< 1 Mpanjaka 5 >

1 Ary Hirama, mpanjakan’ i Tyro, naniraka ny mpanompony ho any amin’ i Solomona, satria reny fa izy no voahosotra ho mpanjaka handimby an-drainy; fa Hirama dia sakaizan’ i Davida hatrizay ela izay.
And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon: for he heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram had always been David’s friend.
2 Ary Solomona naniraka tany amin’ i Hirama hanao hoe:
And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying:
3 Fantatrao fa Davida raiko tsy nahavita trano ho an’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah Andriamaniny noho ny ady nanodidina azy, ambara-panaon’ i Jehovah ireo ho eo ambanin’ ny faladiany.
Thou knowest the will of David my father, and that he could not build a house to the name of the Lord his God, because of the wars that were round about him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.
4 Fa ankehitriny Jehovah Andriamanitro efa nanome ahy fitsaharana amin’ ny manodidina, ka tsy misy fahavalo na loza manjo intsony.
But now the Lord my God hath given me rest round about: and there is no adversary nor evil occurrence.
5 Ary, indro, izaho mikasa hanao trano ho an’ ny anaran’ i Jehovah Andriamanitro, araka ilay nolazain’ i Jehovah tamin’ i Davida raiko hoe: Ny zanakao izay hapetrako eo amin’ ny seza fiandriananao handimby anao, izy no hanao trano ho an’ ny anarako.
Wherefore I purpose to build a temple to the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spoke to David my father, saying: my son, whom I will set upon the throne in thy piece, he shall build a house to my name.
6 Roa dia mba asaovy misy mikapa hazo sedera any Libanona ho ahy; ary ny vahoakako hiarata amin’ ny vahoakanao, ka ny karaman’ ny vahoakanao dia homeko anao araka izay hotononinao; fa fantatrao fa tsy mba misy olona atỳ aminay mahay mikapa hazo tahaka ny Sidoniana.
Give orders therefore that thy servants cut me down cedar trees out of Libanus, and let my servants be with thy servants: and I will give thee the hire of thy servants whatsoever thou wilt ask, for thou knowest how there is not among my people a man that has skill to hew wood like to the Sidonians.
7 Ary rehefa ren’ i Hirama ny tenin’ i Solomona, dia faly indrindra izy ka nanao hoe: Ankehitriny izao dia isaorana anie Jehovah, Izay nanome zanakalahy hendry ho Davida hanapaka izao olona betsaka izao.
Now when Hiram had heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced exceedingly, and said: Blessed be the Lord God this day, who hath given to David a very wise son over this numerous people.
8 Ary Hirama naniraka tany amin’ i Solomona hanao hoe: Efa reko ny nanirahanao tatỳ amiko; koa izaho dia hanao izay rehetra irinao ny amin’ ny hazo sedera sy ny hazo kypreso.
And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying: I have heard all thou hast desired of me: and I will do all thy desire concerning cedar trees, and fir trees.
9 Ny vahoakako hitondra azy midìna avy any Libanona ho any amin’ ny ranomasina, ary hofeheziko ka hampandehaniko mitsinkafona amin’ ny rano ho any amin’ izay hotononinao, ary any vao hoberahiko izy, ka dia ianao kosa no hampaka azy; ary ianao dia hanao izay iriko amin’ ny fanomezan-kanina ho an’ ny ankohonako.
My servants shall bring them down from Libanus to the sea: and I will put them together in floats in the sea, and convey them to the place, which thou shalt signify to me; and will land them there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt allow me necessaries, to furnish food for my household.
10 Ary Hirama dia nanome hazo sedera sy hazo kypreso ho an’ i Solomona araka izay rehetra nilainy.
So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees, and fir trees, according to all his desire.
11 Ary Solomona kosa nanome an’ i Hirama vary tritika roa alina kora ho an’ ny ankohonany ary diloilo roa-polo kora avy amin’ ny oliva voatoto; izany no nomen’ i Solomona an’ i Hirama isan-taona isan-taona.
And Solomon allowed Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat, for provision for his house, and twenty measures of the purest oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram every year.
12 Ary Jehovah nanome fahendrena an’ i Solomona, araka izay nolazainy taminy; ary nihavana Hirama sy Solomona, ka nanao fanekena izy roa lahy.
And the Lord gave wisdom to Solomon, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and they two made a league together.
13 Ary Solomona mpanjaka naka olona tamin’ ny Isiraely rehetra hanao fanompoana, ka olona telo alina no nalainy.
And king Solomon chose workmen cut of all Israel, and the levy was of thirty thousand men.
14 Ary nirahiny nankany Libanona ireny, dia iray alina no indray milatsaka isam-bolana; iray volana izy no tany Libanona, ary roa volana kosa mba tany an-tranony; ary Adonirama no nifehy azy rehetra.
And he sent them to Libanus, ten thousand every month by turns, so that two months they were at home: and Adoniram was over this levy.
15 Ary Solomona nanana mpitondra entana fito alina sy tambato valo alina teny an-tendrombohitra,
And Solomon had seventy thousand to carry burdens, and eighty thousand to hew stones in the mountain:
16 afa-tsy ny lehiben’ ireo olona voatendrin’ i Solomona ireo, izay nitandrina ny raharaha, dia telonjato amby telo arivo lahy izay nifehy ny mpiasa.
Besides the overseers who were over every work, in number three thousand, and three hundred that ruled over the people, and them that did the work.
17 Ary ny mpanjaka dia nandidy hanamboatra vato vaventy tsara sady voapaika hatao fanorenan’ ny trano.
And the king commanded, that they should bring great stones, costly stones, for the foundation of the temple, and should square them:
18 Ary ny mpiasan’ i Solomona sy Hirama (indrindra fa ny avy any Gebala) no nipaika sy nanamboatra ny hazo sy ny vato hatao trano.
And the masons of Solomon, and the masons of Hiram hewed them: and the Giblians prepared timber and stones to build the house.
