny folo tamin’ ny volana faharoa; ary menatra, ny mpisorona sy ny Levita, dia nanamasina ny tenany ka nampiditra ny fanatitra dorana ho ao an-tranon’ i Jehovah.
Then on the fourteenth day of the second month they put the Passover lambs to death: and the priests and the Levites were shamed, and made themselves holy and took burned offerings into the house of the Lord.
16 Ary nitsangana teo amin’ ny fitoerany tahaka ny fanao izy, araka ny lalàn’ i Mosesy, lehilahin’ Andriamanitra; ary ny mpisorona nanopy ny rà izay teny an-tànan’ ny Levita.
And they took their places in their right order, as it was ordered in the law of Moses, the man of God: the priests draining out on the altar the blood given them by the Levites.
17 Fa nisy maro tao amin’ ny fiangonana izay tsy mba nanamasina ny tenany, ka dia ny Levita no nampamonoina ny Paska hisolo izay rehetra tsy madio mba hanamasina azy ho an’ i Jehovah.
For there were still a number of the people there who had not made themselves holy: so the Levites had to put Passover lambs to death for those who were not clean, to make them holy to the Lord.
18 Fa nisy olona betsaka, dia maro avy tamin’ ny Efraima sy ny Manase sy ny Isakara ary ny Zebolona, no tsy mba nanadio ny tenany, kanefa nihinana ny Paska ihany izy, fa tsy araka izay voasoratra. Ary Hezekia nivavaka ho an’ ireny ka nanao hoe: Jehovah tsara ô, mamelà
For a great number of the people from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not made themselves clean, but they took the Passover meal, though not in the right way. For Hezekiah had made prayer for them, saying, May the good Lord have mercy on everyone
19 izay rehetra efa nampiomana ny fony hitady an’ Andriamanitra, dia Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny razany, na dia tsy madio araka ny fahadiovan’ ny fitoerana masìna aza izy.
Who, with all his heart, is turned to God the Lord, the God of his fathers, even if he has not been made clean after the rules of the holy place.
20 Ary Jehovah nihaino an’ i Hezekia ka nahasitrana ny olona.
And the Lord gave ear to Hezekiah, and made the people well.
21 Ary ny Zanak’ isiraely izay tany Jerosalema dia nitandrina hafitoana ny andro firavoravoana fihinanana ny mofo tsy misy masirasira tamin’ ny fifaliana lehibe; ary ny Levita sy ny mpisorona nidera an’ i Jehovah isan’ andro sady nampaneno zavatra mafy faneno ho an’ i Jehovah.
So the children of Israel who were present in Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread for seven days with great joy: and the Levites and the priests gave praise to the Lord day by day, making melody to the Lord with loud instruments.
22 Ary Hezekia dia nankasitraka ny Levita rehetra, izay nanana fahaizana ho an’ i Jehovah; ary nihinana ny Paska hafitoana izy sady nanatitra fanati-pihavanana koa sy nisaotra an’ i Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny razany.
And Hezekiah said kind words to the Levites who were expert in the ordering of the worship of the Lord: so they kept the feast for seven days, offering peace-offerings and praising the Lord, the God of their fathers.
23 Ary ny fiangonana rehetra niara-nihevitra ny amin’ ny hitandremana hafitoana indray; ka dia mbola nitandrina hafitoana koa tamin’ ny hafaliana izy.
And by the desire of all the people, the feast went on for another seven days, and they kept the seven days with joy.
24 Fa Hezekia, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, nanome vantotr’ ombilahy arivo sy ondry aman’ osy fito arivo ho an’ ny fiangonana; ary ny mpanapaka koa nanome vantotr’ ombilahy arivo sy ondry aman’ osy iray alina ho an’ ny fiangonana; ary maro ny mpisorona no nanamasina ny tenany.
For Hezekiah, king of Judah, gave to the people for offerings, a thousand oxen and seven thousand sheep; and the rulers gave a thousand oxen and ten thousand sheep; and a great number of priests made themselves holy.
25 Ary faly ny fiangonana, dia ny Joda rehetra sy ny mpisorona sy ny Levita sy izay rehetra tafangona avy tamin’ ny Isiraely mbamin’ ny vahiny izay avy tany amin’ ny tany Isiraely ary izay nonina tany Joda.
And all the people of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and those who had come from Israel, and men from other lands who had come from Israel or who were living in Judah, were glad with great joy.
26 Koa nisy fifaliana be tany Jerosalema; fa hatramin’ ny andron’ i Solomona, zanak’ i Davida, mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely, dia tsy mbola nisy tahaka izany tany Jerosalema.
So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for nothing like this had been seen in Jerusalem from the time of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel.
27 Dia nitsangana ny Levita sy ny mpisorona ka nitso-drano ny olona; ary nohenoin’ Andriamanitra ny feony, ka niakatra ho any an-danitra, fonenany masìna, ny fivavany.
Then the priests and the Levites gave the people a blessing: and the voice of their prayer went up to the holy place of God in heaven.
