< 1 Samoela 27 >
1 Ary Davida nanao anakampo hoe; Mbola ho fatin’ ny tànan’ i Saoly ihany aho indray androany; tsy misy mahasoa ahy afa-tsy ny mandositra haingana any amin’ ny tanin’ ny Filistina, dia hamoy ahy Saoly ka tsy hitady ahy eran’ ny tanin’ ny Isiraely intsony, dia ho afaka amin’ ny tànany aho.
And David said in his heart, Now I may yet perish suddenly one day by the hand of Saul; there is nothing better for me than that I should escape at once into the land of the Philistines, then Saul will abstain from me, to seek me any more in all the territory of Israel: and so shall I escape out of his hand.
2 Ary niainga Davida nandeha mbamin’ ny enin-jato lahy nanaraka azy nankany amin’ i Akisy, zanak’ i Maoka, mpanjakan’ i Gata.
And David arose, and he passed over himself with the six hundred men that were with him unto Achish, the son of Ma'och, the king of Gath.
3 Ary nitoetra tao amin’ i Akisy tao Gata Davida, dia izy sy ny olony, samy nomban’ ny ankohonany avy, ary Davida mbamin’ ny adiny roa, dia Ahinoama Jezirelita sy Abigaila Karmelita, ilay novinadin’ i Nabala.
And David remained with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, also David with his two wives, Achino'am the Yizre'elitess, and Abigayil, Nabal's wife, the Carmelitess.
4 Ary nambara tamin’ i Saoly fa Davida efa nandositra nankany Gata, ka dia tsy nitady azy intsony izy.
And when it was told unto Saul that David was fled to Gath, he continued no more to seek for him.
5 Ary hoy Davida tamin’ i Akisy: Raha mahita fitia eo imasonao aho, aoka mba homena fonenana ao amin’ ny tanàna anankiray any an-tsaha aho mba honenako any, fa nahoana ny mpanomponao no hitoetra aminao eto amin’ ny renivohitry ny fanjakana?
And David said unto Achish, If now I have found grace in thy eyes, let them give me a place in some one of the country-towns, that I may dwell there; for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee?
6 Dia nomen’ i Akisy azy androtrizay Ziklaga; ka dia an’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Joda ambaraka androany Ziklaga.
Then gave Achish unto him on that day Ziklag: therefore hath Ziklag pertained unto the kings of Judah until this day.
7 Ary ny andro nitoeran’ i Davida tany amin’ ny tanin’ ny Filistina dia herintaona sy efa-bolana.
And the number of the days that David dwelt in the fields of the Philistines was a full year and four months.
8 Ary Davida sy ny olony niakatra ka nanafika ny Gesorita sy ny Gizrita ary ny Amalekita; fa ireo nonina tamin’ ny tany hatrizay ela izay, dia hatrany akaikin’ i Sora, hatramin’ ny tany Egypta.
And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gizrites, and the 'Amalekites; for these nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, till thou comest to Shur, and as far as the land of Egypt.
9 Ary Davida namely ny tany, ka tsy nisy novelominy na lehilahy na vehivavy, sady namabo ondry aman’ osy sy omby sy boriky sy rameva ary fitafiana izy, dia niverina nankany amin’ i Akisy.
And David smote the land, and left not alive either man or woman, and took away the flocks, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.
10 Ary hoy Akisy: Moa tsy nanafika va ianareo androany? Dia hoy Davida: Nanafika ny tany atsimo izay an’ i Joda sy izay an’ ny Jeramelita ary izay an’ ny Kenita izahay.
And Achish said, Whither have ye made an inroad today? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Yerachmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.
11 Ary tsy nisy novelomin’ i Davida ho entiny any Gata, na lehilahy na vehivavy; fa hoy izy: Andrao izahay lazainy hoe: Toy izany no nataon’ i Davida, ary toy izany no fanaony tamin’ ny andro rehetra nitoerany tany amin’ ny tanin’ ny Filistina.
And David left not alive either man or woman, to bring [them] to Gath, saying, That they may not tell on us, saying, So hath David done, and so is his custom all the days he hath dwelt in the fields of the Philistines.
12 Ary Akisy nino an’ i Davida ka nanao hoe: Efa nampangidy hoditra ny tenany any amin’ ny Isiraely olony izy, ka dia ho mpanompoko mandrakizay.
And Achish had confidence in David, saying, He hath surely spoiled his odor among his people, among Israel; and he will become unto me a servant for ever.
