1 Timoty 6
1 Aoka izay andevo rehetra eo ambanin’ ny zioga hanao ny tompony ho miendrika hohajaina tsara, mba tsy hitenenana ratsy ny anaran’ Andriamanitra sy ny fampianarana.
Whoever are servants under the yoke, let them consider their masters to be worthy of every honor, lest the name and doctrine of the Lord be blasphemed.
2 Ary izay manana tompo mino dia aoka tsy hanao tsinontsinona azy, satria rahalahy izy; fa vao mainka tokony hotompoiny aza izy, satria mino sy malala ilay mpandray ny soa atao. Izany zavatra izany no ampianaro sy ananaro.
But those who have believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers, but rather serve them all the more because they are believing and beloved, participants of the same service. Teach and exhort these things.
3 Raha misy olona manao fampianarana hafa noho izany ka tsy manaiky ny teny tsy misy kilema, dia ny an’ i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika, sy ny fampianarana izay mahatonga ny toe-panahy araka an’ Andriamanitra,
If anyone teaches otherwise, and does not consent to the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to that doctrine which is in accord with piety,
4 dia mieboebo foana izy ka tsy mahalala na inona na inona, fa adala amin’ ny fiadian-kevitra sy ny fiadian-teny izay mahatonga fialonana, fifandirana, fanaratsiana, fiahiahian-dratsy,
then he is arrogant, knowing nothing, yet languishing amid the questions and quarrels of words. From these arise envy, contention, blasphemy, evil suspicions:
5 fifandirana lalandava, fanaon’ ny olona vetaveta saina sady efa nialan’ ny fahamarinana, manao ny toe-panahy araka an’ Andriamanitra ho fahazoan-javatra.
the conflicts of men who have been corrupted in mind and deprived of truth, who consider profit to be piety.
6 Fa misy tombony lehibe tokoa ny toe-panahy araka an’ Andriamanitra omban’ ny fianinana.
But piety with sufficiency is great gain.
7 Fa tsy nitondra na inona na inona ho amin’ izao tontolo izao isika, sady hita fa tsy hahatondra na inona na inona hiala.
For we brought nothing into this world, and there is no doubt that we can take nothing away.
8 Fa raha manan-kanina sy fitafiana isika, dia aoka hianina amin’ izany.
But, having nourishment and some kind of covering, we should be content with these.
9 Ary izay ta-hanan-karena dia latsaka amin’ ny fakam-panahy sy ny fandrika ary ny filàna maro tsy misy antony sady mandratra, izay mandentika ny olona ao amin’ ny fandringanana sy ny fahaverezana.
For those who want to become rich fall into temptation and into the snare of the devil and into many useless and harmful desires, which submerge men in destruction and in perdition.
10 Fa ny fitiavam-bola no fototry ny ratsy rehetra, koa ny sasany izay fatra-pitady izany dia efa voavily niala tamin’ ny finoana ka nanindrona ny tenany tamin’ ny alahelo be.
For desire is the root of all evils. Some persons, hungering in this way, have strayed from the faith and have entangled themselves in many sorrows.
11 Fa ianao kosa, sy lehilahin’ Andriamanitra, mandosira izany zavatra izany, ka miezaha mitady fahamarinana, toe-panahy araka an’ Andriamanitra, finoana, fitiavana, faharetana, fahalemem-panahy.
But you, O man of God, flee from these things, and truly pursue justice, piety, faith, charity, patience, meekness.
12 Miadia ny ady tsaran’ ny finoana, hazòny ny fiainana mandrakizay; fa ho amin’ izany no niantsoana anao koa sy nanaovanao ilay fanekena tsara teo imason’ ny vavolombelona maro. (aiōnios g166)
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you have been called, and make a good profession of faith in the sight of many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
13 Izaho mananatra anao eo anatrehan’ Andriamanitra, Izay mamelona ny zavatra rehetra, ary eo anatrehan’ i Kristy Jesosy, Izay nanao ilay fanekena tsara teo anatrehan’ i Pontio Pilato,
I charge you, in the sight of God, who enlivens all things, and in the sight of Christ Jesus, who gave the testimony of a good profession under Pontius Pilate,
14 mba hotehirizinao tsy hanan-tsiny amam-pondro hatramin’ ny fisehoan’ i Jesosy Kristy Tompontsika izany didy izany;
to observe the commandment, immaculately, irreproachably, unto the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 ny Andriana finaritra sady tokana, Mpanjakan’ ny mpanjaka sy Tompon’ ny tompo, no haneho izany amin’ ny fotoany;
For at the proper time, he shall reveal the blessed and only Power, the King of kings and the Lord of lords,
16 Izy ihany no manana ny tsi-fahafatesana, mitoetra eo amin’ ny mazava tsy azo hatonina, Izay tsy hitan’ olona sady tsy hainy jerena; ho Azy anie ny voninahitra sy ny fanjakana mandrakizay. Amena. (aiōnios g166)
who alone holds immortality, and who inhabits the inaccessible light, whom no man has seen, nor even is able to see, to whom is honor and everlasting dominion. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
17 Anaro ny mpanankarena amin’ izao fiainana ankehitriny izao mba tsy hiavonavona, na hatoky ny harena miovaova, fa Andriamanitra, Izay manome antsika malalaka ny zavatra rehetra mba hifaliantsika, (aiōn g165)
Instruct the wealthy of this age not to have a superior attitude, nor to hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who offers us everything in abundance to enjoy, (aiōn g165)
18 mba hanao soa, mba hanan-karena amin’ ny asa tsara, hazoto manome sy miantra,
and to do good, to become rich in good works, to donate readily, to share,
19 ka dia hihary fanorenana tsara ho an’ ny tenany ho amin’ ny andro ho avy, mba hihazonany ny tena fiainana.
to gather for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may obtain true life.
20 Ry Timoty, tehirizo ilay natolotra anao, ka mialà amin’ ny fibedibedena foana sy ny fanoherana avy amin’ izay atao hoe fahalalana, kanjo tsy izy,
O Timothy, guard what has been deposited with you, avoiding the voice of profane novelties and of opposing ideas, which are falsely called knowledge.
21 izay neken’ ny sasany, ka nania tamin’ ny finoana izy. Ho aminareo anie ny fahasoavana.
Certain persons, promising these things, have perished from the faith. May grace be with you. Amen.
